Milo was a great guide! He was very engaging, talking, and sharing information about the area and culture to everyone on the tour. He seemed extremely knowledgeable, and our group particularly enjoyed the special photo spots and pictures he took for us. Thanks Milo! We had a wonderful time. Take care!

Nice experience with a super friendly Guide. Shows a little more then expected. Weather was not the best but the Guide makes it even better. Thanks!
Milo was a great guide for this early bird tour of Fushimi inari and Kiyomizu dera temple! We did a 3-3.5h tour, avoiding the visitor’s crowds, to enjoy these beautiful spots. Milo is a great and fun guide, with a vast knowledge of Kyoto area. The fee for Kiyomizu dera temple is already included in the tour. Absolutely recommended if you want to enjoy a chill and fun walk into that spots!
Milo was a terrific tour guide. My partner and I enjoyed all the knowledge and facts he shared about Kyoto, and Milo really took the time to take us through all the major sites and explain what each thing meant. The tour was thoughtfully planned, and he even took some awesome photos of us. He knew the best photo spots and was a great photographer which was a bonus lol! He was super down to earth, funny, and just a fun time to be around. He also gave us some recommendations to go to after which was so helpful for our trip. The tour really elevated the experience for us. I couldn’t recommend him enough! If you’re looking for a tour guide, look no further - Milo’s your guy!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the absolute pleasure of touring Kyoto with Milo, and he was nothing short of exceptional! From start to finish, Milo displayed the highest level of professionalism while keeping the experience warm and engaging. His knowledge of Japanese history, traditions, and culture was both impressive and easy to understand—he patiently answered every question and always made sure we were truly following along. What stood out most was his kindness and genuine passion for sharing Kyoto’s beauty. He was incredibly friendly and thoughtful, making us feel comfortable at every step of the journey. On top of that, Milo turned out to be a fantastic photographer—he captured beautiful shots of us at temples, gardens, and hidden gems that we’ll treasure forever. If you’re visiting Kyoto and want a guide who blends professionalism, cultural insight, patience, and a friendly spirit (plus doubles as your personal photographer!), Milo is the one to book. Highly recommend!
Milo was a great very great help to show us and teach us the curlture of every places we visited. He even gave some tips about other places we should visit on our own
We had a great guide Milo, very interesting explanations and offers to take photos of you at great places for as many beautiful memories as possible. I recommend.
This is by far the best Guide Tour we ever had!! Very knowledgeable, funny, attentive, Milo was excellent!! We highly recommend!!! We visited only two temples!! Imagine more than that!! Best ever!!!
.Kevin (Canadian) has been an excellent host. Friendly and able to bring us around in the quickest time possible. Highly recommended.
Honestly had a great time. With just one other visitor on the tour, we had his undivided attention from and honestly it was worth the early start as we got the shrine almost to ourselves! We got a lot of information from him and some super photos. A highlight of our time in Japan. Would definitely recommend.
Kevin M is a very nice tour guide. The visits to the temples & shrines we're great but his local knowledge made all the difference. Many thanks for a great day out!
Canadian Kevin was informative, helpful, and a great tour guide. He had very great knowledge of the area and kept it interesting with all of the history! Even on a hot day, had a great time. Definitely recommend
The tour was wonderful! It's pretty tough getting up at 5 in the morning on holiday, but it's truly amazing to see the 2 most visited places in Kyoto almost empty! Philippe was a great guide, he taught us lots of interesting things about the city and its history. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!
Great bike tour with "Canada Kevin" Very knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. Would highly recommend this tour if visiting kyoto
The tour was everything that was promised. Milo was interesting and fun and told lots of stories about the temples on the walk. The early start was great because we escaped the crowds and the heat. I recommend the tour for anyone who wants to learn more about temple history and culture.
This has been one of the best walking tours I've had the opportunity to attend. The history and the scenery are breathtaking. Milo (our guide) was personable, engaging, and outstanding throughout the entirety of the tour. He gave direction and encouraged us to partake in the various rituals/prayers located throughout the shrines. I honestly can't recommend him and this tour enough.
This experience is not a good value at all! Waste of my time and money personally. I could have done it for free on my own. You can Just wake up early morning and visit the 2 landmark temples in Kyoto. Also, my guide was not very helpful with my pictures. As a solo traveler I would really appreciate if the guide would take my photos at the temples. Specially, because it was just me and a couple (3 people total). Then, one person in the couple stayed behind (because she didn’t want to walk). So it was just 2 people in my tour for half of it. Yes, this tour is a LOT walk. Which I am personally fine with it. But if you are out of shape I would totally skip it. The guide had plenty of opportunity to take my pictures without interrupting the tour, but he seemed annoyed when I asked. I ended up going back to the same temples the next day with another tour guide that I met from another tour company few days prior, and The other guide took great pictures of me at the same temples. Again, waste of time and money!
Canadian Kevin was a great tour guide. He led our family of 6 all around Kyoto, stopping at a variety of beautiful locations and explained all about the history of each location. He went at a very reasonable biking pace to accommodate for all of my family members' physical abilities. He was very kind, shared many stories about Japanese culture and answered all of our questions. He also offered to take photos for us and took us to a wonderful Japanese curry restaurant for lunch. We would highly recommend Kevin for a tour!
Tour guide and owner Niall was amazing and informative. We had such a great morning out seeing the shrines and the temples before the crowds. Niall is very knowledgable and loves Japanese culture which you can tell from his love on the tour. I will definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Kyoto.
Such a worthwhile experience! Phillip had so much knowledge and really tailored the tour to the group. Highly recommend to anyone considering. Will be back for more tours next time in Kyoto
Phillipe brings an international perspective to his presentation of Kyoto. Easy-going, flexible, and very knowledgable. The early start time is great, seeing the most interesting venues before they are too crowded to enjoy.
We were recommended this tour by a friend and it was perfect. Everything organised for you, super knowledgable and friendly staff. We went with my parents and then another couple who signed up. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Very professional guide; he made contact before our trip to confirm the appointment and gave a location that was easy to find. The tour was very fun; he knew how to adjust to our level of knowledge and our level of English. He took us to several places and paid for the taxi in order to save time on the tour. Highly recommended.
These temples are open-air museums. It is wonderful to see this culture completely different from ours. Some are restored, others are the originals. Many of these, such as Kiyomizu-dera, are outdoors and for this you can admire the Japanese nature with shades of fabulous green.
Very well constructed excursion, complete and precise explanations. We let ourselves be carried away for four hours. Our guide (milo) speaks English but he has systematically ensured our understanding. All with kindness and good humor. We are delighted!
Perfect visits with Milo, an extra guide and full of anecdotes! We highly recommend! We were really able to enjoy the sites in complete tranquility!
