Fantastic experience, had the most wonderful time making chopsticks here!

We did the premium wood with engraving and were the last people in the studio. They were kind and did not rush us. We are very happy with our new handmade chopsticks

Very nice experience. We were mostly guided by Lin, who was very friendly and helpful. The chopstick making was satisfying to do. We spent a lot more time than an hour, but they did not mind. We also asked for a recommendation for a local restaurant, which ended up being a good experience as well. I'm pleasantly surprised overall. If I were to do it again, I would choose the premium package.

Excellent experience - the guide, Sharif, explained the different types of wood available to us, talked to all the pieces of equipment being used, and supported throughout the process. He also gave us a good understanding of the alphabet used for our engravings.

Absolutely loved this experience! The team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient throughout the entire workshop. They were always ready to help whenever we had a little difficulty, while still letting us enjoy the satisfaction of creating our own chopsticks. There is a great selection of materials and designs to choose from, so you can really create something that feels personal. The engraving is also beautifully done and makes the final result even more special. I was genuinely impressed with how our chopsticks turned out — they look beautiful and feel like a meaningful souvenir that we will actually use and keep for years. Such a lovely, authentic and fun experience in Kyoto. I would absolutely recommend it! ❤️

Had a wonderful experience making chop sticks with Riko-san!! Easy to understand the instructions and was able to choose from a variety of tree to make you chopsticks! I went ahead with the rosewood as it’s hard to find it anymore! They got seasonal woods and it’s overall wonderful. The custom engravings are quite nice as well.

A really good experience that reminds one of the craft hours in primary school. You are allowed to choose your wood and must start planing and sanding. We had a sweet "teacher" named Ayako, who told us about Japanese chopsticks, culture, and just had a sweet chat. A train journey of about 1.5 hours and was a nice break from the 20,000 steps. Plus it gives a nice souvenir to take home

Nice experience, but be aware that the experience might turn out more expensive than you think, but you are in control.
