We went to watch a Maiko show tonight in the city of Kyoto. Didn’t know what to expect but it was excellent. The Maiko was called Masaya-San and performed a very mesmerising show. Our guide/translator Akari was also very good and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

The show was fantastic, the art and performance of the Maiko was a cultural experience that everyone should seek when in Kyoto. Our guide Shin was great and explained everything with clarity throughout the show.

The performance and hospitality of the staff especially our host Shin, was exceptional. The session included beautiful traditional dances and games as well as the opportunity to ask Maiko-san questions. Highly recommend the experience!

It was an amazing experience! The maiko performed so beautifully! I learned a lot of cultural information about maikos and geikos. Shin did a wonderful job in explaining and translating for us through the whole performance.

We had such a great time at the mochi pounding experience with Seishiro. We were a family of four and all of us really enjoyed it, especially the kids getting involved in the mochi pounding. We also had some really interesting conversations with Seishiro about Japan, its history and culture, which made the experience even more special. It felt very relaxed and personal, and was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Highly recommend!

Our guides Shin and Sei were wonderful and welcoming. English and translating was perfect with no issues. The Geiko, Homikiwa, had wonderful dances and was so forthcoming with her answers. My grandfather and I had an awesome time together

This was a great overall experience with much respect and knowledge being shared across cultural differences. It was above my expectations. I really enjoyed the translator taking the time to thoroughly understand both sides and passing the right message across. The atmosphere has its unique pace which was calm and cozy.

This is a must-do experience while visiting Japan! It was fun hands-on, as well as a learning, experience! Plus you get to eat the actual mochi that you pound! Ko and Suhyun were amazing hosts!

Ko and Reiya are great! Extremely funny and engaging guides, very knowledgeable on the mochi tradition. They gave us explanation on the story and background and then made us make our own mochi. Lovely experience, I recommend it.

Itsuki & mizuki were great. They were like long lost. They were so welcoming, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and they made the whole experience fun from beginning to end. They explained everything clearly, took their time helping everyone, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the entire process.

We’ve booked our motchi pounding experience months ago and like 40min before it should have star tree e I got a WhatsApp saying they are sorry but there s been a problem with our booking. When 2days earlier I got a msg saying they are waiting for us… really not ok! So yes they’ve payed us back - which is totally normal!!! But to cancel up don your clients less than an hour before when we’ve been waiting for this months. Really shameful! Kids were super sad and so were we…

Ko was an amazing guide! His approach to the class, combined with his understanding of Japanese history made the class so enjoyable and memorable. He was highly interactive and made everyone in the class feel welcome.
