Our driver will pick you up there in a green and white Volkswagen ID. Buzz van, which should be easy to recognize and enjoy our complimentary 5 minutes transfer to a charming hilltop restaurant with magnificent views over the lake and mountain. Our professional local chef will welcome you and teach you all the tips & tricks to turn you into a regular pasta aficionado. You will learn how to knead, roll and cut pasta into fettuccine and tagliatelle and prepare perfectly delicious local gnocchi. You will be guided through every step always using fresh, seasonal and healthy ingredients. We like “La Dolce Vita”… So enjoy the experience … There’s plenty of time to relax and to learn to cook and speak some Italian with our new local friends. My family and I had the best time doing this cooking class! This was a birthday gift for my mom and the entire staff made her feel special and celebrated. Chef was so kind and knowledgable. The food was excellent. One of our favorite meals in Bellagio! This class is well worth the money for the entire experience plus the incredible view.

Don’t book through a third party. We had a wonderful time with another couple. At the end of the night I found out they literally paid half of what I did. Lesson learned.
Chef Max was amazing! This is a MUST DO experience!! We made two types of pasta and Tiramisu dessert. After cooking we were able to have wine and enjoy company while Chef Max prepared appetizers, the pasta we made and dessert. The views were amazing as well!
During a father-and-son cooking trip to Bellagio with my 24-year-old son, our “Cook with a View” class with Chef Massimo was unforgettable. Set at Il Perlo with panoramic views of Lake Como, the setting was beautiful. Chef Max’s warmth, humor, and expertise made learning to prepare fresh pasta, gnocchi, and tiramisu both fun and informative. After cooking, we enjoyed a five course meal including our dishes with exquisite sauces he prepared, plated to fine-dining perfection. It was the perfect blend of beautiful scenery, delicious food, and genuine Italian hospitality.
Amazing view, Max the chef was wonderful, the food was amazing, the three bottles of wine that went along with dinner. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Chef Max was incredible! He has been a master chef all over the world and is passionate about his cooking. We have taken numerous cooking classes all over the world and this was by far the best one. Not only was it hands on but Chef Max personally prepares your meal with the pasta/desert that you helped make. The location is also stunning and a shout out to the driver that shuttled us from our hotel in downtown Bellagio to the location of the class. We plan to return for another of Chef Max’s classes next year. Do not miss this one!
This was an exceptional experience that surpassed our expectations! So much fun, fabulous food and wine, we learned and laughed alot, the view was beautiful and chef Max was the best!! Would do it again tomorrow if we could!

Cook with a View certainly lived up to its name! The view from our restaurant was most likely the best view of Lake Como there was! Absolutely stunning! From there it only got better. Our new friends we made that joined us in our party were so much fun and yes... our Chef... spectacular! Starting off with creating potato gnocchi, to fresh pasta and then to tiramisu our expert chef helped us create the perfect Italian meal. The event culminated with our chef plating our creations complete with authentic sauces and a complimentary antipasta of cheese and Pastrami. Our tiramisu turned out as probably the best I've ever had! Kudos to our Chef and Cooking with a View...a wonderful time spent in Bellagio! Don't miss out on this experience!
This was by far the best cooking class we’ve ever taken and we do them everywhere we go. The chef was knowledgeable, friendly, and a joy to be with. The food was amazing. The view was breathtaking.
The class takes place in a hotel above Bellagio with beautiful views across the lake. Chef Massimo was very sweet and encouraging, emphasizing that the best food starts with the best ingredients. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

The restaurant has an Incredible view of the lake. The chef is knowledgeable and friendly. The cooking portion is just interactive enough that it doesn’t feel laborious. 10/10 recommend!
Book direct with hotel on line and save 50%!! Rediculous mark up on this event. We paid $316 with Viator and it is $160 thru hotel. Additionally they presented tickets to Villa Meltzi at 9:30 pm... It was closed! We were staying 20 mins away and leaving the next day so we could not use the tickets! The class was good for $160 but not $316.
My wife and I went to this class and had the best time! Chef Max was incredible, his passion for what he does is admirable, and his attention to detail is impeccable! In addition to a great teacher the views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking, one of the best views we had while in Lake Como. I would definitely recommend this class to couples or families looking for a unique experience with a great host!
This was great experience. The hotel that runs the class has an amazing view and the class itself had a polished feel to it. There was only my wife and I on our lesson (Tagliatelle, Gnocchi and Tiramisu), and then Chef Max cooked for us whilst we were there. It was a standout part of our trip and we would recommend Chef Max and the class! Only thing I would change is the ticket to Villa Melzi. We could only do the cooking class on our last night, which meant by the time we had our ticket, we couldn't visit (We had the PM class). Not a deal breaker as I still thought the class was fair value for money, but this could have been clearer.
Location was stunning. We were collected by our welcoming host in a green and white VW Buzz van. After a prosecco on a terrace with the best view of Lake Como we met our excellent co-chefs and Max our expert chef. We made 3 courses and had a perfect meal on the terrace to follow
One of the highlights of our time in Bellagio. Chef Massimo makes the class fun and easy. And the lunch he personally prepares after the class is nothing short of amazing. The class is locared at Il Perlo hotel and restaurant. The location has the most spectacular views of Bellagio and Lake Como. We loved the location and food so much we are already planning to return in a few days to dine there again. There is no way to overstate the beauty of this location. Absolutely the best views Bellagio has to offer.
Our family of four adults did a wonderful cooking class with another couple and chef Max at hotel Il Perlo in Bellagio. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to eat, drink, and experience making handmade gnocchi, fettuccine, and tiramisu! We had such a great time. It is one of the highlights of this trip for sure!!

This was a wonderful experience. Chef Max was personable, humorous, and such a great teacher. The cooking class was wonderful. Then Chef Max presented the pasta made in two incredible sauces. We learned so much from him and had a great time watching him and working along side of him in the kitchen. It was an amazing time. We’d rate this a a 11/10!

Chef Max was fun & entertaining! We learned a lot along the way. Was confused about the Villa Melzi tickets. It worked out for us to go the following day but I know others didn’t have that opportunity.
This was truly a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we met our chef and were offered a welcome drink while we took in the views (which are STUNNING). Afterwards we made gnocchi, fettuccini and tiramisu with our incredible chef Max. We lucked out by being the only 2 people in this class so we had a lot of one on one attention, but I think even with 6 people or so it would've been great. Max did most of the mixing of ingredients, but then he showed us how to roll out and cut the pastas. Once done with the prep, he went to start cooking the meals/sauces while we sat down for dinner. Make sure to come hungry, because it was A LOT of food! Each course came with a wine pairing. We started with antipasta, then the gnocchi, then the fettuccini, and lastly the tiramisu. Everything was delicious! I will say overall this is a much more relaxed pasta making class than I've done before, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The views were beautiful. However, they accidentally left one of my guests off the reservation and overbooked the class. The chef was late so we sat around for about an hour. At least we had the view! Food was good and class was fun but it was much more instructional than what we wanted
My daughter and I really enjoyed the class. There was a total of six of us and the chef was patient and explained every step of making the pasta and tiramisu. The meal we had after making everything was delicious and paired with wine. Unfortunately it was a very cloudy and rainy day however if it hadn’t been there would have a beautiful view. The restaurant was definitely high up in Bellagio. I would definitely take the class if I was at Lake Como again.
This experience was amazing and so much fun. The view is stunning. The food was absolutely delicious and the chef was so skilled and a great teacher. I’ve already recommended this experience to friends. You must do this five star experience.
Where to begin.. Directions to the van were easy to follow. The ride up the hill offered stunning views, but what came next was spectacular. It felt like something from the Sound of Music. Prosecco and that view! And then we met Chef Mas in his kitchen in the restaurant. He was very charming and patient as we each took turns first making gnocchi and then the pasta. I thought I knew how to make gnocchi, but even I learned some neat tricks! (Did you know how many times a good length of pasta is supposed to twirl on your fork?) The final recipe was Taramiso. Perfecto! But wait, there’s more! We sat down to the dinner we made as a team. Chef Mas was generous with tips on the sauces (no onion or garlic in the Ragu, and cook at least 4 hours). Wine was served with each course, and we were given printed recipes before we left. What a great day! Finishing touch wastickets to the Melzi Garden, which we visited another day.
The staff was very welcoming! Honestly the best view in Bellagio. The Chef was very nice and the resulting meal was excellent! Will definitely consider staying at this hotel next time!!
Was a top notch class. Best one we’ve done. We were lucky and were one-on-one with the chef. You not only learn how to make the recipes but they serve your food back to you in an elegant fashion with an incredible view of Lake Como and Bellagio. The location, the chef, and the atmosphere, a major highlight of our trip to Italy
Chef Alessandro taught us proper preparation of both potato gnocchi and dough for pasta. He also prepared my pasta meal gf due to allergy. Our group of 6 all participated in the preparation of the dinner. Even though we were not at Villa Melzi, our evening was fantastic. Highly recommend.

The setting is incredible- a lovely little hotel and restaurant perched above the lake. Very nice that they provided transportation up the hill. The meal was delicious and the wine pairings excellent. The only thing that would have made it better is if they had space for everyone to cook all at once rather than taking turns which made the cooking part a bit long and less interesting. Be sure to ask for the Villa Meltzi tickets- we forgot and didn’t get them.
The pictures do not do this place justice! The view alone is worth it but it was an amazing foodie experience as well. Chef was very kind and patient. We made gnocchi and fettuccine from scratch and also tiramisu! The meal was superb. There was complementary Prosecco and wine paired with a few courses! We also had gazpacho, a delicious salad! The chef prepared a yummy meat sauce to go with the fettuccine and a Gorgonzola and pistachio sauce with the gnocchi! The views from Il Perlo were too beautiful for words. My best meal and experience by far in the lake area and we have done our fair share of fine dining in this region. This would be very romantic for couples!

A hidden gem above the famous town of Bellagio! Joy picked us up from the city center and took us to the most gorgeous villa overlooking the entirety of lake Como! Chef Max was incredibly charming and it was obvious he is a master of his craft! Together we made gnocchi, tagliatelle, and tiramisu!!! We will never forget learning to cook during our stay in lake Como. Then, the meal was prepared for us while we enjoyed wine. It was absolutely delicious and even more satisfying we made the pasta and tiramisu! Absolutely would 10/10 recommend!!! Joy took us back to the city center after and we took the ferry to cadenabbia and free shuttle back to our hotel in Menaggio- which was surprisingly very easy! 5 star experience!!!
A absolutely fantastic experience for our group (ourselves two sons in 20s and in-laws). Very welcoming staff and chef in an outstanding location with unrivalled views of lake Como. We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking, guided by chef, followed by a relaxing meal and drinks before being delivered back to central Bellagio. Highly recommended
