Our tour was a beautiful experience to the atmosphere/ambience and culture. We got to experience the iconic location in day and that would take us a couple days to reach. Also our tour guide was very knowledgeable and attentive.

The car was a Mazda cx2, the guide was 20 yo and didn’t even know the population of Kyoto. We started the tour off 1hr late because they could not find us at the train station. The young guide did take us to a good local sushi place and suggested a rickshaw ride in the bamboo forest which was awesome. There was nothing luxurious about the car or the tour. It was not worth the money!

Ryu was very knowledgeable in the history of Japan and with speaking fluent English made the tour very enjoyable, thank you Ryu and a special thank you for Ren out rickshaw driver in the bamboo forest.

It started badly with the initial drive to the first stop taking two and a half hours instead of one and a half hours because of the driver not wanting to use the highway. However he went out if his way to make up time and do as many activities as time permitted. We had an enjoyable day. Thank you.

Ryu promptly picked us up at hotel, as my son is confined to small manual wheelchair he helped my son into vehicle and secured his chair in the back, he is a good driver, it was an hour ride from Osaka Hotel to Kyoto for day trip, he took us to the Shrines and Temples in Kyoto area and knew great place for us to take Rickshaw ride thru the town, what a great experience. He helped push my sons wheelchair thru some tough spots around Kyoto and was a great help. We had a long fun day

We are 81 & 74 years old Vegan , vegetarian and Ryu for such a young person was most sensitive to our needs and capability in 30 plus temperatures. A fantastic, calm and skillful driver, I got to sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. Ryu shared his vast knowledge of the iconic Kyoto sights like the Golden temple as well as tailoring the itinerary to suit my pace and interests. He was very thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble, even finding the perfect restaurant for me (I have a very restricted diet). Where I ate the most amazing avacado and salmon sushi of my life! A brilliant tour, I'm very grateful to Ryu and the team for making this day truly memorable. Highly recommend!

This was my second time in as many months doing this tour. First time was solo, and that’s when I met Ryu. The second time I brought 3 members of my family back as a graduation present for my youngest son! I couldn’t have been happier with the decision! Ryu is top tier, he’s funny, relatable, extra professional, extremely accommodating, and treated us like royalty our entire time with him. We never felt rushed, he always was checking in and making sure we had what we needed but also keeping everything running smoothly. I felt like I got a complete steal on this tour. I couldn’t have asked for a better way, on limited time, to see two incredible cities. The car was immaculate, his driving was exceptional, and he kept us entertained for the duration of the tour. If you’re wanting a personally catered experience with a true local who has great people skills, and really listens to what the client wants and works hard to make it the best possible experience, look no further! Ryu was an excellent guide. He shared extensive knowledge about Kyoto’s history, culture, and the many sites we visited, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. He took us to all of the key destinations we wanted to see and made the day seamless from start to finish. Ryu also took many wonderful photos that will help us remember our trip. Needs to up his game. I have to say this was one of the disappointing private tours we've had. Seemed disinterested as a tour guide from the off set. Gave minimal information and really felt we were inconveniencing him with our questions and requests. We thought this would be one of the highlights of our Japan trip but now really feel we'd need to visit again with a different guide to get the true essence of these amazing destinations. Just to add he was consistently was using his phone whilst driving (shopping, checking Instagram, etc.). Gave 2/5 as the photos came out well and got us to where we needed to go and connected with my teenagers. English was good too.

Ryu arrived on time to pick us up and the car was comfortable. We were disappointed at his level of knowledge. I had told him before hand that we were keen to learn about the culture and history of the area, but he wasn’t very forthcoming with information and did not seem keen to tell us much. Unfortunately he was using his phone whilst driving a lot. He left us for an hour and a quarter to go and have his lunch, which we felt was too much, and would have preferred to move on with the tour. He was fairly friendly otherwise and was helpful taking pictures of us. Overall he seemed somewhat distracted. We felt that for the price of the tour we would have liked to learn a lot more about the history and culture of Kyoto.

Young guide generally knowledgeable. We all clicked with shared interests and felt like we were friends. We are 70+ so it was a lot of wlking for us. Ryu was accommodating with finding places to sit and rest occasionally. We appreciated that. Ryu also arranged our itinerary so that we toured ahead of the crowds. Weather overcast, muggy and hot low 80°s.

Our tour was pretty amazing. Ryu is super fun and an entertaining guy. We laughed a lot and he made little adjustments along the way. We saw amazing views. We ate a a nice local ramen spot Rei Rei Tei which was Delicious! Having a private tour is the way to go and do it with Ryu. He is too funny.

Ryu was an outstanding guide. He customized our tour from our hotel in Osaka, in 8 hours we visited Nara, Todaiji temple, Arashiyama (Bamboo Forest), and Golden Temple.
