Tldr, I'd stay here again. Great location, facility, staff. Just 1 block from Hanamikoji street, Kenninji Temple. And 10 minutes tov the shopping district. We also enjoyed the patio, and the quiet of the area. The room was spacious, the shower was strong, beds, pillows, were nice. They also attached for our luggage transfer. Wifi got flaky at times.

A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the Gion district. Nice and close to trains, eateries and temples and a very easy walk to the shopping districts. Proximity to Kamo River is great for runners. Friendly staff. Felt like home by the end of our 3 night stay.
I’ve been to Kyoto numerous times and this is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The location is perfect, as it is on a quiet street but still close to all the action. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room is spacious (we got the comfort room), with a spa-like bathroom and a balcony with a view. One thing to keep in mind: Japanese dryers don’t get as hot. If you plan to do laundry, do it as soon as you check in as you’ll probably need to do a few cycles in the dryer and hang them on the balcony.
Hidden gem in Kyoto. The rooms are massive. Very hard to find rooms this big and unique. The room includes a tea room, and a balcony with a beautiful view of Kyoto. The hotel has very friendly staff and provides tons of free amenities like makeup remover, cleanser, foot masks, etc. Best part about their rooms is that each one has a wooden bathtub. I was skeptical to book this at first as there are fewer reviews than the big box hotels, but I am so glad I trusted my gut. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Had the best sleep time on my trip so far at this hotel!
I had a wonderful stay at Rinn Gion Hana Touro, located right in the heart of the historic Gion neighborhood. The hotel was extremely clean, quiet, and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax after exploring Kyoto. The location was excellent — just steps away from many restaurants, shops, and the train station, which made getting around very convenient. Everything about the stay felt magical. The reception staff were especially kind and welcoming. Soda-san, Kota-san, Nam-san, and another older gentleman whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch were all very helpful and always greeted us with warm smiles. Their hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.
