We had a wonderful trip with Nagomi. We have some other trips during our visit to Japan. Nagomi is the best travel guide of them all. She is fantastic. She was so contentious and followed up on my late vegetarian lunch order. The result was the best Japanese vegetarian food I have ever had. This was a 10/10 trip for me.

This bus was much more comfortable than other tour busses we've had on our trip! It even had a bathroom and the AC was nice and comfortable. We booked the full day Nara Tour which took us to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nara Park, Todaji Temple, Byodo-in Temple, and a matcha experience. The amount of time at each location was perfect to see and experience enough of each place. Nothing felt stagnant. Ciel was wonderful and easy to understand. The information she gave on the bus was quite interesting, and her visual aids are very impressive! The crowds were a bit large at Todaji Temple, but otherwise the rest of the locations weren't very busy. Our tour group size was perfect (11 people). I would highly recommend this tour! Just be careful if you're brave enough to feed the deer! They'll headbutt and bite you (and get your clothes very dirty).

Very nice experience with Ciel, our guide for the tour ! She explained a lot about Japan, the japanese culture, some vocabular, the overall history of Japan with deep dives regarding the culture linked to the sites visited during the tour. She has been very friendly and open to all the group making sure that everyone was fine and everything was well explained and planned. I had only a few knoledge about tea and matcha and the tour helped me to learn more about the tea as a product, matcha and the harvest and production of it.

Ciel is an amazing guide. She kept us engaged, relating the Japanese culture all way. Telling us about common words used in Japan. Very energetic! Would love to take her as my guide wherever I go! Wonderful day spent.

So fun to see the deers at the park and visit a Shinto shrine. Half day experience is still super fun and full! Ciel is so bubbly and a joy to have as a guide. Totally recommend!!!

Our guide Atsuko san was absolutely lovely! Super informative, very kind and patient, and funny. She had fun facts for every leg of the trip to make it interesting. We asked her questions about the construction of the Giant Buddha in Nara and she showed us a diagram and explained the process in detail. The bus driver was also awesome and kept us safe! Thank you for the great experience.

At-Chan led a wonderful tour of Nara and Uji. The tour was well designed to see several sites efficiently. I was especially glad that At-Chan had so many teaching materials prepared to introduce us to language phrases and history of the sites we visited. She also gave us excellent tips for hand feeding the deer safely! Great experience. Arigato!

Beautiful trip and good food and matcha

Definitely recommend booking a guided tour to visit Nara and Uji. Husband & I booked the day before, and I felt it was very worth it. It was a great way to do a day trip where you don’t have to do any planning, since all the logistics are already covered like transport & lunch if you want. Den, our guide, was amazing! So friendly, fun, and informative, and we loved having her lead our group. It was nice to hear all the interesting history and facts & learn about the places we are going, without having to be bogged down by hunting for info myself, and they give you just the right amount of highlights and what felt like the right amount of time to explore all the pockets we visited at our own leisure before regrouping. Den even gave us some recommendations for other places to visit after our tour in Kyoto! 10/10 experience.

Excelent tour in Nara and Uji. It had everything: historical places (1000 year old temple!!), nature (Nara paek with lots and lots of friendly deers) and tradition (the best matcha tee ceremony). The guide, Den, explained everything to us, always with a smile! Loved every minute of it!

A very cool tour which took us to many historical monuments and each of them were described in detail. There were only six of us so we got a more personal experience as we walked around the villages.

On the more expensive side of what we wanted but we still believed the experience was worth it. Our guide Den was a ray of sunshine and very knowledgeable for the sites we saw. Den very clearly loves Kyoto and showing people why she likes it here so much. I think the tour was very well paced. Expectations set in the description of the tour were met. The most entertaining parts were feeding the deer in Nara and making the matcha in Uji.

The tour to Nara and Uji was great and Nagomi was a fantastic guide, full of energy and answers to all our questions.

Our Nara tour was comprehensive and enjoyable! Nagomi was very friendly and very welcoming. It was nice having a smaller tour group of 20. The lunch provided was tasty, and so was the Matcha tea! A great way to spend the day!

Sakura was a phenomenal tour guide for the day. She was so helpful, extremely friendly, and informative. We’ve had many tours at this point and she has been my favorite of the trip. My husband and I are here for our honeymoon and this experience is the highlight of the trip! The tour was fascinating being able to learn about the temples, shrines, and culture of Japan. By far my favorite experience in Kyoto. I heard multiple people throughout the trip mention how happy they were with their experience throughout the day . Our guide was Sakura and she hands down has been the best tour guide we’ve had. She had exceptional English skills, kept us entertained by teaching us Japanese (which was very handy), and kept us on track the entire day. The day was jam-packed with activities, and we didn’t overstay our welcome in any of the locations. My favorite part was feeding the deer in Nara and creating matcha in a restaurant with a world renowned award winning matcha chef. All of our fees were included in the ticket price, and the only thing we purchased were souvenirs and deer crackers. There were multiple families with us, so this experience can be had by anyone.
