From start to finish our guide ( Giuseppina) was very informative and had a good sense of humour.She took great care of the group. All the places we saw were very much worth a visit. We didn’t spend a long time in Milan so this was our only excursion but we couldn’t have chosen a better one.
Our guide was attentive, humorous and try to make the trip a memorable one. She recommended places for lunch, shop and bathrooms. The cruise around lake Como was breathtaking and we enjoyed the day.
It was very good even though is was rainy all day, we still saw everything and passing the borders was flawless. Joe, the tour guide was very good and instructions were very clear.

Another excellent trip with Viator. Meeting place was easy to get to and staff were there an hour before the tour start time to greet us and recommend a coffee shop whilst waiting. The tour guide was clear and helpful and the ear piece meant that we could clearly hear the guide when required. Plenty of free time for the stop offs -not too long or too short. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour! We enjoyed every minute. Our guide Amato very clearly communicated important information and with humor. His commentary was detailed and very interesting. Amato offered plenty of suggestions for things to see and do in our free time as well. He is very knowledgeable. Our driver Eduardo was wonderful as well. He navigated us to where we needed to be on time! We appreciated his skillful driving through the crazy city traffic and on the curving roads of our trip! Take this trip, it was awesome!

The tour was great. We had wnough time in Bellagio to eat lunch and shop. Our guide Amato was very friendly and informative. The driver Eduardo drove amazing through the small roads. Would recommend this tour.

The lady who was our tour guide was very calm and nice and well spoken. So as the driver Piotr. Was a nice trip but wish could see more of Lugano even we had 1.5 hour didn’t find anything nice there apart from shops

This was a convenient and effective way to see the region. Our guide, Amato, and bus driver, Pietro were excellent. Amato was informative, helpful and we loved his sense of humor. Bus was very comfortable. We went in late Oct. so not many tourists.
Sara was an absolute legend! She was great at keeping a 3 hour tour engaged. I do recommend not booking on a Sunday if you would like to have more shops open in Switzerland area . But we still were able to get chocolates and small trinkets.

This is an excellent opportunity to visit the Lake regions from Milan in one day. Free time in Bellagio is a highlight of the trip. Boat trip in Lake Como gave a good overview of the area. Opportunity to cross into Switzerland was also nice. Lugano is a beautiful little town. Guide's English could have been better. She was difficult to understand at times and struggled with some words but overall was pleasant and fairly knowledgeable. Would recommend trying to find better places for bathroom breaks. The first place we stopped had one toilet for the whole bus. Trip was well organized and everything was on time.
The weather made for a cold/hard to enjoy day, but our tour guide was amazing on all fronts!! Amato made for a remarkable day trip guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable (a must for his industry), but also very witty and kind. He went above and beyond making sure we had the best possible experiences in both Bellagio and Lugano. When we shared that we would be going on into Switzerland from Lugano, he was very thorough in not only telling us, but also showing us the easiest way to get the train station (saved us at least 200 stairs and hurt backs) !!!! Highly recommend him!

Taking an organised tour from Milan is an excellent way to explore Lake Como and the other two villages without the stress of planning everything yourself. It saves a significant amount of time and allows you to make the most of your day. The private boat ride on Lake Como was particularly worthwhile, as public transport can involve long waiting times. We also loved learning about the beautiful historic villas and mansions along the lake, with the guide sharing interesting insights about their history. Unfortunately the trip to lake Como there was a few accidents on the winding road to Lake Como. So our water experience was cut by a few hours. But yes would highly recommend this tour.

This was a wonderful experience! From the instructions, to the check in! The tour guide Amari was fantastic! His knowledge was thoughtful and his sense of humor delightful. Eduardo the driver was impressive; he managed to take all of turns without concern. The price was well worth the day’s adventure!

Obviously, the destinations on this tour are phenomenal and gorgous - it almost goes without saying. But I have 2 critiques based on our experience: - The guide we had left a lot to be desired. I won't mention her name here but she spoke too close to the microphone so it was hard to hear on the headsets. She had a very monotone voice and zero enthusiasm. The first 15 minutes was standing at the meeting point, with the guide explaining where all the bathrooms were going to be throughout the day at each stop (no one remembered at the stops anyways). I honestly can't tell you anything about the buildings we saw, how old anything was, or any history about these places - the guide was just so uninteresting. - There wasn't enough time in Lugano - I think we got 45 minutes. There's a cool funicular to go up the mountain for an amazing view, but once we got up there, we barely had enough time to order coffee at the cafe before we had to run back to the bus. However, it's still probably the best organized day trip from Milan. Being on the bus was easy, the boat and scenery were beautiful and enjoyable.
This was a great excursion with the perfect balance between free time and directed time. I loved every minute of Lake Como and really enjoyed time for a leisurely lunch in Bellagio at Suisse Restaurant. Visiting Lugano was special where I had time to visit the park and enjoy gelato and a delicious Nutella crepe. Also picked up some delicious chocolates to take home from Vittoria Vanini chocolatier.
The places we visited were beautiful. The tour company City Wonders however was unorganized, instruction's were inconsistent and tour guide was hard to understand and audio system wasn't working properly. Also tour information said duration 10.5 hours while ours only lasted 9.5 hours including a 45 minute delay because the bus was involved in an accident. The guide said it wouldn't affect our tour time but it in fact it did because our actual tour only lasted 8 hours and 45 minutes. Well under what was expected! During the tour the guide was overwhelmed, this was not a small group but a full coach bus approx 75 people. At each stop she did not return till the exact time she told us to return. In my opinion the guide should be there earlier than passengers to keep things organized and answer any questions customers might have. I emailed the company days earlier asking if we could leave jackets and belongings on the bus in between stops and they said no to prepare to carry things which was not true on the tour we were told we could so I needless brought extra backpack for no reason. Very unhappy with tour company and will not use City Wonders or Viator for booking in the future.
It was very hard to understand the guide. She spoke very broken English and that combined with the sound devices made it really hard to understand. On the boat ride, the PA system speaker was in the front of the boat but for those of us in the back it was difficult to hear.
The guide was fantastic, shout out to Amato. The day was structured well. The only issue was the bus was bad, old and half the seats were torn, handles broken. City Wonders needs to update the fleet
A full day was a lot of fun. We went to lake Como and lake Lugano they were beautiful. Then we went into Switzerland.
Great experience sadly overcast and some rain but that’s obviously not the tour operators doing lol. The tour is well organised with plenty of time to look around. Mara was a great guide and very helpful.
I met the tour guides at Garilbaldi station at 8am and got on a bus to Lake Como - the tour guide was really fantastic - she was a great storyteller, excellent English and so kind with impressive insights and then also hilarious opinions about Lake Como - she could name the value of many properties and who owned them - obviously George Clooney's villa was a particulatr highlight but she spoke of his dedication to the area and his love for Como so not just looking at his house but also hearing about his life there. The drive was easy and we got on a nice boat with a sheltered glass area and an outside space. We were a big group but the boat felt roomy. Views were nice - the villages and towns hugging lake Como are pitcturesque - then we moved onto Bellagio and were allowed to explore on our own to grab lunch, shop, get coffee and gelato and visit the local churches. This is the pearl of the lake and is centred at the meeting of the 3 legs of Como. Next we retruned to the bus and drove to Lugano to buy chocolates, walk around a Swiss town and visit a Bernini fresco. Drive home also very nice. A long day but you are sitting for most of it. I enjoyed it but not for the action/thrill seekers - more a relaxed tour of the region with a wonderful host.
I had an amazing experience on this tour visiting Lake Como, Bellagio, and Lugano, Switzerland! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and each destination offered something special. It’s my first time doing this type of trip with a group and tour guide and wasn’t sure if it’s for me especially for the time advertised. It was wonderful and our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made the entire experience enjoyable from beginning to end. It’s actually less than 10.5 hours and the time was just right. Everything was well organized, and it was a wonderful way to explore these beautiful destinations in one day. I truly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Milan. If you’re looking for a memorable day trip with beautiful views and great experiences, this tour is definitely worth it!
Exceptional tour. Bus and boat drivers were top notch, felt very safe. Tour guide was excellent, she had a great personality and tone throughout the excursion. Timing for each spot was perfect. Best part of our vacation, truly highly recommend.
Don't think you have to eat at the first stop. There is plenty of delicious food at all of the places. Also, make sure you interact with the local proprietors, they are lovely and want to help you.
