Kyoto 1 Day Golden Route Bus Tour

We had the most amazing day with our tour guide Eiko! It was very rainy on our trip but she made the day so magical in Kyoto. The history and meaning behind all the temples and shrines plus her lovely personality made our trip! The car and driver were so lovely, provided umbrellas and water bottles, such professional service. Would 100% recommend if you have limited time in Kyoto and want to see the main temples in the area. 10/10 day, Thank You Eiko!

Small group of english-speaking travelers. Ability to ask questions. A good variety of venues visited. The lunch buffet was a total treat of Japanese quisine. Eiko is an awesome guide. A lot of walking, so be prepared for the exercise.

It was an excellent experience to be able to tour the shrine and temple with “his” . Eiko is a wonderful local guide with is ever so polite and patience with extensive knowledge of Kyoto . We were told at first that due to the last minute booking that we might not be able to go as there was no availability . But some passengers did not show up and that sort of set us on our way . The bus ride that we have expected turned into what we thought was a private tour in a limousine. Such an upgrade and personalised service at no extra cost. We have visited all the shrine with the company of Eiko who is ever so young at heart and strong . She walked, explained and brought us not only around the temples and shrines as well as the shops around to taste the Kyoto delight's! Absolutely value for money ! Did I not mention the lady driver with great skills and always so well mannered😊. Also included buffet lunch that has a pretty good variety and healthy. Just a note , this shrine and temple visits would really be a full walking tour so be prepared to get really good shoes! Expect Up slopes, stairs and long walk around the gardens in the temple and shrine and uneven surfaces with small stony paths.

We love Shelley. She took us to 1600 temples in under 8 hours. We said it couldn't be done but she proved us wrong. 10/10 would walk around with her again.

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Kyoto. We ended up being a small group, and our group was the only ones to have the full day tour, so we had the bus to ourselves and our guide too. We got to see all the biggest stops and our guide Tammy was so accommodating to our group! We loved learning about the different sites and temples, and we really got to see all Osaka has to offer. It was a long day, but worth it!

It was a beautiful experience of the most beautiful sites in Kyoto . We had luck with fantastic weather.

It was quite a nice tour around kyoto and the tourguide was really friendly. I really would recommend this tour for first time visitors.

This is a must do if you have only one day in Kyoto. Thanks to our guide Tammy being patient with us we could get some great photos in all these places. After this tour you could do a gion walking tour and end your day. Overall we had an amazing experience. Full air conditioned private transfer to all these places with a good lunch included makes this tour definitely worth it. Special thanks to our guide Tammy san and our driver Saeki san for being so polite and welcoming.

Knowledgeable guide Tammy helped us to visit all places per itinerary. Lunch was one of the best we had in Japan. I salute H.I.S. for their professionalism. It is low season and we were two only. Company sent tour guide Tammy with taxi. HIS changed regular tour to private tour. I know Company lost money but kept their promise. In future I will book HIS only because of their service and professionalism.

Tammy has been an amazing guide for us today. She has shared so much history of Japan with us today and has explained all the customs at the temples we have visited. She is no knowledgable and we have really enjoyed our day with her. We recommend doing The Nara half day tour.

It was a very nice experience. The guide was amazing, sweet, welcoming. She shared with me interesting informations all the way and wasn’t rushing at all so I could take all the pictures and videos. I recommend this 100%. It’s also better to go see the temples in the morning because it’s less crowded. The sites we visit are worth it 100%. I usually visit sites and temples alone, but it felt really good to have someone this time who explains what I was seeing and the story behind it.

This tour covers a lot of ground for the money. It was in a passenger van so less time was spent getting in and out of the vehicle. You must be able to walk about 16000 steps on total.

We were able to see the major sightseeing experiences. Our guide Toshi really made it a great experience. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He was such a great sport and was very interactive with our whole family!!!

The guide Haromi was exceptional and made the tour memorable for all I believe. At every attraction she explained the history with confidence and without contradictions. She went extra mile on return to Osaka to make sure all of us made it to our hotels and transport connections safe. She was simply available for us on the group. Overall I'll recommend this tour to anybody, it was a long but fulfilling day. We didn't feel like we missed anything in between.

This was a great way to see Kyoto if you are short on time. The group is small and you are able to see all the major highlights. Out tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Kyoto is an amazing city!

I liked the Imperial Palace and the Nishijin Textile places the best. Although all of the stops were very beautiful. Our guide Yoko was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful shrines, temples, and palaces. Huge amount of walking and stairs. Lunch was good and plentiful.

Everything you want to see in Kyota covered in one day. Do not miss Golden Pavillion. Very worthwhile.
