4-hour Shared Boat Tour With Landing In Bellagio And Varenna

No protection provided from cold autumnal wind even though it was sunny. Being buffeted by cold air as we sped along the lake diminished our enjoyment of the fine views. Guide/ driver provided minimal information about what we were seeing.

We (2 adults and a 12 year old girl) loved our boat trip on Lake Como. Dave, our Captain, was really nice and well informed. It was great seeing George Clooney’s villa and the beautiful islands of Varenna and Bellagio. The speedboat ride, zipping across the lake was lots of fun and the Prosecco at the end was a nice touch. We all had a great time and I would definitely recommend this trip.

Great excursion with “Dave”, informative & extremely helpful. Ran on schedule & very professional. He handled a very difficult passenger who was demanding that we stay ashore for longer despite ignoring the stated duration in the tour description that he was informed of prior to purchase & completely ignoring the other passengers requirements or timetables. Dave was very patient and accommodating in this situation.

Fabio made our experience one to remember! Bellagio and Varenna were lovely, and our Prosecco trip on the way back with info was really nice. We especially liked seeing George Clooney’s villa😇

We had an incredible time touring Lake Como. Captain Fabio was the perfect host and guide. We learned about the area, just and celebrities that stay in the area. The beauty of the area is almost indescribable. Pictures do not do it justice. The stops in Bellagio and Varenna were the perfect amount of time. Wonderful tour!

Highly recommend this tour - perfect for us as we only had one full day at the lake. Fabio was an excellent and highly entertaining guide with great taste in music which he played as we whizzed around the lake (worth being aware of if you were expecting a quiet trip!) We were lucky in every respect - weather and a very small group so it felt like a private tour. All in all, we had a perfect day!

Everything about this tour was perfect. Small group, comfortable transportation, charming driver/guide, and wonderful food and wine at both wineries visited. The first winery (Corbucci) we tasted at least 8 wines and the owner gave us a bottle of their Chianti to enjoy later. At 2nd winery our tastings were done outside overlooking the vineyard with explanations about the grapes used in various varieties and the vineyard plots used. The final wine was grown in a very small plot from vines about 125 years old—-incredible wine!

Overpriced for a basic taxi ride. The ferry would be a much cheaper option( about a fifth the price), and only belong allowed an hour at each of the 2 stops left barely enough time to walk through( quickly) each village let alone enjoy a meal with the views or shop a bit. They move people well but like an assembly line when loading and unloading, not for those with any mobility issues. A water or small glass of wine 5 minutes before finishing not much of an extra. 6 hours would have been okay as would have allowed 2 hours each at the 2 stops. Hard to recommend.

Great experience! Worth it! The man was very fun and nice and we had plenty of time to eat lunch and dessert , just note it’s a high speed boat so girls tie your hair lol

Trip was delayed by 2 hours and arrived late so affected plans for the rest of day , but was a fun time

We departed on a beautiful day, and mist from the bow spray was a welcome relief from the heat. All the beauty of Lake Como was shown to us from the unique perspective of the lake itself. The trip was from the southeastern tip of the lake with a brief stopover (Villa Pliniana but I think we docked in Torno) then to the town of Bellagio, near the lake's center. We saw islands and sprawling private villas that don't even appear on Google maps. Probably not a mistake! The best side of the villas and towns are from the lakeside, it's not possible to take enough pictures. This was the face of Italy to me. Bellagio was an experience, so much incredible architecture and hundreds of little shops. Our stop of an hour or so was just a sampling. If I'd had the time I would have returned by taxi and made of day of it. One thing all commercial water excursions, from rowboats to cruise liners, have in common is that your departure time is exact. If you miss it, there's no recourse. No credits, refunds, reschedules or compromises. Be on time lest your empty cabin or seat take the ride without you. I didn't make it, and could not have written this review but for ATL putting me on a boat the next day. My travel agent had to ask, maybe they had an surprise cancellation or some other unlikely though fortuitous coincidence. But although they run their operation very professionally and seem larger, ATL is a 3-person operation and had the flexibility to reschedule me this one time, which was pretty amazing by itself. Small is better! If you're looking for a boat tour of Lake Como and want to put the crowds far behind you, I highly recommend *Around the Lake*!

A bit chaotic to board. Took a lot longer then expected. We had to leave due to my wife being pregnant on a hot summer day and did not do the tour.

We had 12 people on the boat. There was enough room for everyone. It was an inflatable boat with two powerful engines on the back. The ride was a little rough and I would caution anyone who has back problems or neck problems. The guide was nice and very helpful..

This was brilliant! The rep was at the boarding point and was friendly and helpful. When our boat arrived we were called onto it and all went smoothly. An hours ride on the speed boat took us up the lake and we had 2 stops, both an hour each. Not enough time for lunch but plenty of time to look around, have a drink and ice cream. The driver of the boat seemed a nice guy and clearly knew what he was doing. A great way to see the lake and visit other places. We all enjoyed it and well worth the cost (which isn’t cheap) but definitely worth it. We all agreed it was the best part of our few days in Como.

At the reception which is out in the sun 36c, tour was postponed every half and hour. Total 2 hours and it is too late for our plan. We were forced to go under a strong wind condition which feel unsafe. Recommend not to take a risk with this operator.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Captain and guide was fun and knowledgeable, we left como on time and had a fun high speed journey to Bellagio where we had 1 hour to explore. Then a 5 min journey to Varenna where we spend another hour exploring. The trip back to Como was peppered with stops at interesting viewing points and even a procecco break. This was all backdropped with a great soundtrack and fun chat along the way. Plenty of space on the boat for all guests to relax in comfort, with sun shade at the rear.

They delayed the your by at least an he & did not use the viatour app to notify me. I waited in the rain for 45 minutes at the dock and the person from the your company was standing under the shelter of a nearby bar & didn’t even come across the street to tell me

This was just a boat ride on the lake. If you want a tour with history and information, this is not it. Our driver picked us up in an uncovered pontoon boat, smoked a cigar and played loud music as we cruised the lake and pointed out a few famous people’s homes. I expected more for the price tag we paid.

There was a good amount of time at each place. Great boat ride with a few stops at famous houses along the way.

It was a great way to see Bellagio AND check out interesting landmarks around the lake! The boat was incredibly clean. The staff was knowledgeable and communicative from start to finish.

11 people were crowded onto a water ski boat that should hold only eight comfortably. Captain was very nice

I thought that the boat ride was amazing, but I wish they had told us more about the history. Overall great experience.

The tour itself was good. We made a few stops along the way up to show this is the Versace mansion, the George Clooney mansion, the starwars house. The hour at bellagio was perfect. Came back and then made a few more stops on the way. I was a solo traveler and when no one else booked, they threatened to shorten the excursion to just one hour. Fortunately at the last moment some other guys booked so we did the tour as planned but considering I had booked weeks ago and was looking forward to going to bellagio by boat, I did not appreciate the threat of cancellation. I feel they should have integrity to do the trip no matter how many people sign up to go. I would recommend to book if you are a group of at least 3 people to be sure it will happen.

Lorenzo was a really great captain! It’s not a narrated tour, but he pointed out a few interesting sites along the way. It was very windy and chilly, but he had blankets for us!

The tour time was changed without enough notification time to make it to the new time. We got to place of tour and were told we missed the revised time and now would have to chooose a time much later.

An excellent tour! The scenery is stunning! Perhaps bring water and a sweater with you. Otherwise you don’t need a thing but your camera.

Fantastic boat trip led by Davide from “Around the lake”! Loved every moment. Steady driving, nice safe boat, good music which created a pleasant vibe and some guiding but not too much - perfect for us four adult friends. We booked a trip which was one hour boat ride, an hour in Belaggio and an hour back to Como. Would love to return and repeat!

Enough time for the tours, and Captain Fabio was a genius, he made stops for us at all the important estates, the music on the boat was great, and to finish we shared a good Prosecco that sealed the afternoon. HIGHLY recommended!!! Thanks Fabio!!!

Nice experience on Lake Como, the stops were beautiful with a time of 1 hour, sufficient but not exhaustive. Very friendly and helpful captain. Definitely 4 hours well spent.
