The location of this hotel is unbeatable—being right next to Kyoto Station and Porta made getting around the city, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient. We also loved how quiet the room was, and the nice, comfortable bed guaranteed a sound sleep every night. Combined with the courteous staff and impeccably tidy lounge, it made for a perfect stay!
Great Japanese hotel within steps of mass transit and shopping. Rooms are a little small for larger parties, but well-furnished, appointed and spotless. Staff are excellent, attentive and very helpful (e.g., forwarding luggage or even watching belongings after check-out). Be sure to visit the Kyoto Coffee stand across the street if you need an early morning cup of joe. Would definitely stay here again.
Our stay here was fantastic - we reserved a standard king room and it was very clean, comfortable and nicely styled, as were the rest of the hotels facilities. Breakfast was excellent, with a large variety of tasty japanese and western foods. Location right near Kyoto station was so convenient - we only had to take up to one train/bus (no transfers) to anywhere we traveled to in and around Kyoto.
Hotel staff were impressively friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, only a few minutes walk from Kyoto Station. Room is comfortable. The only criticism perhaps was the limited (two) washing machines shared by all of the hotel occupants.
Great hotel. It is only a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Station’s Central Exit. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was also great, so I recommend including it when making your reservation. It is easy to get to Shijo Kawaramachi by bus from Kyoto Station. It takes approximately 10–15 minutes, and you can take bus No. 4, No. 7, or No. 205. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just be aware that Kyoto charges an accommodation tax. It adds up, so just do a quick research to avoid any unexpected cost. Other than that, location is great and we enjoyed the stay.
