We booked the tour with giovanni as a gift for the bachelorette of two of our girlfriends. Unfortunately it was quite disappointing in many points. It started with him asking to postpone the tour from 2pm to another time several times. At least he accepted that we couldnt change the time but it was stressing us out during the holiday. We booked for 1300 Euros/4h and it said it included water, snacks/lunch and prosecco. The only thing he offered us was prosecco. No snacks and NOT EVEN WATER for a trip half a day! That was unbelievable. We asked him why he didnt offer us any water or snacks. He just answered that the offer is outdated on viator. So we had to take a stop with the boat to get water and snack on our own and pay extra. It is a question of politness and good service to offer water and little snacks like fruits or cheese. And not a question of money! Also it is not our fault if he didnt update his own offer on viator. Thats his responsibility. When we used the toilettes on the boat we saw several soft drinks. So it was clear that he didnt want to offer us any. He wasnt nice at all. He seemed stressed and didnt even ask what our preferences were for the boattrip. It was not easy communicating with him. Only positive thing was the beauty of the boat, it was big enough for our large group and very clean. Also lake comos beauty was outstanding. Also the price was quite ok for 4h compared to other offers. We would not book again with him and i cant understand the positive reviews or misleading offer and pictures with snacks f.e.

We will start our tour from the floating dock of Sant'Agostino
As soon as we leave the port, we will be able to admire Life Electric, the sculpture by starchitect Daniel Libeskind.
We will continue north on the west coast until we arrive at Villa Olmo, a historic neoclassical residence located at the end of the lake promenade of the villas of Borgo Vico, surrounded by a large Italian garden.
We will then reach Cernobbio from where it will be possible to admire Villa Erba, which was the home of Luchino Visconti and is currently used, together with its exhibition centre, for trade fairs, concerts and events.
We will then pass by the shore of Cernobbio to reach Villa d'Este, a luxurious 5-star luxury hotel, home to the "Concorso d'Eleganza" and the Ambrosetti forum, among others.
We will arrive in Moltrasio, home of the villa le Cassinelle, the home of Gianni Versace on Lake Como
After passing the village of Carate Urio we will reach Laglio where we will admire Villa Oleandra, home of George Clooney.
We will continue towards the Comacina island, the only island of Lake Como, where it will also be possible to swim.
We will go up to the villa of Balbianello and we will coast along the gulf of Venus.
We will admire the villa of Balbiano and Lenno with its adorable gulf of Venus
We will meet Tremezzo on the western shore of the Como branch of the lake where we will be able to appreciate the magnificent grand hotel and villa Carlotta..
From Lenno we will cross the lake reaching the magnificent Villa Melzi in Bellagio where Napoleon Bonaparte also lived. Skirting its gardens we will reach the square of Bellagio, passing it we will gain the tip where the lake divides into two branches called the tip spartivento.
We will then reach the tip entering the Lecco branch where we will be able to consume our aperitif and swim in one of the cleanest and most suggestive points of the lake.
We will continue sailing in the direction of Varenna, one of the most beautiful and characteristic villages of the lake that we will be able to admire while sailing along the coast.
We set off again for Como descending on the east coast passing through Lezzeno, in the direction of Nesso.
Returning along the coast we will reach the Orrido di Nesso and the Roman bridge of the Civera, famous all over the world from which it will be possible to dive for crazy photos on your social networks
Continuing along the coast we will reach the Villa Pliniana Where the legends of ghosts hover, then we coast by visiting the Grand Hotel "Il Sereno" Recently renovated by the Victoria Secret Saint Bart group.
We will then pass through the Mandarin Oriental and Villa Troubetzkoy finally returning to Como for the dropoff.

We had the best day on our private tour! Giovanni was wonderful and his boat is beautiful, so spacious and comfortable for 8 of us. We listened to music and drank Prosecco while admiring the villas, stopped to tour towns, and took a swim. What more could you want in Lake Como! Thank you Giovanni!
I must say it's been a beautiful day, thanks to the warm weather and the quiet pace of the tour - all day long for me and my family. Giovanni showed us the nicest spots on the lake, together with a little bit of explanations about the history of the villages and the villas on the lake. We stopped a couple of times to swim nearby Isola di Tremezzo and Bellagio, where the water is calm and transparent.. Giovanni knows lake Como as a fish would do..! His boat is super comfortable. The Boston Whaler is made for open water so it's super balanced on the lake. We enjoyed an aperitivo at sunset between Torno and Faggeto: this location is the golden-hour must: the sky looks on fire! I definitely recommend Giovanni! Tip: ask him for a custom tour, he will prepare a tailor-made proposal for you..
Spent two days on the lake and had the best time! I hire boats all over the world through work, so I know your experience can vary depending on the captain. Giovanni was so accommodating and fun to be on the lake with us! Also very helpful to have the knowledge of all the best places to go see and swim. If you are reading this, book it! highly recommend.
I have been coming to Lake Como every summer for years, my favorite thing to do is to spend as much time on the lake as possible! This summer I spent 2 full days on Captain Giovanni’s boat with 4 friends. Captain Giovanni made our days on the lake better than all the summers before because it felt like I was there with a good friend and not someone I hired to sail us around. He knew exactly the best spots to stop and swim, where to drop us for lunch and was always there on time. The boat is the perfect size and speed for Lake Como and I will be on it again next summer for sure !! Can not recommend enough and so thrilled to have found them !!!
Giovanni was a great captain. He was extremely communicative and provided our group of 10 friends an afternoon on the lake that we will not forget. His boat is beautiful, and it is the perfect size for larger groups as it is very easy to move around and not feel cramped. I would highly recommend! The 4 hours seems like a long time, but it flies by. You will not be disappointed!
