Loved our guide. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name (young Japanese man) but we did the tour on Oct 6th at 10am. This was my third visit to Nijo palace but the first one with a guide. We learned so much more using a guide than trying to read the English signs. My husband and I are familiar with some Japanese history and we research the places we visit before we go. But our guide had a lot of unwritten information, shared some historical stories of the people, always with a smile/laugh. He made our tour enjoyable with his light personality. and the most interesting stories. I wish this company would post their guides online.

Had a wonderful morning at Nijo Castle with Han! It had poured the day before and the day of the tour was sunny and warm! Han did a great job of explaining all the history and the symbolism behind certain things. The group was also great and met some very cool people! Highly recommend this tour and Han for more in depth information than just touring it alone!

Excellent tour. Our guide Tomoya was very patient, entertaining and knowledgeable. The tour moves at a good pace, we explorer the whole castle area and Tomoya answered questions throughout. I would highly recommend for all ages.

Tomoya was a terrific guide - he gave very interesting insights and observations to this tour. This is one a few sites in Kyoto with some original structures in place (that haven’t burnt down or been rebuilt) and for that alone I would recommend this tour. I enjoyed it.
