Had the most wonderful experience! Kana was exceptional showing us the ropes to make delicious sushi and was so nice and gentle with our children! Highly recommend!
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful sushi-making experience at Atelier Sushi yesterday. Kana and her London - born husband Karem were warm and hospitable hosts who patiently walked us through the preparation of nigiri and maki. It is difficult to think of a more authentic experience if you are looking to improve your sushi making skills: the rice comes from Kana’s family farm and the fish from the local market. At the end of the class we enjoyed what we had created and Kana / Karem sent us on our way with many helpful tourist tips and, importantly, the necessary equipment and instructions to replicate the same meal at home. Thank you, Kana and Karem, for a great experience Darrell and Nea New Brunswick, Canada
It was like having lunch in a friend’s kitchen! They walked us through the whole process and it was super easy and delicious!
A couple of months ago I put up a reel and mentioned that I was going to go to a sushi making workshop when I visited Kyoto this trip (I did the same on my last visit too). Yesterday was the day. Myself and my brother, Matty, joined the workshop. The workshop is held in a beautifully renovated, 150 year old, traditional Kyoto townhouse. It is simply stunning. Both instructors are very knowledgeable and speak great English. Kana, the owner (and instructor) is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Kyoto and welcomes any questions that you have about the city. As you can see, the quality of sushi that they help you create is much better than I thought I was able to make! The workshops are fun and enjoyable (the instructors love having a laugh) and professional at the same time. Best of all, you eat what you make so there's one less meal to worry about!
What a great experience for our family and children, Kana is super friendly, helpful and lovely and the sushi was fresh and delicious!
WE LOVED IT. The girls are truly charming. We were lucky to be just us, and besides the wonderful experience you take with you. They can recommend many places throughout Japan. Without a doubt, it is worth it. Thank you very much, delighted to meet you🥰🥰
Incredible class, very good vibes with the two girls, they taught us great and totally recommended, a 10 out of 10 for the people and a 10 out of 10 for the sushi class
It has been one of the most special experiences we are going to take from our honeymoon trip. Kana is fantastic, her friendliness and closeness make you feel at home cooking. The affection with which he does everything shows how much he enjoys giving workshops. Very fortunate to have been able to share this class with her. The place has a very special atmosphere thanks to its decoration and the play of lights and materials. I will recommend it to all my friends who come to Kyoto without a doubt!
