I had a wonderful experience on this tour! Janise was a fantastic guide. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful, always making sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I learned so much about Bonaire, its history, culture, and interesting places thanks to her explanations and insights. The tour covered many of the island’s main highlights, both in the north and the south, making it a great way to explore Bonaire and get to know the island. Janise’s warm personality, knowledge, and attentiveness made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bonaire!

Itinerary
Here we will start our tours when you arrive by cruise ship. We will meet you 15 minutes before your tour departure time to ensure we start our tour on time. When you exit your ship, please walk to the security gate (there will be only one security gate) and look straight ahead, where you will see a sign saying Internet booking. We will be standing there with your name on paper. If you are from a Hotel or Apartment, we will pick you up at your apartment or in the lobby at your hotel.
We will give you a city/town tour through downtown Kaya Grandi. Kaya Grandi is the Main Street, where all the shops/restaurants and ice cream shops are in Kralendijk. After the tour, you can feel free to be dropped off in Kralendijk, where you will be able to do some shopping and walk around. If you are from the ship, Kralendijk is only a 5 or 1 min walk away from your ship where the cruise ship ports are.
That is where we have boats coming in for shelter when big waves come toward the Island.
You will be able to take a nice picture of the wonders of the sea. That is going to be a pleasant surprise for you.
We will be driving through a neighbourhood called Hato, where most hotels are situated.
Here you will see the most affluent part of the Island, and your tour guide will share with you why the rich people are coming to Bonaire.
Here you will be able to get off the vehicle, walk around, and take some pictures of the beautiful scenery of the clear blue ocean. If you don't want to walk down to the beach because of the Steps, that is no problem. You can stay at the top and enjoy the beautiful view.
From a distance, you will see the beautiful scenery from where the water level was many years ago and one of the best Diving spots on the island.
Here we will share the history of when the enslaved people were living on Bonaire, and you will see the building where the women and the children were staying during the week while the man continued going to the south side of the Island.
Your tour guide will share and show you some of our oil tanks and why we have them here on Bonaire.
Here you see the beautiful scenery of the flamingo in the background and the tallest hill on the island called Brandaris. Here you will not get out of the car since it is a reserved area for the flamingoes, and we are not allowed to let our guests get out of the vehicle, but you will be able to take pictures of the Flamingoes while your tour guide is driving. Depending on the day, you will see the flamingoes very close up; sometimes, they are far away.
Rincon is the oldest town on the Island, where everything started many years ago. You will still see the oldest buildings on the Island and the lovely scenery of why Rincon was chosen many years ago when Bonaire was discovered.
Here you will see the splashing waves hitting the cliffs on the coastline with sometimes a lot of donkeys walking around until we reach downtown. We will also be passing right next to Bonaire Landsailing, where you can see people sailing on land.
We will be going up to a hill where you will be able to see Bonaire from above.
That is the second old neighbourhood on the Island where the Indians have moved.
That is the largest neighbourhood in Bonaire.
Here your guide will tell you more about the inter Bonaire main street.
Here you will see our pink airport, and we will share about tourism and flight arriving and departing from Bonaire.
Te Amo Beach, meaning "I Love You" Beach, is a beautiful public spot near Bonaire's airport. It has a tranquil and sandy shoreline with easy access to the water.
That is a lovely beach where local family and friends gather on the weekends and for celebrations.
That is a fast-growing neighbourhood on the Island.
That is a Local Beach with very clear water.
Here you can see one of the ancient lighthouses on Bonaire with great history.
That is a new resort with a lovely pool. This resort has a pool where you can sit and order your food from within the pool.
You can see here a ship wrack, a famous spot for divers.
We will stop at the pink water and the salt mountains so you can walk around and take pictures. That is the most beautiful stop on the Island because on your right-hand side, you will see the two blue colours of the ocean, and on your left-hand side, you will see the pink water with the white foam on the ground coming out from the salt water.
Here you will see the Slaves Huts, where you will be able to experience how the enslaved people were working on the Island and where they were sleeping during the week. We'll be taking some time talking about the corals. That is the last stop, and from here, we will drive you back to the ship. It is a great time to ask still questions you may have to your tour guide. Please NOTE: we will have everyone from the cruise ship back to the cruise ship terminal 1 hour before the ship's departure time.

Due to overbooking by vendor we did not participate in this excursion. They could not provide additional van in reasonable amount of time
Janice was a great tour guide. She picked us up on time at our hotel with one other couple. We hit the highlights of the islands which gave us a nice idea about what we would like to explore more. It's a really good way to orient yourself before you go exploring.
Janice was our guide and she was absolutely wonderful. We had a tour of the whole island and learned about the animals and vegetation. She was very knowledgeable throughout the whole tour and really did a fabulous job when we went down to the salt pyramids. It is a great way to learn about the island.
Janise was on time. She brought a 9 passenger van which was comfortable & cool. Make sure you use the bathroom before you leave. There was one Port a Potty at the last stop which was about 2.5 hours in to the excursion. Otherwise, it was a wonderful tour of the whole island.
we started the day getting picked up right in port which was super easy to find our driver. we thoroughly enjoyed our day as we got to see a bit of everything on all corners of the island, not to long in one place and stopping to take photos along the way. this tour was a great activity for families or those traveling with mobility issues as it was based out of a car and it required no crazy activities we were all able to participate. the only concern we had was the heat as the air conditioning in the van was broken the day we toured, which was no fault of our guide and is hopefully repaired. overall great experience!
I would leave negative stars if possible. I booked weeks in advance and messaged the night before to ask about the exact meeting point. Message wasn't answered. The day of no one showed and I spent an hour panicking and asking every tour operator, messaging and calling with no response. Later they messaged saying they weren't showing my ship in port that day. They offered to come later but it would not have worked as we were only in port until 3:30 PM and I didn't want to cut it too close just in case of latenss, plus we had already been standing in the heat and exhausted runnign around asking everyone for help. A professional tour guide would have messaged their customer and said they didn't show their cruise in port becuase had they done this I would have easily sent them my itinerary. They should have also answered the messages that I started sending the prior night asking about meeting spot and got it figured out. My first and only trip to Bonaire was completely ruined by this company. I did get a refund (actually still in process but shoudl be within 5-7 days), but the refund doesn't make up for the months I saved for this cruise and our activities. My time cannot be gotten back and a whole port was ruined. I would highly NOT recommend this company. Also, none of the ohter tour companies there even heard of them (including the main dispatcher who seemed to be in charge of them all) So, shame on Viator for hiring an unknown and unreliable company. I will never use Viator again.
Stephen was super nice, fun, and very knowledgeable. This tour covers so much of the island and its history, it was great!
It was very informative tour , the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, he was very helpful he stopped at all the sites so we could experience everything
Stefan met us at the port gate with a sign with our name. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He gave a lot of information and answered everyone's questions about the island, it's history and about the stops. Stefan made the tour great. We would highly recommend this tour especially with Stefan.
Beautiful island-Bonaire Our tour guide Renny was phenomenal with a sense of humor and a historian. I enjoyed my tour of Bonaire.
Stefan was very knowledgeable about the town. He was on time and very kind. I would use him again. Thank you for a wonderful tour of your beautiful country!
This ended up being a private tour because no one else had booked which was a very nice experience. Our tour guide was an island native and was extremely knowledgeable about the island, wildlife, politics, and history of each site we visited. He was professional and accommodating and gave us some great insight into life on Bonaire. He also gave us recommendations for things to do on the island and places to eat. The van was clean and cool and very comfortable. Our only regret is that we did not do this tour earlier in our trip as we learned about so much! We ended up revisiting the 1000 steps after we stopped there on this tour.
We had a great time with Mar. He was very informative and the island is beautiful. We saw flamingos, parrots, warawara, donkeys, and chibichibi. We had a great time and learned a lot.
Great listening to the history of the island! Lovely guide who showed us all the island has to offer and answered all our questions!
Janise was absolutely amazing on the tour, she was very informative and answered any amd all questions that we had. She explained everything about each stop that we had. I would highly recommend booking with this company. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had an amazing time! Although I was the only one in the tour Marjolein was very informative and kind! I was able to get some awesome photos!
Our tour guide, Shekhinah, was amazing! She took us all over the island. It was a tour of just 6 people so it was very personal. She is a great driver, which is really important to me. We would 100% use her again!!
The main issue with this tour was our guide Kiki or Keke. While she was friendly and fun, the information she gave us was very limited and mostly just factually wrong. She couldn't name a single wildlife species native to Bonaire or give accurate information about them. Every lizard was an Iguana or a baby Iguana, even though they were completely different species. She missnamed local plantlife, gave completely wrong historical information about sights, which could be dissproven by just reading the tourist info boards by the road...and couldn't share a single detail about the salt production. I don't want to be disperaging, but she didn't know salt was made from seawater through evaporation, but kept talking about chemicals "and such". If the information was just sparse, I wouldn't complain, but for it to be so weirdly wrong at times is just unacceptable and disappointing. Before booking, we read many very positive reviews mentioning great local guides, which makes this experience even more sour and our expectation far from met.
We walked off our cruise ship just after 11:30 am and walked to the gate where our tour guide Kay-Kay was waiting for us. The tour was planned for 3 hours visiting points both north and south around the island. There were 9 people in our group as we traveled in a passenger van. The tour started by heading south where we passed by Donkey Beach and made a stop at Bachelor’s Beach. We then stopped to visit slave huts and then to see and stop at the White Pan salt flats. There we could get samples of the large salt crystals that are made there for the Cargill corporation. After the salt flats, we headed north with our first stop at a beach area called 1,000 Steps. You need to walk down 67 steps to reach the rocky beach from the parking area. The waters were a vibrant blue. We then drove past an old slave owner’s estate called Karpata. Along the way, Kay-Kay would stop to point out parrots in the trees, along with donkeys, iguanas, and goats along the road. She also noted different types of trees and pointed out cave areas as we drove around the island. We made a brief stop at a small lake called Goto Meer to view flamingos. We then headed south driving through the town of Rincon on our way to visit Seru Largu, a large hill offering panoramic views of the island before returning to the pier and the ship. Kay - Kay did a great job as a tour guide.
The vehicle was wayyy too small for all the ppl she shoved in the van When booked I was told it was a guided tour for 4 people.plus the driver. When we were picked up it was a Mini Van with 8 other people. My husband is 6'2" 250lbs and broken leg.& he was smooshed in the back seat with his knees up into his chest. For the price we paid and what happened I wouldnt do it again.
It wasn’t a bad trip, but everything seemed to be in a hurry and you had to catch things on the fly. Guide didn’t seem to know all the answers to much of the questions.
I had a really good experience on this tour. Pickup was right on time and everything felt smooth and well organized from the beginning. I visited during Bonaire’s slow season and ended up being the only guest on the tour, so I really appreciated that they still honored the booking instead of canceling like another excursion company did to me earlier in the trip. My guide, Mark, was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared a lot of interesting information about the island’s history, culture, and landmarks throughout the day. The salt flats were absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite parts of the tour. I also loved that they gave me lovely salt crystals as a souvenir. The only thing I would have liked was a little more beach time and an opportunity to swim at some of the stops, especially compared to other island tours I’ve done. Also some tours let you in town and let you explore and go shopping. That would be a good thing to add to the tour as well. Overall it was a great way to see Bonaire and learn more about the island. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you want a scenic and informative tour experience.
It’s a fun time and you get to see a lot of the island. Our guide was very nice and she did a great job.
Really enjoyed the driver and tour around the island. Saw flamingos, donkeys, goats, roosters, salt hills n ponds, and great views
Great excursion I would do this trip again and loved it . I’ve been on eight cruises in the last four years and this is in the top 10 ten .
We really enjoyed our tour. Janice was very knowledgeable, especially about the natural elements (plants and animals) of Bonnaire.
Tour guide Janise drove and talked throughout the tour. She was very knowledgeable, kind & friendly. She answered almost all questions. She did not rush us through the excursion. A good person to use on their 1st trip to Bonaire
We were fortunate enough to have friendly guide Marjolein to the 2 of us as she toured us around the majority of the island’s sights, sharing history and stories of this relaxing place. We recommend this tour.
Nicolene was our tour guide. She provided interesting and informative commentary along the way and stopped at several interesting sites during the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting a local diving spot, 1000 steps and of course, we saw flamingos, which was my hope and I was not disappointed. I would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to experience the history and highlights of Bonnaire!
A lot of time in the van, knowledgeable driver. She was very nice. Has limited stops where you can get out and explore. If you are in the back you will not get to see what she is referring to.
Once again, our guide Nicolline was wonderful. We saw all areas of Bonaire, and her explanations and stories made it a great experience. I highly recommend this adventure to get to know Bonaire!
Great little tour of the island. KiKi was a great tour guide and we really enjoyed the small group tour.
Small group, comfortable van, and experienced, friendly and knowledgeable guide! We saw and learned so much! Having been to Bonaire before, we were interested in seeing other things - especially wildlife. We were not disappointed! Goats, donkeys, flamingos and many, many birds! Also great scenic vistas. Cannot say enough great about our Guide, Donni.
On my previous visits to Bonaire I’ve only seen the south part of the island, so this was a great way to see more of the island. It was easy to meet our guide near the cruise port. There were only four of us in our group so that was great, but it might have become uncomfortable with a full minivan. I especially enjoyed visiting 1000 steps, the old capital of Rincon, and a lookout point over the island.
Nice tour to see around the island. Tour apparently does not necessarily include everything listed on the description of the tour. Started a bit late even though we were early.
Wonderful tour. We felt we saw the whole island. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Her native insights made the tour all that much more educational. We saw all kinds of wildlife. We got amazing pictures. I would highly recommend this tour
Our guide, Renny, was very knowledgeable and witty. We got to see areas we would not otherwise have known about and learned about the nature, history and culture of the island. In addition to various types of plants and trees, we saw a parrot, flamingos, donkeys, goats, iguanas and roosters. A very informative tour and nice way to spend a couple of hours.
Janise was our tour guide and did an excellent job of showing us Bonaire. She was very good at answering questions and we now feel like we have a good feel for life on Bonaire. She was happy to stay as long as we wanted at sites and answer all of our questions. We did not feel rushed.
This was totally amazing. We got an overview of Bonaire from a fellow who grew up on the island. Lots of history, geography and geology, things to do tips, and personal stories. Our guide, EJ, was so personable and challenged our grand son on natural and ancient history of this area. PERFECT!
This tour covered everything we needed to know about Bonaire. Janise our tour guide took the time to explain everything and there was plenty of time at each stop. We would highly recommend it.
Van was too small for 6 people. Tour guide was friendly, nice & polite. Could have been more knowledgeable about the history of the area.
The tour guide was 30 minutes late arriving for the tour but he was fantastic and knew alot about the island. As we were traveling in the tour van we ran out of gas on the side of the road. Thankfully we were walking distance to restaurant where we went and waited for over an hour until gas could be delivered. We were unable to complete the tour as we had to get back to our cruise ship in time.
Our guide was Daniel maybe, he was very knowledgeable and so friendly. Air-conditioning was great in van it was just a bit crowded with 9 adults. Covered the whole island, WONDERFUL
Excellent tour and guide. He was very informative and gave us a thorough tour. Great experience and worth the time.
We toured with Nicoline who was brilliant, friendly and accommodating throughout. She gave a great personal insight to life on Bonaire and was interesting to listen too. She gave great facts along with great humour. We stopped at all the main sights and had great photo opportunities and even made an impromptu stop to get some great shots of the Flamingos. There were 6 people on the tour so it was better than being on a coach load of people where time is always limited and wasted.
We were picked up at our apartment in a very nice SUV. There were a total of 4 on the entire tour, which was great. Be sure you know when & where you will be picked up, Viator lets you contact the tour provider so it's very clear, and we had no problem. We saw the whole island, except for the National Park, which is a day I itself. But we did stop near it, & I got some great pictures. Our guide, Rinny was very good, especially great at spotting wildlife, even a Cara Cara bird! At first, I worried I couldn't understand him well, but once the other couple got on, & the tour actually started, he became the guide. He told us a lot about the things we were seeing & I wish I could remember everything. I really liked the 1000 steps, & the area near the National Park. The only things I'd change were, I'd have liked to stop for a moment to get better pics of the kite surfers & windsurfers. All in all, a great day! He went above & beyond, well past the 3 hours the tour was scheduled for.
What a great trip with EJ. Very interesting information about this beautiful island and nothing was too much trouble for him. We saw flamingos , Iguana , donkeys and lots of other interesting animals. The air conditioned car was wonderful. Highly recommend.
It was better than expected I saw everything I wanted to see on the island and I was able to take some salt home with me from the island
Enjoyed this experience with salt flats, flamingos, donkeys and crystal blue waters all included! Bag of salt was a bonus!!😁
