This was our third stay at the hotel in the past two years. As on previous visits, we received a warm welcome from the reception team. The facilities at the hotel are superb. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurants and bars offer a wide selection of food and drink in a relaxing and informal atmosphere, served by friendly and efficient staff. Special mention for Gabriele and Roberto.

Not family friendly, would not recommend this hotel for a family holiday. The hotel seems to cater more to adults looking for a very quiet environment but this isn’t made clear when booking. If we’d known that any kind of family fun in the pool was discouraged we would have chosen somewhere else. Our family includes three generations, and we were simply playing gently with a small soft ball in an almost empty pool. We weren’t being loud or disturbing anyone nearby and were very respectful of other guests. Despite this, the lifeguard repeatedly stopped us and even suggested that our 14 and 15 year olds use the tiny children’s paddling pool which was only a few centimetres deep. We’ve stayed in many family friendly hotels and have never experienced such restrictive rules around pool use. The atmosphere around the pools felt very subdued with any kind of harmless fun immediately discouraged. If you’re looking for a relaxing adults only style experience, this hotel may suit you. However, if you’re planning a family holiday where children or teenagers can enjoy the pool responsibly, I’d recommend looking at one of the many more family-friendly hotels around Lake Garda instead.
This hotel has a beautiful location. It sits right by the lake, and you’re only a five‑minute walk from a grocery store. Evening walks along the water on the car‑free path are genuinely lovely. You can see the surrounding mountains - gorgeous! However, the hotel itself does not justify the price. The building is old and feels dated throughout. The indoor spa and pool areas are also very old—well maintained, yes, but clearly past their prime. The outdoor pools are in better condition, but the rules make them almost unusable for families: no jumping, no floating devices, no playing. If you have kids, you’re essentially limited to the small kiddie pool, which is unreasonable. The food quality is mediocre. Breakfast offers plenty of choices, but the taste and overall quality are disappointing—especially considering you’re in Italy, where good food is everywhere. The biggest issue, though, is the staff. From the front desk to the bar, restaurant, and lifeguards, the attitude is consistently rude. It genuinely feels as though tourists are seen as a nuisance. It left us with a bad impression of the entire stay. If you want an honest recommendation: choose a different hotel. You can find places that are cheaper, friendlier, and offer better food and service. Italy has too much great hospitality to settle for this.
We are having an excellent and relaxing family visit at Hotel Casesius to cap off 2 wonderful weeks in Italy! We are loving the grounds and pool, and the many relaxing mineral baths and spa treatment offerings! We have been enjoying the onsite restaurant also, but would welcome a wider array of higher quality ingredients— some of the food is excellent, others are not the standard we have enjoyed elsewhere.
Absolutely amazing service at the restaurant. Gabriel remembered I’m vegan and brought me soy milk for my cereal every morning I arrived. He also remembered I would have a soy cappuccino then a ginseng and without mentioning he would ask if I would want them. I’m so happy with the service and the effort he put into his service. He would always notice when my plate is empty and take them away. 5 starts absolutely because of his service. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
