What a fantastic experience! I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy wood working because I didn’t want to mess up my nails but it was so easy and fun. You do need a little elbow grease but nothing crazy. Plus our instructor Jamie was so wonderful and helpful. I enjoyed the group we were sitting with as well. It’s so cool to meet new ppl from different walks of life. It has been such an enjoyable experience! 10/10

This was such a great experience with Jamie as our instructor and the group we were with was so fun! I feel super accomplished lol, I’m so glad I was able to craft my own chop sticks all on my own! I highly recommend!

We did a walk in and they got us right in but do recommend you reserve as they do fill up. We just got lucky. They were so helpful. It was such a unique experience and souvenir.

Highlight of my trip to Kyoto! We spent about an hour shaping our chopsticks from raw timber using traditional hand planes and sanding tools. The staff explained the different wood qualities really well and checked our work frequently to make sure our chopsticks turned out symmetrical and comfortable in hand. The engraving service at the end was quick and accurate. Perfect activity for pairs, families, or solo travelers looking for a quality handmade keepsake. Ken and Mitchel is good!

Wonderful guides, in fact the whole team, are able to explain everything in steps. Had fun being able to customise how we wanted the final looks of it to be.

Wonderful experience today in making chopsticks with the family. (Appropriate for younger kids mine are 4 and 11). Great conversation and explanations on how to make them and the types of wood. Amazing experience, great prices, would definitely do it again and recommend

This was really fun, and a great value. I liked the length of the session (just over an hour) and the friendly staff running the workshop. It was easy enough that you could chat while you worked, and you end up with a fun souvenir. I'd recommend this to anyone.
