Excellent guide. Very knowledgeable with great highlights
Went on this tour a few weeks ago with my aunt and had a great time. Teri, our tour guide was wonderful. She was very knowledgable, kind, and brought a sense of humor while sharing the history of everything we saw. I really enjoyed the private garden walk by the tea house. I highly recommend!
Teri, our guide, was amazing! She was knowledgeable and funny and very patient. In our tour group was another family with two young kids who were very tired, and Teri was extremely understanding and patient with them, offering many alternatives to the tour activities to help them. This was a great day out and a great way to see the main sites of Kyoto!
We were a somewhat unruly group of 11 from the US. Teri was our wonderfully patient and knowledgeable guide. The day was as hot as could be. Yet we all had a great time together. The tour was exactly as described with some slight modifications due to the intense heat. Highly recommended!
Terri was our Amazing tour guide today! She was very knowledgeable about current and historical information on the three sites we toured. It was ample time at each tour site and was a good balance to get lunch on our own to refuel before our monkey forest hike. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and kindness to our family during our tour. Terri made us feel very comfortable and she clearly is passionate about her work.
Tour was very good. Got to see plenty of great spots in Kyoto and guide was very knowledgeable about everything. One of the best tour experiences I’ve had.
This was a perfect tour for Kyoto. We covered most of the key sites and learned so much thanks to our guide Teri. She was really knowledgeable of the sites and the history, and made each one interesting. The communication was great. We knew everything well ahead of time and all our questions were answered. If you can, request Teri. She made the day so much fun and kept us engaged the entire time. I would definitely recommend her and this tour if you’re looking for a good use of your time in Kyoto.
Amazing tour ! Oisin showed us the bamboo forest and monkeys and fed us great food. Overall a really wonderful experience !!

An amazing tour! Beautiful stops and very well run.
Beautiful places to visit, lots of walking! Our guide, Ushing, was fun and informative! Make sure you are ready to climb up lots of steps and high incline to see the monkeys! Great view from the top! Well worth it!
I took this tour in January with a couple of friends. I found the tour guide very informative and good at entertaining the group. I will definitely come back for more tours. The atmosphere was educational and interesting, and you felt comfortable asking questions if you would like. I learned a lot, so to conclude, it was a meaningful experience.
We had an absolutely unforgettable day in Kyoto with Teri and Jay as our guides. Hands down the best tour experience my wife and I could have asked for. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. Exactly what you want in guides. From starting the morning at Fushimi Inari Shrine to finishing the day with the monkeys at Iwatayama Summit, every stop was seamless and memorable. We’ve been in Japan for two weeks, and this day stands out as the highlight of our entire trip, largely because of Teri and Jay. If you’re considering a Kyoto tour, don’t hesitate and book with them!!
This tour was such a nice way to see Kyoto. Our guide Teri and Janiel were the best guides! They were so fun and informative, took great photos as well! One of the best days of our trip. Easy, relaxed, and really well organized. Highly recommend!
One of the best tours we did in Japan. Informative, relaxed, and full of hidden details. We got amazing photos and learned so much. The guides, Teri and Jay were amazing! Thank you so much!
We had a tour with Teri and Jay. Both ladies were absolutely fabulous! They shared a lot of history and knowledge with our group. They made the tour so enjoyable and personable! The scenery is gorgeous throughout the day, and the monkeys at the end are a highlight! There’s a lot of access to restrooms, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. Additionally, the lunch break was nice and appreciated. This is a must do tour in Kyoto!! Thank you so much, Teri and Jay!
The guides were very knowledgeable, and friendly. Everywhere we went had great sights. Great tour guides and a great tour!
We had a great experience on our tour! Teri was knowledgeable about the history and also had a lot of great tips for enjoying the more touristy things in Kyoto despite the crowds. She also managed our tour group really well (people joining the group late, people leaving the tour early) without impacting everyone else’s experience. Note that the post for the tour is all about the version of the tour THAT DOESNT INCLUDE FUSHIMI.
Excellent day with the best guide!!! Teri gave us a great tour, taught us about history and culture, and took us everywhere! I would recommend this tour highly!!!
We had a fabulous informative and leisurely day with Teri. Teri was friendly and considerate to all on the tour . She was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions and also encouraged questions. She guided us to a great place for lunch with plenty of options. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend highly !
Wonderful tour of the bamboo forest, temples, and monkey park! Teri did a great job of explaining the historical background of each temple and made sure to give breaks between different sites. And the view of the mountains and gardens is spectacular!
We enjoyed our day today with Aaron as our tour guide. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. Aaron kept our group engaged with interesting conversation and humor and this made for a very pleasurable experience. He was relaxed, and the tour proceeded at a comfortable pace. Two thumbs up!
Teri is a very good guide, explaining the historical significance of the various places we visited on the tour and giving us time to take pictures.
We thoroughly enjoyed this full-day tour of Kyoto’s highlights. At Fushimi Inari Shrine, our guide Teri explained everything of Fushimi Inari while also leading us to less crowded areas where we could appreciate the gates in peace. Then we traveled to Arashiyama, where the Bamboos were absolutely breathtaking. She also gave us time for temple stamps, shopping, short break before continuing. The pacing was excellent, and Teri was attentive, fun and knowledgable. Highly recommended for first-time visitors to Kyoto. Thanks Teri!
This tour was amazing! We had a great time at this tour. Great balance of history, photo time, and breaks. The guide showed us hidden spots at Fushimi Inari and gave us options for the hike! She even took amazing pictures of us in the bamboo forest despite the crowd! Highly recommended!
