Kyoto: Arashiyama Unveiled – Bamboo, Temple, Matcha, Monkeys

We were late after getting mixed up with our train and actually expected we’d missed our trip. However, Takuma waited for us and was very understanding. He was fun and very knowledgable as well as answering all our questions and suggesting where we could get great photographs!

Loved our tour, an amazing morning spent walking around Kyoto and seeing the beautiful temples and walking through the bamboo forests. Takama is an excellent guide and was a great personality! 10/10

Had a great morning with Makoto, he was very good to walk around with and telling us some interesting facts about the area. We were lucky that due to circumstances we had a private tour in the end! Would recommend.

Our guide, Kosuke and the guides in training were absolutely fantastic. We ended up being slightly late and they were so patient and helpful. They were all very knowledgeable and created a very warm and inviting environment.

The best way to enjoy this tour is to start early before the crowds. We met Erika, our guide at 8:00 and it was perfect.

This was a great tour largely made by how great our guide Kosuke was. We got loads of interesting information at all the stops and he was able to answer all of my questions, so we learnt loads about Japanese culture and the places we were visiting. We also went at a good pace so no one was left behind but I was also able to hike up the hill the hill to monkey park on my own and get a sweat on. Kosuke was warm, knowledgeable and kind. Definitely would recommend.

Our guide (Takuma) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the sites we stopped at. The Dragon Temple was really impressive, and we had some time to explore the gardens as well as meditate. Takuma also answered all our questions (we had lots and he kindly enabled us!!) and took photos of us at some of the stops to remember the trip. Unfortunately we couldn’t see the monkeys due to the rain, but Takuma planned extra activities for us to make up for it. I strongly recommend this experience as “something different” to do in Kyoto, and the value for money is excellent.

This was amazing guide Kosuke was very helpful, nice, and patient. He stayed with us and got me and my family ice cream, Also stayed behind and checked if someone was lacking behind. All around 5 star experience great time.

The tour was fantastic! We learned a lot about Japan and Kyoto. It was only us on the tour so it was even better. Our guide was amazing and I would highly recommend!

It was a great day and our tour guide was very considerate of us and set the pace according to the members of our group. He sent clear instructions for where to meet and even helped suggest a lunch spot at the end.

This was the amazing tour and went to many beautiful places just for a half day. It was definitely the highlight of my whole trip in Kyoto. If you're thinking to book, just do it❤️
