Lake Como Private Wooden Boat Tour & Italian Glamour

Daniel is the best. Excellent tour!

It was an hour-long sunset cruise from Como. Our captain, Filipo, was terrific! We sailed and drank Prosecco and had a wonderful time! Highly recommend.

We went first thing in the morning which was perfect, less boats and people on the lake. Our guide Philippe was amazing. It can be chilly on the water so dress accordingly.

Getting to the dock annoying as were no clear directions. We were one couple thinking it would be an intimate experience but the boat was large enough for 10 or so people. Denny our guide was great. Super nice and knowledgeable. But not worth the hefty price tag.

The Lake Como boat tour was absolutely wonderful—five stars! The scenery was breathtaking, and seeing the charming villages and elegant villas from the water made the experience truly special. Our travel advisor suggested and booked this private one hour sunset boat tour for us as a way to see the highlights of Lake Como on our first night in Como. The tour itself was lovely. The boat was a wooden boat with ample space and Plexiglass sides for viewing without being sprayed by water and to keep the wind at a minimum. The back seat of the boat is open for another viewing option. Danny was our driver and was so polite and attentive. He began by offering us prosecco and confirming our music preference. We stopped occasionally in front of various villas where Danny would give us a brief history. He was knowledgeable, kind and just overall delightful. I recommend everything about this experience. My only complaint is not about the experience itself but the lead up to getting on the boat. The broker or operator of the boat company contacted me by WhatsApp just 2 hours or less before our tour to ask if we would come earlier. I was a little frazzled by this as we were trying to rest from a long travel day but agreed because I wanted to be flexible and also believed we would get a better sunset by going earlier. We were told to meet at the “office” rather than the dock where our ticket told us to go. We took a taxi to the “office” fully expecting the boat to be right outside the waterfront at that location. Once there, we were asked to fill out a form with my name number and email address, all of which had already been provided and booking. Then we were told we would have to walk another 12 minutes to the dock where the boat would be waiting. This was frustrating as we had been walking all day already and taxis are not easy to get in Como. That was the only downside. Otherwise, I recommend Danny / the disorganization of the company is not his fault.

Filippo was a great captain, his English was great and his boating abilities smooth and seamless. Now for the experience: can’t miss is words that describe it. Eye popping with narration from the captain sharing folklore, facts and some fiction (explained) about celebrities, oligarchs, and generations of owners that have kept Lake Como a bit of a secret and its own perfect oasis. Can’t miss.

A beautiful cruise. We did the 1hr cruise and honestly that was more than enough time to have two people’s photo taken, enjoy prosecco and watch the beautiful sunrise and neighboring homes in lake como. Meeting location was very easy to walk to from parking garage.

10 out of 10 my birthday was complete with the boat tour!! The prosecco was delicious and I was a let to play my own music and get good pictures!

Great tour, our boat driver Daniel is great and he accommodated wherever you want to stop for a photo, very friendly and professional.

Unwilling to help with accidental booking at all, I cried on the phone for 2 hours, talked to their team about an honest mistake, willing to cover any associated costs it took to start the tour, begged for a refund for a $1500 tour and said I would book again in 2 weeks and they were just unwilling to even consider helping me at all. The booking was made at 6 am in Italy time (12 am my time), 7 hours before the tour which shouldn’t even be possible to book that last minute. I understand the work they did to bring the boat out, but I was still willing to pay the full price to rebook + extra. They were very unaccommodating and rude. I understand it is my fault, mistakes happen but I’m in my mid twenties, it is a huge cost to cover on my own, and they wouldn’t even hear me out which upset me as well.

The address listed for pickup by boat to Lake Como's dock WAS COMPLETELY WRONG!!! The hied car abandoned us and said the address Viator listed for the boat pickup was the one he used. IT WAS NOT THE CORRECT ONE! The driver could not find the dock's location and we lost more than ONE HOUR of a very expensive Viator activity I've tried to reach out to your company by phone with no success I would appreciate a return call and refund for A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

What an incredible experience! Andrea did an amazing job planning an ideal 4-hour itinerary, giving us time to explore and eat in Bellagio and to walk through Varenna.

10000/10 - this was just not a boat ride around the lake, this was 60min of jam-packed info of why the lake is so great - who lived there and the history behind it all.

Our tour of Lake Como with Filipo was extraordinary. There was some delay initially due to the amount of traffic on the dock in Lake Como where you board, but he and his company were great at communicating the delay. Filipo was incredibly knowledgeable of the local area! He was humorous and personable, great tour guide. Highly recommend this experience! Plus, who doesn’t love prosecco and a swim in Lake Como outside the gorgeous villas?

Very easy to find driver, he called to let me know where to find him. The boat was gorgeous, the driver was insightful and engaging. The bubbles was offered 35 mins into the hours trip so between two it was a lot to get through, we managed it. The cups given to drink the bubbles were plastic pint cups, not ideal when is such a stunning location but a small issue really!

Amazing sunset tour with Daniel as our guide. Thank you very much very knowledgeable of the surrounding towns as a true local. We enjoyed a quick stop at the Villa de Balbienello. He made our last night and Como very memorable.

What a beautiful boat! Straight out of a movie! Our captain, Fillipo, was very knowledgeable and showed us all the highlights. We told him everything we wanted to see and do and he accommodated us.

We found one hour was plenty of time to get a sense of the lake and some of its most iconic buildings. Boat was beautiful and well maintained, and Danny was a knowledgeable and friendly guide.

The beginning was not pleasant. We let them know the ferry may put us back 5 min and we were just that then they were late after that by 10 min. I called many times to let them know and they said no problem then they argued with us when we arrived. The boat had trash all over it and no champagne waiting that was paid for. Not a luxury experience.
