We attended this experience as a family of four and had a wonderful time. Ms. Risa’s hospitality and attention to detail were truly exceptional. We felt extremely welcome and were able to learn so much about the culture of Kyoto and the lives of Maikos and Geikos. We would also like to highly compliment Momitomo, who spent the morning with us as a Maiko. She was very professional, incredibly friendly, and, in addition to her great performances, shared valuable insights into her life and training - which is much more demanding than we had originally imagined! Hands down, this was the highlight of our three weeks in Japan, and we would highly recommend it. Thank you!

This is a must do when in Kyoto. We visited on 16th April and the Maiko, Ichitama, was graceful and fun. We enjoyed the tea ceremony, dancing and a very fun game of konpira funefune.

The Maiko was very beautiful and nice. Her performance was surprisingly mesmerizing and made me appreciate her skills and wonder at how impressive a performance from a geiko would be.

We had such a great time experiencing a formal tea ceremony in Gion District with a Maiko-San (Momitomo - romanji spelling unsure). She was a wonderful host and taught us much about her experience and lifestyle. Thank you Momitomo-sama!

This is a must for anyone who is into photography! A wonderful experience and our Maiko was wonderful! It is fabulous that they let you take photos at will. There is the tea making ceremony and then the dance. You won’t regret this up close and personal experience!

If you come to Kyoto, this is an amazing cultural experience you should not miss. Our Maiko was Fukunagi San. She was an amazing entertainer. The tea ceremony, dancing, game, and question and answer session was a once in a lifetime experience. I can’t recommend this experience enough. It was amazing and something we will never forget. Thank you so much to Fukunagi San and to everyone else. If I could give 20 stars, I would. As high of a recommendation as I can give. Thank you!

Great experience! It was incredible to see traditional Japanese Mail Dancing and Tea Ceremony. It is a must see for anyone who is visiting Kyoto! Fukunagi was incredible and so elegant. Very impressed with her as a Maiko and looking forward to seeing her as a Geiko!

We really enjoyed our experience. The entire group of 7 was dressed in Kimonos. The experience with the Meico was both educational, beautiful, and emotional, transporting us into traditional Japanese culture from centuries past.

Great experience. If you want a look into some Japanese traditions, you have to enjoy this experience. The whole thing was fantastic. We also rented the Kimonos for the whole family so it made it even more special. And the people organising as well as the Maiko were super professional, very nice, knowledgable and answering all our questions. Thank you!

I truly enjoyed every moment of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. From the meaning and intention behind each graceful movement to the serene atmosphere it created. Wearing a beautiful traditional kimono made the experience even more special, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the culture and tradition. It was a peaceful, thoughtful, and unforgettable experience.

The tea house was Beautiful, a serene almost ancient feel that makes it like you’ve been taken, back to a different time and place. The dance was amazing, unique and something that is a must see if you come to Kyoto.

I have travelled to Japan many times but this was such an unexpected delight. In my wildest dreams I couldn’t have imagined meeting a real Maiko let alone having a private performance. This was absolutely mind numbingly wonderful. Our Maiko gave us a classical tea ceremony and then we were permitted to ask questions. Her answers were as elegant and dignified as she was. Finally we played a tradition game and the entire staff made this the absolute highlight of our whole trip to Japan. Thank you to the whole staff and especially “our Maiko-san”.

We loved the tea ceremony and the Maiko Dance. The staffs are very friendly and nice. We learned how to drink the matcha and proper manner. Great experience.

Really interesting experience getting up close and personal with a Maiko. I was surprised that she was a genuine Maiko that was actively studying, and so it lent a lot of authenticity getting to ask her questions about her experience, education and prospects.

What an exciting experience! The chance to ask a modern maiko questions about her life and understand her motivations is incredible. The performances were lovely. My daughter and I loved it- it’s perfectly appropriate in terms of amount of time and activity. This was a highlight of our trip to Kyoto.

It was an amazing experience! First we had tea ceremony prepared by Maiko, had tea and after that we saw the beautiful Maiko performance and even got to play a game with her.
