This experience was worth every penny. You get to do calligraphy on a fan, make matcha and put samurai suit on with photos ect definitely recommend. X

What an incredible experience! First, you learn how to write in kanji, but what happens next is like stepping into a completely different world. You get to wear a real samurai suit of armor! Then you take part in a traditional Japanese matcha tea ceremony, all while still wearing your armor. Afterwards, you can walk around the city and have a little photo shoot near the bridge. When you return, they even do a professional photo shoot for you in their studio. I never imagined I would ever get the chance to wear real samurai armor! In my opinion, this is an absolute must-do when visiting Japan!

An absolutely wonderful experience in Kyoto! Highly recommended! Everything was perfectly organised from beginning to end. We started with a Japanese calligraphy lesson, where we got to write a few beautiful Japanese words on traditional fans. Then came the highlight – dressing up in beautiful samurai armour and feeling like we had stepped back in time! We also enjoyed a traditional matcha tea ceremony, learning a little about its preparation and tasting the delicious tea, followed by a fantastic photo session. What made the whole experience even more special was having their professional photographer with us throughout all the activities, capturing photos and videos of every moment. It was wonderful to have such great memories of the entire experience! A special thank you to the amazing team at Kyoto Samurai Walk – Bernard, Julio, Yuuto and Kohana. Bernard was our guide and stayed with us throughout the entire experience. He was absolutely fantastic, making sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed every moment. The whole team was incredibly professional, kind and welcoming. We were genuinely impressed by their attention to detail and how well everything was organised. We had an amazing time and are absolutely delighted with the experience. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. Thank you all for making it so memorable!

While tourists are walking around Kyoto in kimonos, I walked around in full Samurai armor. The entire experience was well worth the price in my opinion. Doing the full package is worth it. The bigger the group the better but being in a party of one gave me so much time for photos. Would highly recommend for a tourist dress up experience outside the norms. Side note: I got to live my Sanada Maru fantasies a bit!

The armor dressing and photoshoot was a fantastic experience. The staff are very helpful and guide you along the way to choose and then dress you in the armor. There were many options to choose from and many photos were taken. They also helped us pose but you can also choose how you want to pose for photos (together or separately or both). We stayed about an hour for the experience.

Excellent experience. They dress you in the armor then show you other armors on display. Then it’s time for pictures. Katana included in the package so you get to pose with the sword

The whole experience was so much fun! All the staff was delightful and helped us create memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this experience and I would do it again when next time I’m in Japan

It was so much fun! I had an amazing time making Macha and dawning samurai attire. I even got a fiance at the end! The staff was very helpful and amazingly nice! I would do it again!

My husband found Samurai Walk on TikTok, showed me, and we booked immediately. We both had a blast! The guides were friendly, and very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. We recommend going at sunset, or night - as the armour can be pretty warm.

This was the most amazing cultural experience. You must indulge and try it. Very educational

Phenomenal experience. They walk you through rituals and routines samurai would follow before going to battle. They help you don the armor and the walk is relaxing but fills you with confidence. A wonderful time for any fans of samurai or culture!

The experience was a lot of fun! All the guides speak perfectly English too. We first made our own Gunsen (war fan) by drawing our own kanji on it. Then they helped us into getting into our armour, they have light armour (and light helmets) and heavy armour (and heavy helmets).. then we got a mini tour into different samurai outfits they have on display, we whisked our own matcha tea, after that we walked for about 5 minutes downtown and took pictures near the Takase river (on the Minami-Daikoku bridge). People outside where also impressed and took a few pictures :-) After that we went back inside for a photoshoot with katana's! We, as a couple, had a lot of fun role playing and posing <3

The guide and the stories that we had a way long way really clear and interesting. I would've loved to walk a little more with the armor but overall it was AMAZING. I recommend it to any one who wants to enjoy a nice traditional samouraï experience.

Amazing experience. We learned a lot and our questions were answered. We did some calligraphy as well with was quite easy and afterwards tried matcha for the first time We walked out in the street which was a bit awkward but very quickly became cool as time went by . The hosts were great and very easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend.

A very fun and authentic experience. Wonderful and friendly staff, very supportive. They take many pictures and videos, no worries there. Lockers to store your items while you are out. Highly recommended, even if your going solo. And own the experience!

It was a really cool experience to wear a samurai armor and feel how heavy they actually were. Our Guide Miyabi was really nice and explained us a lot about the samurai era. Also the photoshoot was fun!

It was great not only being able to wear the armor but I also learned things about the culture, practices, and ways that I did not know before coming. Things that are not usually explained in documentaries. Viewing real traditional armor that is hundreds of years old was truly amazing
