Mimaru Suites Kyoto Central

We stayed in a two bedroom Japanese suite as a family of 5. I researched accommodation a lot prior to booking and I so pleased I went with Mimaru Suites Kyoto Central. This was our best accommodation during our Japan stay. The suite was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. There was enough space for our suitcases and having our own washer/dryer meant we could do a load of washing every day. The accomodation was close to public transport and a 7-11. The staff were friendly and helpful, we used the luggage service to transport luggage between locations which was a life saver. The staff had all our luggage tags ready to go upon check in. Downstairs they had free water, coffee, tea, beer, sake and Lipton tea which was an added bonus. I would highly recommend for families and I will be staying here when I return to Kyoto in the future.

We stayed here as a family for a week and a half in June/July during our time in Japan. We had an apartment with two bedrooms, it was great, clean, well maintained. The staff were great, gave good suggestions on where to eat, made us feel very welcome. The location in Kyoto is good, there are places to see and eat locally and good metro connectivity for going further afield. I would definitely use again if staying in Japan.

The best!!! Loved our stay here First time in Japan. We checked in late but did inform them in advance. Very responsive via email. The rooms are super clean either the latest amenities. You can cook with utensils provided if you choose to. Even the cutlery was individually wrapped for new guests to use. The tatami area was just so pretty - we didn’t use it but the living area was very relaxing especially in the evenings and oh they have free sake and beer in the evenings until 9pm. The staff were very friendly, warm and helpful. Beds are comfortable too and we slept very well. Location is perfect. Short walk to karasuma oike station and to nijo castle. Plenty of convenience stores and restaurants as well. We were only here two days and wished we could have spent some more time. I would love to come back again on a longer visit.

Just completed a 5 night stay at the Mimaru Suites Kyoto Central and could not have had a more pleasant stay. The front desk staff is outstanding and helped with every aspect of our stay. Ola, Ina, Aline, and Tomo were all very kind and welcoming. Ola kindly shared her insider tips and steered us towards less touristy spots in Kyoto which we really appreciated. Her restaurant, coffee, and matcha recs were spot on and it was very clear that she has a love for Kyoto and wanted to share her experiences with us. Ola and Ina were also very helpful in making restaurant reservations which helped with the language barrier and allowed us to avoid being locked into set menus that are typically offered on Tabelog. We enjoyed the lobby juice/beer/sake/water/ice. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean giving us all space. The washer/dryer was great given the rain/warmth that made us want to change our clothes frequently. Kyoto is a wonderful city and we can't wait to come back. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again at Mimaru Suites Kyoto Central and see our new friends at the front desk again! Thank you all!
