So glad we did this tour as it was a great way to know the spots in the market that are approved by locals. Also loved that we went to a temple and walked down pontocho alley. Azu was lovely and he had really great insights and recommendations. Highly recommend!

Was fortunate to have a tour of Kyoto Nishiki Food Market with Akemi. We started at one end of the market and made our way to the beginning, the shrine. Along the way, Akemi pointed out the stalls who have been at the market since its beginning. Had a couple of samples. Was grateful Akemi shared foods that I, a vegetarian, could eat. She then took me to a few streets of interest I would have had a hard time locating. Enjoyed a history lesson of Kyoto as well as great company. Highly recommend this tour!
