My husband and I took this boat ride as a finale of our 1 year anniversary trip to Italy. We loved it and it became one of our favorite parts of the trip. Pier was accommodating, provided a lovely tour of the area with must sees and he was engaging with stories behind several of the beautiful villas on the lake. He did a great job! If you are spending just one day in on Lake Como, its a great way to see the beautiful area. If you are spending multiple days, i recommend doing the tour as early in your trip as possible because you can see the various areas from the Lake and decide where you want to go.

Our boat tour with Pier was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. When our map app sent us to the wrong spot, Pier kindly came and picked us up somewhere else, with no stress and no fuss. He even adjusted our start time so we'd have smoother water, which made the ride so much more enjoyable. Pier the skipper, provided us with a comfortable and informative boat tour around the beautiful areas in Lake Como. His vast knowledge of the area and history was based on his family history of more than 5 generations in the Bellagio region. He also provided us with some of the finest Italian prosecco and bakery treats! I highly recommend his tour!

We did a 2 hour tour on Lake Como with Pier and it was magical. He left from a small dock on the quiet side of Bellagio. His directions were perfect and the boarding / disembarkation were smooth. There were four of us on board (two couples) but I'd say there was room for 4-6 more easily. At around 500 Euro, I found the price comparable to other private tours. His skills as a guide can’t be beat. His family has been local fishermen for almost a century and he knows everything about the area and tells the stories well. We saw fabulous villas and heard all the back stories, swam in calm waters by the island, and toasted with Prosecco. And he was just a charming and friendly host. Spoke excellent English with a lovely Italian accent. It was a highlight of the trip.
Taking a private boat tour with Ermes Boat Tours was one of the highlights of our honeymoon to Bellagio, Italy. Pier is an incredible captain. Highly recommend this experience. It was the most beautiful morning spent on the lake. Pier was a fantastic guide. His communication from the start was great, meeting point instructions were clear and he even accommodated a slightly different time to maximise on the good weather. My wife and I took the longer tour with Pier and loved every minute of it. Because he grew up in Bellagio fishing with his grandfather, he knows the history behind all the local villas. We cruised both sides of the peninsula, heard great stories about the area, and even got some solid recommendations for food and activities. We also stopped between the mainland and the island at Ossuccio for a quick swim and a bottle of prosecco. The boat itself was clean, spacious, and had plenty of power to easily navigate the lake (Lake Como has a top speed of 50kph). Overall, we highly recommend Ermes (A boy and his boat) and Piercarlo if you want to explore Bellagio by water!

Pier was amazing! This boat tour was the highlight of our short stay in Bellagio. He is 5th generation to Bellagio and has always called this home! Because he is local, he is very knowledgable about the area and has great stories about the villas we saw and the towns themselves. I cannot recommend this tour more! We booked a private boat tour on Lake Como while visiting for our honeymoon. Our guide was incredible! Born & raised in Bellagio he showed us the beauty of the lake while on his beautiful boat. Would 10/10 recommend booking with him while you’re visiting! He took photos for us, we were able to go for a quick swim, and also included some prosecco!

The captain of the boat Piercarlo is a very friendly young man who showed and told us a lot of interesting things about the Lake Como. We had a very comfortable trip around the lake with family. Children liked the tour too.
A wonderful boat tour around the lake. He was punctual and very informative. Took us to a great swimming spot, rode by villa balbianello, and some other beautiful spots. Time well spent in Bellagio. We debated renting our own boat, but taking the private tour was much better for relaxing and sitting back enjoying the lake.
