Lake Como Private Boat Tour

Our tour with Captain Davide was fantastic!! He was an excellent informative captain and great at explaining the many significant locations around Lake Como. And, he has a great sense of humor and made our journey very enjoyable! I would highly recommend this operator and Captain Davide!!

What a day on the water! We were 2 couples that did a 4-hour boat tour on their Cranchi E26 boat which was awesome. Elisa was our captain for the day and she was fantastic! The weather was perfect, we got to jump in and swim a couple of times and she even dropped us off at the Hotel Tremezzo so we could grab a couple of pizzas to go! This is the best way to see Lake Como as we went from Como all the way up to Bellagio and back with plenty of time to see the different Villas and hear the history. An absolute must do...and with this company!

The air was a few degrees cooler on the lake and the breeze felt great! The captain showed us the more famous spots (of course the wedding site - IYKYK) but I found the varied buildings in each small town just beautiful. We stopped for a quick lunch in Menaggio, and ended with a swim in the lake! The water was perfect for such a hot day.

Our family of four had the absolute best day on Lake Como with our Captain Davide aboard the Colombo 26 Bellagio! From checking out all the amazing villas, Davide securing us the best lunch reservation in Bellagio, to taking a swim in the lake…we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Communication was excellent and our driver, Michele, was a great skipper. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and funny too. The 4 hours were thoroughly enjoyable and we were given the choice of where we stopped for lunch. We chose Bellagio, we agreed a time to meet him back to the boat and he was there when we arrived. We really felt we had been shown all the lovely nooks and crannies of the lake, with a little bit of history and stunning views. The boat was beautiful too.

Our 2-hour boat tour on Lake Como was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and there is truly no better way to experience the beauty of the lake, historic villas, and charming waterfront towns than from the water. What made the experience exceptional was our driver, Stefano. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and personable throughout the tour. He shared interesting information about the area, pointed out notable landmarks, and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Stefano's passion for Lake Como was evident, and his recommendations and insights made the experience feel much more personal than a typical sightseeing tour. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lake Como and strongly suggest requesting Stefano if possible. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Amazing experience and one of most lovely days in our lives. Experiencing Lago Di Como from the superb Colombo 26 boat was a once in a lifetime experience! Today we just completed our boat tour on the Colombo 21 with our guide Matteo and it was such an incredible experience! Matteo was so knowledgeable about the houses around us, let us play our music the whole time, and was a really great driver. We also reached out pretty last minute and they were super accommodating which we really appreciated! The experience was really one of the kind and we will definitely be doing this again!

My husband and I enjoyed an 8 hour private boat tour. It was spectacular. Our guide/captain Mateo was just lovely. Spoke very good english. He tailored our trip to what we wanted to see. We spent two hours in Bellagio. Enjoyed some nice vino and of course shopped. Mateo took us to see so many historical sites and famous villas. He had a great knowledge of them. So beautiful doing this from the water. Book a trip! You wont be disappointed. 5 star all the way. Loved it!!

I can't recommend this tour enough! It all started with our tour guide, Alise. She was so sweet and made all of us feel very welcome. There were 6 of us on a girls trip, and Alise fit right in. If you are looking for a great private tour of Lake Como, I highly recommend you try to have Alise as your guide.

Elise our captain was really knowledgeable and friendly. She communicated with us instantly and was exactly where she said she would be when she said she would be. The boat was gorgeous and she made us feel really safe with her at the helm. She was really informative about all the features along the lake and drop us off at our hotel jetty! Which was not part of the tour which was lovely of her I would totally recommend is in this company I wish I could go back tomorrow! It was the best boat of the lake!

This review is for one of the best experiences I and my family had in Italy. We booked a 6 hour tour two years ago, had to cancel due to illness, and set it back up a year later. The whole time the company worked with via email without issue. The day finally showed up and Valentino was our captain for the day. He asked us what our plans or needs were but we were just excited to be doing the day trip and wanted him to use his best judgement but we wanted to see as much of the lake as we could. We had two stops, one to look around Bellagio and another at this small town family restaurant on the water. I would say if you go to Lake Como and you don't get a private boat rental your nuts. I would say if you want the best bang for the money and get the most out of what a boat rental can be you have to go with II Medeghino.

The highlight of our time in Como was a five hour boat excursion. Andrea our captain was so knowledgeable and shared with us every detail about the villas and villages we were seeing from the water. The views from the water are stunning and it’s breathtaking to take it all in in this manner. We were able to make stops in Bellagio and a couple other villages and grab an ice cream, use the restroom etc and then get back on and enjoy the scenery. Staying in Como town was so convenient too as we were picked up at the dock just two minutes walking from our place. This is an experience we will remember and talk about with friends and family for many years to come.m! It’s a must do if you’re going to Como!!

An incredible time! Our guide was Andrea and he was friendly, informative and a great guide around lake como. Absolutely loved our time getting to know the villas and landmarks of the lake. Photos were incredible and he let us get off in Bellagio for lunch before continuing our tour. Grazie Mille!

Tricia and I were picked up at our Hotel Villa Flori by Andrea in our speedboat as we headed from Como to Bellagio. Andrea was an excellent guide and plilot, stopping at dozens of villas to discuss the history and significance of these priceless family properties. We arrived at Bellagio at the midpoint (2 hours) of our journey. Wehad lunch othe Bellagio waterfront and headed home. The skies darkenedquickly and opened up. Thunder and lighting and pelting rain accompanied us about 10 kilometers of the return trip. Andrea did very best to keep us safe. No one was dry, but hewasa trooper, an excellent pilot, quickly earning out trust. It was all part of the journey. Plenty of stories to tell back home over a map, our pictures, and a couple glasses of wine! 5+ stars!

Sent them a WhatsApp and two hours later we were on a boat on lake Como. Prosecco, a hilarious driver and a life jacket for our small daughter - everything we needed

I booked a 2 hour tour on Lake Como for my family (my wife and I and two daughters 8 and 5 years old). All of the transaction was easy to sort and we were given clear instructions on where to meet. Our captain and tour guide for the day (Davide) was really welcoming and made us feel really comfortable to relax and enjoy the boat. He explained lots about the lake and sights along the way and bought fun to our tour (even helping me practice speaking Italian). A private boat tour on a sunny calm day on Lake Como with the girls singing songs from the greatest showman will be a memory I will keep forever. I’d highly recommend this to anyone considering it.

Fantastic experience with Davide, our boat driver. The boat was large and clean. We had 10 people and it easily fit all of us. We enjoyed glasses of Prosecco while our driver took pictures & videos of us. We enjoyed a 4 hour tour with a stop in Bellagio. Davide would stop the boat and give us a history lesson on each of the villas. Communication with the boat company was really good. Text messages were answered within a few hours at the most; minutes while we were in Como. Would HIGHLY recommend. Can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I had an amazing time on the boat Tour. Our captain, Marco, was wonderful. He was on time, knowledgeable and also took our pictures. We highly recommend this if you have a short stay in Como it is a great luxurious way to see a lot in a short span of time.

We arranged for a one hour private tour in a wooden taxi boat and added custom pick up in Curate Urio for our party of 4 which included me and my husband, as well as our 2 moms. Our pilot and guide was Elisa. On the day of our tour she contacted us to coordinate pick up based on weather/waves on the lake to ensure safety while boarding and was kind and knowledgeable as she showed us the many beautiful properties and villas situated around Lake Como. Prior to our arrival, we had several communications with the tour scheduler Cecilia who was attentive to our inquiries, always in a timely manner. We absolutely loved our time on the lake and would highly recommend this tour group to anyone visiting Lake Como! We hope to visit again someday and engage in another tour with Il Medeghino!

Fantastic 3 hour morning cruise with Michele on the Cranchi. Michele was knowledgeable, fun, and flexible - and yet very responsible as a captain. We stopped for quick Aperol Spritzes in Varenna, which we would have missed otherwise because of how difficult it has become to rely on riding the ferries. Michele told us about the notable towns and villas on Como and also about the region's history and development. A private boat tour is a qualitatively different experience from either the fast or the slow ferries. It is fun and it is informative and it engages in a way that ferries cannot. Don't miss out on the sheer joy of it if you can swing it. In terms of organizing, Claudio and Cecilia were great: very responsive, made sensible suggestions, and even worked with us when it turned out that we had accidentally booked for the wrong date! A great end to our Como stay. Thank you Il Medeghino!

Chicco was our captain yesterday on a private tour for my fiancé and I. His communication prior the tour and during was impeccable. We did a 3 hour tour to some of the most key and iconic spots on the lake. We did have some special requests and Chicco also added other key spots to our list of attractions to see. His humour and energy was amazing and added such great comfort and joy to our tour. This was one of the best excursions we could have done on our Italy trip and we are so grateful we did this. If you’re in Como, you have to get on a boat and do a tour! You won’t be disappointed!

We had an amazing time on the Cranchi E26 with Elisa. She was very knowledgeable about the lake and all of the villas along the ride. We stopped in Bellagio for 30 minutes for some quick shopping and then finished the tour with a quick dip in the lake across from Versace’s former villa. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

We reserved the Cranchi 26 for our family for 4 hours and had the best time. We truly felt transported to the pace and beauty of Italy with our very knowledgeable guide Eilà. We (two adults, 10yo & 7yo) recommend this to everyone considering finding a fun and unique way to experience Lake Como!

Valentino gave us a wonderful and relaxing tour of the southern part of Lake Como. He was flexible to talk about what we wanted to learn, took us past some of the most beautiful villas and other architecture along the lake, and was really a joy to talk to. His boat was really clean and comfortable, and made for some of the best photo opportunities of the trip. Thank you Valentino!

The boat operator showed up late, then we he had to get paperwork sorted out at a nearby location before we could begin our tour. During the boat tour, we were dropped off at the Bellagio dock (this was a stuggle for him as his boat was not functioning well and quite scary for us). We were told to meet him back at the dock at a given time, he did not show up for 45 mins after that time, so then he rushed us back to Como instead of doing a stop at another town as he had told us at the beginning of the boat tour. It was too expensive a tour, given the delays and the condition of the boat .... I would not recommend a tour with this group.

Unbelievable Party cruise! Boat tour around lake Como was fenomenal and the karaoke experience was fantastic! Me and my friends had so much fun 💖 The owner is super kind and met all our needs. For sure the best in town!

An afternoon tour with Claudio as our boat driver. He was an absolute gentleman. Great to get away from tourist buses. Lovely stop in Varena village. Night lights on the way back were amazing. My daughters rate the experience 12 out of 5!

Highly recommend Il Medeghino. My girlfriend and I booked a tour with them in early September. The driver picked us up at our hotel dock and was very informative and helpful throughout the tour. One of the best experiences in Lake Como.
