A great view of some pretty special landmarks, it's a decent amount of time travelling on the bus and boat but I personally think it's all part of the tour - seeing the countryside and everything in-between was one of my favourite parts of the tour. Albert was great and answered all the questions I had. I also found the boat and bus comfortable enough to catch up on some sleep on the way back. Note that these may not be private however I didn't find this to be an issue at all.

Make sure you have Visa documentation in order to make this day trip. My friend did not and was not allowed across the border and continue the tour. I was able to continue. The guide I had was fabulous and the experience was great on the tour, but, only one of us got that experience.
Our tour guide Fernando was very knowledgeable, and we enjoyed the tour, the sights, and the restaurant very much. Copacobana is full of shopping opportunities. We where surprised at the amount of stair climbing we had to do at the isla del sol. Not sure if I knew about this activity if I would have done it. The altitude and all the climbing up the hill in steep stairs was quite a challenge. So much, that I could not fully take in the beauty of the isla del sol because I had to catch my breath all the time.
It was a great experience! Our guide was very good and patient with us, gave a lot os details. Sailing at Titicaca Lake was wonderful! And the lunch was amazing!!! Just the travel to Copacabana is a little inconfotable because its far away from La Paz
We waited at the pick up location at the time specified in our confirmation email. Half an hour after this time we tried to contact the contact number provided but they never responded. We ended up waiting an hour before giving up. The wasted morning meant we were never able to visit Copacabana as all other companies had left by this time.
We loved our day tour in Copacabana! Pablo was a good tour guide and very knowledgeable! The driver was good as well, smooth drive from La Paz to Copacabana. Keep them, they are good for your company! Will definitely comeback for more tours!😍
Good Tour. However traffic out from La Paz is chaotic and hence make the time in Copabana and the Sun Island very limit. Making it a rush tour. The tour itself is very informative and our guide, Fernando, is very attentive, informative and we enjoyed our time with him sharing his knowledge of Bolivia with us. Looking back we should have stay for an extra day to explore.
A place full of islands and Incas ruins (badly kept) to visit and I just made a day (a few hours) trip from La Paz to Copacabana. Our private bilingual guide, Alvaro Monrroy was fantastic. Pity. Could have spent a night on the Island of the Sun or Moon. A few hours are not enough. It's a shame to see the fight that the tribes or villages are on the Island of the Sun. There are three. A tribe does not allow to pass from the south to the center and from the center to the north. Only the Inca ruins of the South can be visited. Freedom without wisdom is confusion and petty or stupid beings.
Not sure from which company we booked, but the trip from La Paz to copacabana and sun island is just to long. You Will spend at least 10 hours in the bus/boat for at most one hour on sun island and a very quick lunch in copacabana. If you want to go see it, stay in copacabana or sun island overnight.
We had an amazing time with Franklin on this tour. He was a lot of fun and kept us laughing from the minute we got on the tour! Very knowledgeable as well. Overall, the tour was excellent. The lake is beautiful and definitely worth the cost of the tour, especially since it is so cheap! The boat ride across the lake and island were beautiful. Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun day activity while in La Paz. Maya was great to work with when booking the trip as well. We are using HanaqPacha Travel to book a trip to the Salt Flats this coming weekend and another trip the weekend after!
Franklin was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable in all aspects of Lake Titicaca and Sun Island as he had visited the island on his own many times. He was kind, polite, and always went with the flow of our group. He made sure that we were having a great time and that we got to see everything that we wanted to see. This trip would not have been as fun with any other tour guide.

We were the only 2 of us taking the tour and they did everything they could to make this an amazing trip. Our guide was amazing and he did everything to accommodate us in every way. Even when that meant helping us with hiring a taxi to go atop the mountain to take in the beautiful sight of the Copacabana harbor! Highly recommended!

Sun Island is a way more beautiful than I expected it to be. A real jewel. You feel like in the middle of the Adriatic sea in Croatia well, I am a Croatian!, not in the middle of the Titicaca lake tons of flowers, colors, Mediterranean-type flora, feels totally different than Altiplano vistas you get used to around La Paz. The trip by bus from La Paz was great the entrance to Copacabana spectacular, and a lunch in local restaurant with a view of the lake and a taste of sopa chairo and a trout just excellent. Our guide was excellent Mr. Rivera, and as there were only two of us with him - we had actually a private tour. Highly recommended trip.

The hotel pick up was quite on time. The lunch was great in a nice place. The guide - Marcelo is great, very knowledge and polite. The only missing point regard information about the tour refers to the transportation. It was quite awkward because the bus stopped at the bus station and picked up people, besides the hotel pick up and almost none of them were at the tour. everything went very well.
Third time in Copacabana, we couldn't be so stupid. very important Salespeople or anyone can always come and start a chat. We left the tarp and a backpack with a cell phone, money, cards BEHIND us and the one who was giving us a talk. When we realized it, it was obviously late. The advice is, ALWAYS BELONGINGS in front of our eyes, and we even chat with Lula.
It is a must to visit Lake Titikaka and Isla del Sol, but it is important to know that it is a somewhat tiring trip to do in a single day, as it takes around 3 hours by bus to Copacabana and another 1h30 by boat to the island. In other words, you will be back in La Paz after 10pm. Anyway, it's all really beautiful. Bring a snack or fruit, as there are not many options open to buy something on the way back. It deserves a visit.
The Karina guide, excellent pending our well-being and entertainment. Full knowledge of the information of the place. Excellent logistics and organization met the offer
It's a heavy, very long journey. Most of it is only transport (coach and boat); we only had in total 2 hours of tourist route. Such a visit, from Peace, requires an overnight stay to be able to see more in detail the place. Worst of all was our guide, FERNANDO. Inside the bad, lousy! From a guide you expect me to report information about the place. The person who guided us had no knowledge of the place, either historical, geographical, or cultural... in reality, he only gave us conversation about politics, at the table (which he could have saved, especially when one defends a particular position). During the sightseeing tour, out of a dozen questions he answered only one. And it's not like the questions were scrutinized, not at all. To take one example, we asked what the surface of Lake Titicaca was. I had no idea. To highlight something about the trip, say that, the life of the journey are very welcoming.
On September 13th I made the day trip to Copacabana and Isla del Sol. It was a brief excursion, but very nice. Sun Island is a magical place, which I could only do in one day, but which I would have liked to do in two or three days. In addition I was lucky to have an excellent guide named Daniel Paredes, who in addition to making a super enjoyable and beautiful excursion, behaved at all times phenomenal, as well as helping me in other procedures that did not have to do with the excursion. Thank you very much, Daniel Paredes.
Together with a friend we met Copacabana, Lake Titicaca and Isla de La Luna, along with the Guia Daniel Valdivia, who in addition to show us the city and make the best trip with the best view on the island (different from other agencies and guides) helped us to get an excellent hotel with views of the beach for 50BOL per Cover since we wanted to spend the night in Copacabana. It was very worth paying for this agency, this guide knows a lot about the history of the place, very attentive and friendly.
But know that it's too tired, considering that it's 4:30 going and 4:30 back. Thus, it was possible to quickly get to know Copacabana and Isla del Sol. If you really want to see these places, reserve at least 2 days to go. As for the tour, the guide Álvaro was excellent! Always very attentive. I made other tours with this agency and they were amazing!! Excellent tours offered to know more of La Paz.
