Clicking between the written or verbal information and the maps ran phone battery out. support by owner on what’s app was good until battery was dead. Unable to finish the walk. Overall decent concept. Could be more clear that didn’t need ticket or check in. Wasted a lot of time figuring it out

Itinerary
An extraordinary example of Romanesque military architecture, Porta Torre is what remains-or rather, what is most visible-of the ancient defensive walls that surrounded the city of Como.
On the site of the Roman Forum, until the 1800s it was the market square, the commercial center of the city, of which it was also, in the early medieval and communal period, one of the religious fulcrums. We'll get to know about the "Dragon Portal"
Nearly four hundred years were spent by Como workers in the construction of the cathedral, begun in 1396, whose façade is still one of the most remarkable examples of late Gothic in northern Italy.
Piazza Cavour is the beating heart of the city of Como: a synergistic point of exchange, meeting and sociability. From the large square, embraced by the many period and historically significant buildings such as hotels, banks, stores, bars and restaurants, it is possible to admire the incredible landscape overlooking Lake Como.
Located on the shores of the lake, the temple is dedicated to the genius of Alessandro Volta, a native of Como. It was built in neoclassical style to celebrate the centenary of the illustrious citizen’s death. We will talk about his story too! Ticket to enter into the temple is not included (5€)
Just 900 meters away from the Monumento dei Caduti, Villa Olmo is another must-see on a Lake Como vacation. Aesthetically, this 18th-century mansion is in keeping with the style of the other villas found in Como, Cernobbio, Bellagio, etc.
If you have some energy (and time) I really recommend you to visit Brunate: a small village with a really cool view on the lake. Ticket not included (6,60€)
Since 1927 this 29-meter tower has towered over Lake Como. Built for the centenary of Alessandro Volta, it lights up from dusk to dawn with green, white and red lights: the Italian Flag!

This is great way to see Como, all the main sites included. It was well written script, easy to activate on your mobile phone, we used both, spoken and written versions.
It was great having the power of the tour in your hands! I enjoyed the history and the direction were easy to follow
Perfect self guided overview of Como! Great way to get a basic understanding of the top sight in the city.
Walking Cap's audio walking tour is a great value and an easy way to see and learn about the highlights in Como. It is a web app, well-organized with a clear table of contents and overview. We had no technical difficulties at all--the instructions were clear and the guide was generally easy to follow. There were plenty of interesting historical details in the tour that we wouldn't have known from just walking around on our own. The audio portion is a computer-synthesized voice that reads the same text that's in the app--we found it somewhat robotic and less pleasant to listen to than a recording of a human voice would have been, but on the other hand, not having to download huge audio files makes the web app load much more quickly. (Hint: if you're doing the tour with one other person, bring two sets of earbuds and pair both sets with your phone; it's much easier to listen that way than using your phone's speaker on a noisy street.) The audio stream would also get interrupted if we left the web app on either phone--for example, to take a photo--which was a little annoying. There were a couple of "side destinations" where the text had you "click here" to get to--so they didn't have Google Maps walking directions to find them like the main destinations did, which made using those a little awkward, but manageable. But overall, this tour is an incredible value for the price, far less expensive than an in-person tour, while covering basically the same sights.
This guide had good information about points of interest in Como, organised in a fairly good way to allow you to spend an afternoon or morning seeing them. I didn’t really get why it started at the train station, as the history and background could’ve been delivered anywhere. But I saw things I would not have without it, and found it a helpful way to explore. Como was very beautiful in the autumn, and I’d highly recommend a visit.
The link that was sent didn’t work. He resent the link but still didn’t work. I notified him and didn’t get a response I should get a refund
You get a link to an app which guides you from site to site via google maps and you press the audio tour once there. It works well and you can stop to eat, shop, or chill, or skip and go out of order. Flexible app to utilize at your own pace and you can ditch the expens tour guides. I can't wait to use it in other cities!
Love the tour at your own pace tours. Matteo does outstanding job giving history lesson and recommendations for meals and other sites to explore beyond the tour sites. The one thing in today’s tour, our party could not find that darn frog at the Duomo, lol. Other than that everything thing went really smooth. Thank you Matteo.
The audio tour is a link to an easy to use phone app. You can listen through your phone or your own earbuds. There is a GPS link that directs you from one site to the next. You can pause it to eat, shop, or skip around at your own pace. It's an informative and flexible way to see Como without paying an expensive tour guide. Looking forward to using it again for other cities!
I could never find the download to listen following instructions. They said to find it through email or Viator and I could not.
Unfortunately the weather was poor but the walking app was excellent. Easy to use and informative. There is actually not a lot to see in Como but the app guided us around all the places of interest whilst on a pleasant walk. I would certainly use this again in another City
I was looking for a free walking tour in Como but couldn’t find one, so I tried this option and it was really, really good. The guide is easy to understand and use, and it’s great that you can visit each place at any time you want. It made it very easy to explore the city, and I would definitely recommend it. As a suggestion, it would be nice to have more recommendations for affordable places to eat. I really enjoy my day in Como thanks to this experience.
Very well organized and easy to use. Como is beautiful and this guide helped us gain a better appreciation for it! My wife and I loved exploring everything that makes Como special at our own pace.
My husband and I decided to take the ferry to Como for the day, knowing nothing about the city. We loved the walking tour guide that moved us through the historical part with walking commentary. We are so glad that we did it - so worth the money!
Excellent value, you would miss a lot out if you didn’t take the tour. Great views and informative. Highly recommended.
A simple and easy to use introductory guide to Lake Como. It allows travellers to simply get their bearings and an overview of Como. Both written and audio guides allow flexibility for a diversity of users. The added bonus of a local’s personal insights adds clarity and authenticity. Highly recommend.
Simple to use. A clear, useful and quite sufficient tour to get to know Como. Great suggestion for food. You must come and enjoy the beauty of this town with charm and soul!
The self guided tour was very useful especially with family, you could stop and start at your own leisure. Very well informed information to either read or listen to. Would I recommend……YES
I purchased this tour because I wasn’t sure at what time we would get to Como (so couldn’t book a guide) but still wanted to hear the history of this beautiful city. This tour was a great find! First, I was contacted by Matteo who helped me navigate the download (it was very easy) then when we got to Como, we just started the tour based on his recommended first step. It was extremely easy to use and very informative (but not long and boring) with a lot of added stories and information. I was a bit skeptical at first but it was perfect. I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting the ease and convenience of going at your own pace (we stopped for lunch and restarted afterwards) and wants to hear the history as well as fun facts about Como.
Interesting and accessible tour. It covered the main areas in Como with some fascinating curiosities thrown in. We followed the main bit through the town, then out to Villa Orla and then to the funicular. It took most of the day to do everything and guarantees that you'll see and learn about the town
Really interesting and great value. Easy to use and to replay if necessary Learnt a lot about Como’s history
Very comfortable and functional driving. Pleasant to tour the city freely with directions , precise and interesting information .
Very exciting and detailed information! But if you want to take it easier, you are somewhat overwhelmed by this abundance.
Very well-developed city tour and a great advantage that you can explore the city at your own pace. The site is pretty self-explanatory and has always worked. Only the first opening of the link via the mail did not work so well. But right after contacting me via WhatsApp I got the link again and then everything worked out.
Unfortunately, it didn't work. We paid and couldn't use it. We were very disappointed! We saw very briefly how it should be, before and after we tried for a long time to log on to the website.
Fine and original walk through Como with clear explanation. The tour can be followed via your mobile phone and you can also follow the facts via text.
Impressionante! Deveria ter isso em todas as cidades. Vc faz no seu tempo, pega o caminho que quiser e ainda tem curiosidades! Sensacional.
We used the audio guide in Italian and Spanish for a friend, it was very well done and offered many useful ideas for the visit
I want to thank Matteo for his availability and for solving my doubts before starting the tour. This type of tour with audio and text, even if it does not involve a Guide in person, offers many advantages: you can go at your own pace, stop whenever you want to rest and, if something is not clear to you, you can listen to the information again, which is consistent and explained very well. Congratulations on the excellent work, it was a really pleasant experience.
A beautifully prepared guide that allows you to explore the most important places in Como at your own pace. Well put together, well presented, absolutely worth his money!
Explanation, map, text, highly recommended, a perfect way for those who have an interest in culture without being burdensome.
Excellent solution for visiting the city! The audio is very practical and allows you to get around the city without having to constantly look at the screen. The most convenient thing, however, is to follow the itinerary already done by someone more experienced in order to optimize time and enjoy the best of the city.
