Kyoto 1-hour Ninja Training Experience With A Japanese Master

1 Star I am extremely disappointed with my experience regarding a promised refund from Pier Sixty-Six Resort. I was advised that a credit would be issued. More than four months later, I have still not received any credit on my Visa card. Throughout this process, I have made numerous attempts to resolve the issue. Hotel Planner has also attempted to contact the resort multiple times regarding the missing credit and has reportedly received little to no response. According to Hotel Planner, there is no record showing that the resort issued the refund. After four months of emails, phone calls, and follow-ups, I am still waiting for a clear explanation and resolution. I expected much better customer service and communication from a resort with Pier Sixty-Six's reputation. Until this matter is resolved, I cannot recommend this property based on my experience with its customer service and refund process. Such an informative session. We loved dressing up, learning and practicing the ninja moves. Our 6 and 8 yr old girls loved it too.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. The hosts were attentive, friendly and really fun to work with! Eventhough the class was only an hour we went through all the main principles of ninja profession and it was entertaining throughout. Thank you so much for having us, we had the best time 🥷🤩

The best experience if you like Ninjas! I didn't know what to expect but I was really pleased by everything, me and my friends really enjoyed from the start to the end, it was fun but also serious enough to learn important things! The only thing I regret is that I only took the 1h class so I would definitely recommend it to other people if they're still wondering to do it or not!

This was an amazing experience for the whole family. Our teacher was amazing and we were fully exposed into the ninja culture. My only regret was not booking the 2 hour show. I will come back to Kyoto just to have this experience again. My kids aged 8 to 13 fully enjoyed the experience and it was the highlight of their Japan trip, even beating out Disney and Universal studios. We have done previous experiences, but this gave you the chance to duel with swords, throw stars and blow darts like a real ninja. And we got to dress the part at the same time. We were also blessed with amazing pictures that we sent to us after our experience.

We had a 1 hour Ninja training and as a family we found this very fun to do! We had a great teacher and it could have lasted 2 hours! The location is very nice looking and we were the only group so we had the full focus! I would definately rebook if I am in the area.

Great experience for the whole family. The instructor was patient and hands on with the kids, made them feel like real ninjas for the hour. Sword handling, throwing stars, all of it taught properly but kept fun and not overly serious. My younger one loved it as much as older one did. Well run, good energy, would recommend for any family visiting Kyoto.

The ninja lesson was sooo much fun! The instructor were great to work with and really knowledgeable in the technique and history of the ninja. It was truly hands-on and trying the shurikens and blow darts in as definitely a highlight for my boys. I highly recommend this class and it was one of our favorite things we did in Japan

Had a wonderful time dressing up as a ninja and learning how to meditate and walk like them and use their weapons.

It was a cool experience. We enjoyed it as a family and had fun learning some of the Ninja techniques and weapons. It is an experience that would be interesting for kids and adults.

My two boys and I had such a fun experience learning about the history and techniques of the ninja. The instructor and staff were great to work with and we loved the experience and hands on style of the lesson. I highly recommend you try the class!

It was an absolute blast!! We did the activity with my two kids (ages 10 and 13) and everyone really enjoyed it. Our instructor, Sho, was great and very interactive. Would definitely recommend!!!

The team did a great job, engaging the group and making it fun. We were two adults with two adult daughters. Might be better suited for younger kids.

Great fun for adults and children. My 13 year old son and 11 year old daughter had the best time! Dojo is funny and everyone gets to try the ninja moves, throw stars and blow darts.

This booking was so much fun, I was lucky enough to end up on my own for my booking and could really get hands on attention. I’m not sure how it would be in a bigger group but I had a blast.

Amazing experience for our family to learn the way of the ninja. Our teacher Sho was excellent at demonstrating each of the moves and provided great history of the ninja along with lots of opportunities to try it ourselves. Would highly recommend this Ninja Dojo

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The female instructor was a stunt double and taught up brilliant skills and how certain tools are used. My favourite was throwing the star and the blow darts! Highly recommended experience! Thanks

What a great time I had today, the ninja master took us through what ninja expectations were. So we dressed up as ninjas learned how to use some of the weapons the ninjas use and their escape tactics. The ninja master and staff were so great it made for a great experience by every one in the class. Highly recommend this for any one traveling solo and family’s great time will be had by all. Great family fun! We took our 11 and 13 year old sons and had a blast as well as learning a lot of ninja tactics. They even provided free photos. Great experience, well worth the money.

The whole family had fun here with well instructed English class. You get the outfit, then taught some chants and exercises, then ninja walking techniques and then come trying out the weapons. Four different weapons, so a lot packed into the hour. We didn't do the false wall escape I'd seen online, maybe that is in the 2 hour package? I would recommend a visit with kids, and its more comprehensive than the offerings of the Ninja Cafes dotted around Japan.

Great fun, definitely worth doing, especially with your teen kids. Basically, if by any chance you have to face a Ninja, make sure you run faster 😊

They take photos (free of charge) during the class. My Sensei Tomoe was extremely knowledgeable about ninja history and culture and she took the time to explain everything. Her English was really good. The experience didn't feel rushed at all (unlike some other places I had read reviews about), and they limit the classes to a low number of people. This is a real dojo where they also do ninjutsu training. They have a shop with some artefacts that you can buy, and some old authentic artefacts. It felt really immersive and authentic. I cannot recommend this place enough, I wish I had known about the two hour class! Thank you so much to the whole team for making this experience so memorable!

It was fun to learn the history and explore all the weaponry of the ninjas. The host was fabulous with great explanations and wonderful with children. I would recommend this experience for a family of all ages.

This was such a fun class. We did the 1 hour class but wish we did the two hour as it was so much fun.

This was very educational and family friendly activity. I loved learning about the history and the differences between a ninja and a samurai. Amazing experience!

This was such an amazing experience. Not only did we complete ninja training, we were provided pictures and videos of our training. This was very unexpected and a nice treat. The staff were incredibly kind. I would highly recommend this experience.

Hosts were engaging and energized the session. Lots of hands on activities like darts, ninja stars, swords. Would recommend especially for those with children.

We booked this experience with our son in mind, but my husband and I enjoyed it just as much as he did, if not more! Our instructor was great, and it was so fun learning some of the movements and how to use the weapons. I think the blow darts were my favorite!
