Zipline Adventure From La Romana

I would say that it was one of the best experience of my life and I will be back soon!

We were not allowed to book direct as a cruise ship passenger (NOT Carnival). This company are clearly making way too much money if they can afford to turn away business..! How dumb can you get..!

Myself and my teenage son 15 went on the Zipline adventure. From the collection at the hotel our tour guide Emilio was so professional and informative. We enjoyed the drive to the zipline in the wagon while Emilio talked to us all about life in the Dominican. We learnt so much. When we got to the zipline the guys kitted us out and briefed us about how to be safe. Again informative and funny guys. Our experience was SO much fun doing all 12 Ziplines - ****TIP - make sure you have insect repellent as we got a few bites.***** What a fun experience - After this we were taken for a talk about how coffee and cocoa is made which was so interesting. We got the chance to taste some local produce and also buy some too! We loved this trip - we’ve been on many before in different locations across the world but this has to be one of the best! Thank you to all the team for being so much fun, so interesting and just generally amazing! We will be back to do more with you! 1000/1000

My wife and I went on this excursion as part of a P&O Cruise. It is an incredible experience! The staff are really nice and friendly and provide a training session before the zip line tour commences. There are 12 platforms with zip lines ranging from 62m to 800m above the ground. There is a member of staff at each platform to ensure you arrive safely. Line 11 consists of two lines in parallel so you can ‘race’ against your partner. Staff take photos at the beginning and during the tour which you can purchase afterwards. Harnesses and helmets are safe and secure. It was an incredible experience, thanks also to Josef and Wendy for the coach trip to the zip line. It has been the highlight of our cruise so far.

My 70 year old mom went on the ziplines! She had a great time. The crew is the best out there. If you can get on Juniors team. He is full of information about the area. Has a sense of humor as well. 10 out of 10

All the assistants and your guide (Tusen was his name) for the zipline activity were very fun, courteous and respectful! The zipline itself had like 12 lines including 2 half a mile long stretches, that made for some adrenaline-rushing moments! My wife and I had a great time with this as part of our honeymoon!

GREAT FUN!! Suitable for both adults and families. Staff are great - professional and very safety conscious. 12 zip wires - the first 2-3 are more gentle to build your confidence before getting on to the bigger ones. Biggest is 800 metres long! Cannot recommend enough for a bit of adrenaline fun whilst in the Dominican Republic.

This was an amazing 1/2 day excursion. @Moises was a fantastic driver and was so adept at navigating the unregulated DR traffic. The staff at the zip lines were very kind and helpful. It was done safely and I didn't have any concerns. It was an absolute blast and I wish I could have done it three or four more times. Thank you to all the staff and especially @Moises.

We have been all around the Carribean and zip lined in lots of different places. I must say this zip line adventure has to be tops on our list. The guides were great and safety was a priority. All 12 lines were amazing and fast add that to the height off the rain forest and river made the adventure that much better. Lots of families were in our group all had a great time. A must do adventure.

Melvin was sensational!! The bus was a nice air conditioned tour bus. Melvin gave us lots of good information on our trip through the country and it made it a pretty quick trip. The guides are really friendly and help you get all set up. There is a sign saying a Max weight of 285 lbs. I do weigh about 50 lbs more than that and didn't have a problem. There are 12 ziplines that you go on. You do have the option to do the first few and then quit if you don't enjoy it as much as you thought. There is some platform hiking that you have to do. Once you get further along you can start to get a little worn down. There is a small gift shop with a few things that are a little overpriced. Try and get on the first zip line early. The line for the first line is really long while they get everyone going. Once you get going there's not really a line. Smaller children can do it but they might not be heavy enough to make it on some of the longer lines. Line #8 is extremely fast and #9 is very long. #11 you get to race someone which is really fun. The heights aren't bad and I'm afraid of falling. It's very green and lush and beautiful everywhere you look. They take your photo as you are finishing the second line. The pictures cost $10 a piece and are super worth it. You can rent a go pro from them and then can buy the sd card for $35. I wish I would have done that as it seemed worth it. There bathrooms are pretty outdated but functional. They also have locker rentals. Also don't forget a tip for your guides and your drivers. Definitely would recommend and do it again!

Me and my husband went on Carnival cruise last year in October and when we stopped in the Dominican Republic, we chose to do the extreme zipline adventure . We had a great and funny guide, Maximo and our driver Manuel. The zipline was great but wasn’t as fun as we had the first time..long time ago. I’m a person that likes adventure and I told my husband I would have preferred to see their beautiful beaches instead, like Saona. I saw my sister in law’s pictures and the beach was amazing, they got drinks and snacks and danced on the boat/beach.

This zip line adventure was as sensational as the bus tour guide and the staff! There were 12 runs that were exciting and fun! LOVE It!

Maximo & Manuel made the trip to the Zipline Adventure more interesting by sharing their experiences and history of La Romana after picking us up at the Cruise Terminal. All the guides at Runners Adventures were pleasant and helped everyone feel comfortable (especially on the higher platforms). This activity is fun for all ages.

This was one excursion you have to do. Simply put it was amazing. It was just me and my son (10 Years old) as my wife and heights do not get on. We were picked up by the guide Jnrico and the driver Jose Carrasco who were both so friendly and the drive to the place was very smooth and very informative as they explained about the culture and the different crops. The place is stunning with amazing views. The staff were very friendly at the place and we felt very very safe with both the equipment and the set up. The 12 zip lines were all different lengths and heights and we both absolutely loved it. If you go to Punta Cana you have to do this trip.

This was a wonderful excursion. We were picked up in a timely manner from our hotel with a nice driver and air conditioned van. We met up with 2 other groups to then all together head up the mountain. Our driver, Jose, was great the entire time and our guide, JN Rico, taught us about each of the different communities and about the Dominican culture during the entire ride up. He was very kind and knowledgeable! The zip lining itself was fantastic! Beautiful views, extremely kind instructors, overall great experience. Would highly recommend!

This is a MUST DO excursion! Double cables, felt safe the entire time, professional staff and beautiful landscape! What more could you ask for? Be sure to rent the GoPro, the video is amazing HD quality. The picture they take doesn’t always come out well, so be sure to spend the $30 to get all the footage!

We were staying at a resort in Punta Cana, they picked us up right on time, the transportation, the food, and the thrills were all they were advertised to be! Manuel was our guide and JP our instructor and they were great! Great explanations in English and Spanish! The Zip lines were great, and SAFE (Mom’s biggest concern)! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to see the beauty from the air! We also did the Jungle Buggies with these guys and they didn’t disappoint! 👍

As my wife had always wanted to do zip lining I looked over in uk and they had a few but for the three of us it was working out in excess of £350 then you had cost of travelling it was definitely a no go. We had a trip coming up going to Dominican Republic so I browsed the activities and found that Runners did a trip consisting of 12 zip wires over the jungle and along the river so I pre booked it on their web site and all it cost was 270 Dollars which included all transportations they also offer free cancellations with your total monies returned up to 24 hours prior to the activity. Well on the day the open back lorry picked up us from the hotel on time where we was transported a few miles down the road to change into their coach. The coach driver and rep were fantastic and the best part about it is they were communicating in English so we did not feel out of place upon arrival to the destination we were briefed about all the safety aspects and was even told that through the experience we could give up at any set stage which made me feel better because by now I had really bad butterflies. We was shown a dummy run with what to do during each separate wire then off we went guided by their fantastic group of guides well after the first 4 lines we were told the wires now were fast and believe me they were fantastic we was zipping high over the jungle and rivers at really fast pace came to the eleventh wire which was the longest and fastest and believe me it was fast the twelfth wire was a twin wire where you raced against your partners it was really great I can honestly say we enjoyed the experience and me and my wife are in our 60’s my daughter is 25 and she enjoyed it as well if you are ever in Dominican Republic you have got to do this adventure

Exciting lines, beautiful setting & scenery, experienced, professional guides, great facilities! Every member of our extended family of 16(ranging in age from 10 to 70! Including teens!) Loved this adventure! 45 min trip from Majestic Mirage but our tour guide, Jose Carassco, entertained us and informed us with fascinating facts about the country, culture, economy and people of the DR. Great added value, like a tour in itself!!! Special thanks to our (large) team of Zipline guides - so well-trained, professional & friendly (Aneurye, Brian, Wilkin,Octavia, Michael, Joan, Alex, Vladimir, and more), safe (double lines, good instruction) & clean/well organized! We will definitely be back!!!!

My group did the Safari and Zip lining. The safari was amazing! Patrice Jean aka PJ aka Pa-Pa was so personable, inviting, and funny. We rode through the forest, took a dip in a beautiful stream, and got the chance to sample and buy some of the best coffee, tea, and coconut oil in the world! After our safari we had lunch and it was amazing. After staying on a resort with mostly buffet style food it was nice to get a seasoned, authentic meal that was made with LOVE and all the right spices. After lunch we then suited up for zip lining. As a first timer I was nervous but the instructions and expectations given by the staff was very clear and helped ease my nerves. Zipping through the forest was invigorating and I was able to see some beautiful views of the forest. The zip lining excursion has 12 lines which you have to walk/hike to. The longest line requires a trek up a tall tower so I highly suggest wearing your most comfortable shoes and being prepared for a work out.

We took our 11 year old son and 77 year old mom - and both had no problems. Its a long, long ride from Bayahibe, but they picked us up from our hotel Iberostar on time. It was rainy most of the day but it wasn't a problem. The bumpy long ride (sit closer to the front for less bumps) was fine and they driver, Jovanni, stopped several places to make sure we took pictures of the jungle and the cool looking church thing in Higuey. We got to the zipline place and stood around for a while waiting for other groups to arrive. They do a short fitting and then a quickie demo. Most zipline places let you practice on a small line, but here they do a quick demo and then off you go! The first 5 lines are very easy and fairly slow and low to the ground (2 stories high). My 77 year old mom - who has no mobility issues - found it easy enough. It wasn't the "adrenaline" rush because most of the lines are low and slow. Not a lot of the guides speak English so there isn't much interaction other than the people you are with. That said, we've done a lof of zip lines. None seemed that fast and there was only one that had a "view". My mom tapped out after the 7th line because it was a little repetitive - the same lines, not higher, not faster. There is one tower that is pretty tall and takes a long time to walk up and so she just didn't want to do it anymore. She had a good enough time which is all that matters. If you have NEVER ziplined, this is a nice "starter" outfit. We are used to bigger/faster lines. Why the 5 stars? They have some lovely views, they are extremely safety conscious, and frankly they are all very friendly. Pictures are $10 each (and taken very early in the ziplines on line 2 so even if you tap out, you get a good picture). Wear good shoes because the paths, when wet, are extremely slick and we saw a LOT of people falling down on them. The jungle scenery is very pretty. The animals (they have cats in the main area) are pretty nice. $5 for a locker. Bring tip money for the driver which is SEPARATE from the money for the ziplines guides. They have clean bathrooms and lovely picnic tables. You get some pineapple as a "treat" at the end (bring a tip for that too...). They give you a bottle of water but they sell icecream and soda at the concession there. $5 for a bag of chips though. Would we do it again? No, we are used to more "extreme" adventure. BUt it was perfect for kids and senior citizens and those who have never tried to do it before. And for the pros, its still a pretty trip and a good FAMILY adventure. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are trying to do a "family" type trip!!

This is definitely worth the money. Very professional, efficient and friendly staff. Excellent instruction beforehand made the experience fun with breathtaking mountain scenery! We donated some Fox 40 Pealess Whistles and lanyards to replace their metal pea ones - hope it's helped improve communication from zip line tower to tower!

Started the day with two awesome guides. Tom Cruise and PJ....the ride was smooth and a ton of fun. After short instructions off we went. 12 lines, you can bail after 4 but I didn't. I had such a good time, I finished the entire course. If you are considering....hit the book button.

Great attraction! 12 zip lines. 18 platforms. Friendly and helpful. Lunch served. I hate heights, but did it anyway and I’m so glad that I did!

We had a blast at the zipline. 12 cables and 18 platforms. 2 of the lines are about a half mile long. This was a great time. We also did the buggies after w/ James and had a great time. There was a little cultural part about coffee and cocoa which was a lot of fun too.

My Fiance and I tried this excursion while we were in La Romana on the Carnival Horizon, and it was the best excursion during our whole trip!! Our driver Manuel, and tour guide Maximo were awesome!! The instructors were very helpful, informative, professional, and entertaining! We had an awesome time and would highly recommend this!!

Booked a half day zip line experience whilst on holiday and despite my reservations, as I'm usually scared of heights, I had a fantastic time with my family. The staff at the centre were very helpful and the fitting of the harnesses and the training session were done very professionally. The zip line route is designed to gradually build you up to the higher and longer lines and the staff at each station were very patient if, like me, you felt a bit scared. A very exhilarating experience enjoyed by all of us. All in all it was a great trip from start to finish. We were picked up at our hotel and our guide Maximo gave a very interesting and humorous brief history of the island and the area which made it an enjoyable journey. We would definitely recommend this and will go again if we return to DR.

We had a great tour with Tusew and Batista. Both the ride in an open jeep and the 12 different ziplines were endless fun. The tour guides were very attentive, punctual and could answer any question. A recommendation for anyone who wants to spice up their holiday with some thrills!:)

Um 7 Uhr sollte die Abholung vom Hotel sein. Kurz nach 7 schrieb unser Guide per WhatsApp, dass die Abholung erst 7:30 ist. Um 7:35 schrieb er, dass die tour heute für uns ausfällt und wir sie morgen machen können. Dass wir auch andere Pläne haben und unsere Urlaubszeit wertvoll ist, scheint dem Anbieter egal zu sein, von der Kurzfristigkeit der Absage mal angesehen. Nach solchen Startschwierigkeiten haben wir die tour für den nächsten Tag dankend abgelehnt. So sollte man nicht mit seiner Kundschaft umgehen und wir würden diese Tour aufgrund der Unzuverlässigkeit nicht weiter empfehlen.
