Our guide Chan was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He met us at Kyoto Station and took us via train to Nara. It was a hot day and he was flexible in planning our route to keep us as cool as possible. We enjoyed seeing the deer and the tour of the temple and shrine. All the time, change provided information on what we were seeing and the history behind it. He took photos for us, we stopped for ice cream and later went to a lovely restaurant. It was a really easy fun day.

Had an amazing time feeding the deer and exploring the shrines and temples. Ceci was an incredible guide, very well researched, engaging and kind. Would definitely recommend, great value for money and excellent company
Claudia was our guide . She was very well versed with the location & paced the tour based on our needs. Very articulate in English, friendly & a helpful guide.
Our guide Mr. Miyake is very knowledgeable and had guided us graciously through the tour, providing valuable insight on the venue. We could not have asked for a better guide.
Ceci our guide was accommodating, focused on your needs, engaging, knowledgeable, intelligent and told interesting facts. if she didn’t know the answer straight away she would find it for you. Kind, compassionate, flexible. And best of all, she was calm and experienced with a most positive attitude when I lost my wallet leading to a truly miraculous return of my wallet!
What a great guided tour! Our guide Alex gave us insightful information and great pieces of advice for our whole trip! 🤩
Alex was an amazing guide. He has a lot of knowledge and made our visit a 10/10. He came to our hotel to pick us up and gave us all the help and information we could wish. After the visit, he also gave us a lot of valuable information with regards to shops, visits and nice areas of the city
Really enjoyed our tour with Katsuhiko Ishida. He was very knowledgeable of the area and had a command of the English language like a native speaker. He made the experience so interesting and fun and Nara is a real enjoyable place with the friendly deer.
Nara is the must-see city in Japan. Just a short train ride from Kyoto or Osaka. The deer are so charming and friendly. Feeding them is a blast. Temple and Shrine are off the charts beautiful. Don’t forget to eat Mochi. Our guide Yochee is a Nara native and brings a lot of intimate flavor to the experience.
Very interesting, and great guide Gustavo. We all enjoyed the day very much and Gustavo showed us sections of Nara we would have missed without his knowledge
Nobumasa was a great guide! The route we took was a perfect demonstration of Nara's best qualities and specialities! Thank you!
Great walk around Nara Park and some temples. Seeing the deers was great and the views were amazing. A shame it was raining quite heavily in the morning but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. Our guide was super friendly and full of energy and even took us to try mocchi.
Don't pay for a private tour to this place. You don't need a guide — you can easily do it on your own. I made the rookie mistake of paying for the most expensive tour I booked in all of Japan — and on top of that, I accidentally booked it as a private tour, which cost me a fortune. The reality is that all you need to do is take a train to Nara and you can walk yourself to the Deer Park and the Great Buddha. The price they charge for this tour simply makes no sense — and to make it even worse, we still had to pay separately for the round-trip train tickets. I completely disagree with this.
The Nara tour was fantastic! Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, making the trip enjoyable. We loved visiting Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and feeding the cute sika deer. The local food was delicious and made the day even more special. Definitely a tour worth taking!
We’re back again to Japan this October. This time, the tour was really great and fun! The guide was amazing and informative. He showed us lot of best spots and even took a picture of us. Visiting temples and shrines was unforgettable and seeing the friendly sika deers up close was our highlight. The food was really delicious making the tour even better. Highly recommended!!
We had a very enjoyable and fun day with our guide Katsuhiko! He really is a great guy and he led us through Nara with ease. Altogether a very fun experience, which we do recommend if you do want to visit Nara.
We had a great tour with Yossi. He picked us up at Kyoto and travelled with us to Nara. He was prepared for the tour and showed us the best spots for viewing the temple and shrines, and we passed through the deer park. We tasted real Japanese cuisine during the tour and we had no difficulty communicating with him.
Our guide had an extensive knowledge of the temple, Nara and also the old town around it. You could communicate well in English and she could also give us some insider tips on what else we can look at on our further trip. Can highly recommend the lady!
The tour to Nara was an amazing experience. We were able to enjoy each place calmly and learn a lot about the local history and culture. The guide was excellent: very friendly, flexible and always willing to adapt the tour to our interests and pace. Thanks to your willingness and knowledge, the day was fluid, interesting and very pleasant. I recommend this tour 100%.
Highly recommended, especially by the guide, Alex, who gave us a lot of information about the visit and also useful information for the trip in general, two by one. If I had more time, we'd take more excursions with the same guide.
