This bike tour was truly fantastic! I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was challenging, fun and a little scary (a healthy fear…), considering it was my first time biking on this kind of terrain. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Even though we didn’t have the best weather, we still got to see some beautiful views. Santos and Victor were totally awesome guides. They were thorough when it came to explanations on how to ride the bikes, what to do and what not to do, serious about following the safety precautions, knowledgeable, fun, and super friendly. Juan-Carlos, the bus driver was excellent, very careful and considerate of his passengers. I definitely recommend this trip!

Highly recommend the tour with Vertigo Biking, especially with our guide Viktor, who was incredible. The death road experience is one of the best things I did during my travels. The organization was superb aaand we had super nice sandwiches and lunch during the day.

Tour was really well organised and victor the guide spoke excellent English and was in for a good joke. He made sure we felt safe and brought good snacks to make an unforgettable day. Only recommendation I could give is to improve the t-shirts they sell, they are not really inspiring so we bought the shirt somewhere else

Amazing guides! Very friendly and funny. Accommodating to allow you to go at your own pace down the trails, while still making sure everyone is safe. Lots of places to take great pictures!

Great service at a more than reasonable price. During the tour there were three guides with us at all times and they brought all the necessary equipment. Didn’t the tour the guide would give instructions constantly. On top of all that there were a snack and lunch included in the price.

this tour was incredible. If you're a bit brave, it's the perfect mix of breathtaking nature and views, combined with adrenaline. The weather gave us everything: from hail at three degrees to tropical sunshine at over 25 degrees. The route lived up to its name. In between we had a great lunch break with vegetarian options, snacks and a delicious dinner in a great and quiet place to relax with pool. Ask for Victor as a guide and you won't be disappointed. Definitely one of the highlights on our 5 week trip through South America

Victor did a fantastic job as our guide, starting with a great safety briefing and continuing to be supportive and funny through out. The bikes were in great shape and we would recommend definitely using bikes with double suspension (as Vertigo do)

We had a perfect day with the guide Julio, the photographer Marcos and the driver Vigo. Firstly we got at the starting point in La Paz and got our gear ready before going to the beginning on approximately 4600 meters and we began to go downwards from there to 1000 meters. In the meanwhile there was plenty of time for the overall view during the death road biking. It sounds scary to do the death road, but with the perfect guidance of the guides there was no time to be afraid at all. The snack was more like a lunch and we had a good lunch at the end of the day with a very nice swimming pool. We enjoyed the day and we could suggest everybody to book a trip at Vertigo Biking. The day was spectacular we had incredible views and weather. Santos our guide never rushed anyone and made us feel safe and well informed at all times. If you take your time and stay within your limits you will have an awesome and safe experience. A must do if you are in La Paz. PS: Don't book if you don't know how to ride a bike

It’s been two months and the awesome memories are soooo vivid in my mind! What an amazing, ride, experience and accomplishment! The tour crew were AMAZING! Safety was a top priority but some was making sure we had a great time. I would so do this again with this tour group!! Wishing them much success with more tours!!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Victor was very nice, we coudnt have better guide. He explained everything about the biking to ensure the safe ride, but he was also very communicative and fun. He told us many interesting facts about Bolivian life. We really enjoyed the day with him. Another perfect thing was that we were very small group which gave us opportunity to go by our own speed, make many pictures etc. The scenery is amazing. We can highly recommended this company, especially guide Victor.

Had a great day cycling on Death Road. Although it was extremely wet and foggy, our guide Frank 'The Tank' ensured the trip always felt safe by giving great safety advice and clear instructions. Was provided with a full suspension bike with responsive brakes.

Such a brilliant day out, would recommend if you are near La Paz as it's a different experience! Most of the cycle is downhill and the views are fantastic. Omar and co were great fun for the day (with really good English too), Omar was able to take photos of us cycling (while he also cycled) which were a lovely souvenir to get. Nice picnic included too. Thanks again to the organisers :)

Franco was an amazing guide with the best english we heard in our time in Bolivia. We were with only 4 people, while other companies take around 10. This wat you are way more flexible and can speed up a bit as well :) Food was the best en we felt completely save during the whole trip! Thanks Vertigo for the great day. Only note; it is a 3hour drive back from the swimmingpool location to La Paz & they didnt tell us, advice is to take something with you to keep you occupied;)

There were only two of us on the tour (due to cancellations etc), but we still went ahead. Federico was our very cheerful driver who took more risks driving on the road, than we did cycling. And Victor was our guide. He was very patient and explained every potential danger before we did it. Obviously an activity such as this always carries a degree of risk, but with Victor this risk was greatly mitigated. He was also a very friendly and knowledgeable chap, and his English was excellent. Can't recommend enough!

What a great day and a great experience! Thanks to Victor and Ricardo who made this a day to remember. Vertigo had no other guests and Theun eed a minimum of 3 (so do the other companies). We were only 2 but by paying just a little extra they offered us to make it a private tour. They only use bikes with double suspension and are a very safe bet. I definitely recommend this company

I had a great experience with Vertigo Biking at Death Road. Our guide (Victor) was very kind, spoke perfectly english and made a lot of pictures and videos. He always explained what to expect at the next section of the road. He really took good care of us! Afterwards we had a good lunch at a restaurant where we could also take a nice hot shower and jump into the pool if we wanted. Overall we had decent bikes, delicious food, a great guide and al lot of fun! I would definitly recommend this company.

I did this with 2 other solo travellers on 29 Sept with Victor and Hugo was our driver. The weather was very wet during the unpaved road section but Victor explained every section before we started. We had lots of breaks for photos and explanations. Our safety was a high priority for him and the bikes were in great condition , including the brakes! We were given protective helmet, elbow and knee guards and a coat and trousers suit to wear. The bus followed us the whole way so our stuff was safe and close by if needed. Later we had lunch and a rest at a lovely camping site with a swimming pool, hot showers and bar. Victor was very knowledgeable about biking and the area. His English was excellent. I would highly recommend this trip. It was good value for money too.

I did this trip with Vertigo -victor and Hugo- it was very well organised, bikes were high quality and we did it in sections with lots of photos. Victor told us what each section would be like and what to watch out for.

A lot of fun - Will was an excellent guide. We did a brief safety introduction and check of the MTBs then headed down Death Road. Along the way we stopped for photos at some key spots and he explained history of the road and pachamama. Once arriving at the bottom we went to a local hotel for lunch (included in price but not the beer) and a dip in the pool. Photos were sent by dropbox after and were excellent shots and videos. I would recommend doing Death Road, a must when in Bolivia!

Fantastic tour! Our guide, Will, was very careful and very interested in his job. Always giving safety advices, telling good stories about the road and kept everybody in a good mood. They took great pictures of us too. It all went perfect!

I booked this the night before. 2 persons and private tour. I got good information from Victor at vertigo biking. He sent a list of things to bring for the tour. If you stay in area of withes marked you have short distanse to vertigo bikings lokals. Where you Will try your safety equipment. We had Viktor leading the way and taking pictures and the minivan/car with our backpacks behind us. Always information bicykling step by step. In the start its cold at the top with the andes mountains. In the middle it gets warmer as you enter the amazon area. Lunch about in the middle of the route and dinner at the end of route. At a hotel. It was like having a cross bike at christmas when you'r young and just want to ride it on the rocky terrain. Safety and well worth the money.

The whole day was extremely well organised, the bikes were of great quality and our guide Victor was superb. Not once did we feel unsafe - Victor explained everything to us before we started, giving us some tips on what road positions to take and constantly kept us updated throughout on what to expect. The group was nice and small and we felt like we could go at our own pace all day. Thank you so much - a great experience!

What a fantastic, adrenaline filled day! I got picked up from my hostel and was given all the equipment needed. After a few kilometeres practice on the downhill asfalt it was time for death road. The instructors Will and Victor were very friendly, reassuring and provided all the advice needed to really enjoy the experience. After the high intensity mountain biking we we're brought to a Hostel for a swim and tasty lunch. I'd Strongly recommended going with this company

My friend and I had the best time cycling down death road. Our guide Victor was amazing and made us feel safe and comfortable. He made the trip for us. The views were amazing. A must do activity whilst visiting Bolivia.

This is something you cannot miss when in La Paz! This adrenalinic ride may seem difficult at the beginning if you're not into mountain biking, but during the trail you'll get more and more confident and, at the end, it will be definitely worthy. The guides were also amazing!

Choosing Vertigo Biking was the best decision. Easy communication with the company, great service and the best guide! I was excited for a downhill ride down the Death Road but also a bit nervous at the beginning. But Will, our bike guide, made this experience an unforgettable and enjoyable one. He’s a passionate and very experienced biker who well understands that safety comes first. Before starting the ride he gaves us all needed instructions and enough time to try the bikes. At the checkpoints he always first congratulated us for a completed section (whoop every completed section is a small victory!:) ) and then always explained us what to expect and be careful at the next section. With his explanations, guiding and good Vertigo equipment (bikes, helmets, clothes etc) I felt really safe and I could simply enjoy. Will speaks very well English, he makes sure everyone feels ok and safe, he’s fun and great company overall. And a good DJ to entertain you during the transport from and back to La Paz :) Soon after our biking trip we also received all the cool photos and videos that Will made on the Death Road. A precious souvenir. I highly recommend biking down the Death Road with Vertigo!

We went with Juan and Ricardo to the death road. It was amazing! We were a very small group and Juan rode along the whole time. Every section he would stop and explain us what to expect for the next section. I felt very safe and would recommend them to anyone!

We had the best Day ever! With Waldo on our side and Ricardo as our driver we did feel save the whole Day. We had a lot of fun and Waldo was just the kindest Person ever. Everyone was able to get down in there own speed which was very nice. Everything was so professional and we would recommend Vertigo all the time to everyone who wants to do this Tour! You won‘t regret it.

This tour exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide Juan and driver Ghichi (I hope I spelled their names right) were so welcoming, knowledgeable and hardworking. The gear was all provided and was high quality, comfortable, and they prioritized safety while still creating an exhilarating ride. Everything was perfectly planned and we had an amazing day. Juan even took photos and videos of our trip for us the entire way down. From packed snacks and a delicious buffet lunch, I don’t have a single complaint about this service. I HIGHLY recommend this company and I will be back to do it again when I am in Bolivia next :)

Had an amazing day with Vertigo tours. Our guide Waldo was very friendly and ensured we were safe at all times. We had full protective gear and full face helmets, we stopped several times to appreciate the views and take some photos. We had a brilliant driver Ricardo who accompanied us down the road. Plenty of snacks and drinks were provided and after the ride we stopped in a nice hotel with hot showers, a pool and a buffet lunch. Definately would reccomend this group! Best experience of my life!

Just wow! Communication and organization was outstanding. Safety was their priority, they explained us everything. Juan is a really nice guy, speaks perfect English and is very supportive. After the ride we went to the hotel with a pool in the jungle to relax a little bit. The food was also really great. We had a lot of fun, overall the whole tour was AMAZING!!! If I ever come to Bolivia again, I will definitely go again. Totally RECOMMEND !!! Thank you guys for an awesome day!
