Very fun, hands-on experience, taking an Ancient Japanese coin and making it into a ring and necklace. The staff were great and really helpful in teaching & explaining the process. Definitely recommend!
I just walked in without reservation and luckily the shop wasn’t too busy. Chose a vintage coin and ended up damaging several pieces 😭 Chet and other guys from the staff were amazing and helped me so I finally got one ring that survived 😅 unfortunately my original review didn’t upload so you can’t see Chet in person, but I promise he was looking fabulous. And was amazing throughout the process, thank you!!! ❤️

You have to pay extra for a Japanese coin, then extra again ro polish the ring or get a thicker width. It was in total about 3x the listed price after these extras and only took around 15 minutes. All you do is pull a couple handles. The ring was too thin to see the coin pattern well and a bit uneven. Not at all worth it.

Ren took us through a very enjoyable forging of our own take-home souvenirs. Admission was a good flat rate but the add-ons begin to stack up. Regardless, we had a very enjoyable time. It only took about an hour. The staff spoke excellent English and were very kind and polite. Very good experience!

Fun activity, easy very chilled experience
Exactly as engaging as advertised. You're able to do absolutely every step, from cutting the coin to sizing it using all the tools, and the guides exactly knew when to help. For the price, it was extremely fun and you do really get whatever you want thanks to the amount of international coins they have to choose from. When my family went we weren't alone but didn't feel crammed with the other guests, but I could see space being an issue if it gets busier. Absolutely worth

The workshop was really well structured and guided. I went in the afternoon and it was quit empty, so the staff had a lot of time guiding and answering questions. I didn’t fully understand what they meant with a thick and thin ring, so a little more explanation on that end might be nice, or I’d recommend asking some more questions to understand how you can choose your ring to look like. They have plenty of really nice coin options to choose from as well! Note that if you’d like a Japanese coin you will need to pay extra.
A good alternative afternoon in Kyoto city with a memories to take home
Went along with my mum and each made a ring using a vintage coin. Super fun and easy experience and we now have a memento that we will cherish forever.

Was able to walk in around 5:30 and taken immediately, The staff was so nice and extremely helpful (plus redoing when my coin broken) a definite must do on days to get out of the heavy rain!
