This was such a great experience in Kyoto. Kahoku was an amazing host! She was friendly and knowledgeable about sake. She had such a great presentation set up for us. But her real talents lie in her cooking. The food she paired with the sake was amazing and she made it all herself! I would do this tour all over again just to eat the food again. Follow the directions she gives to find the bar because it can be a little bit challenging to find.

We had a lovely time tasting five different sake. The session was relaxed and fun, and we were the only people there! This is a good option for beginners who are looking for a basic introduction to sake, as well as those who want a relaxed sake tasting in the centre of Kyoto and who do not want to dedicate half a day travelling to one of the larger or more time consuming tasting sessions at breweries in the suburbs.

It was my first time participating in a sake drinking contest. There were also 5 different kinds of sake tastings, so you could feel the different tastes. Then there was the pairing with a snack, and having this one changed the taste of sake and was interesting. Isn't that the perfect way to remember your trip?
