Zakopane Tour From Krakow With Funicular, Cheese & Vodka Tasting

It was a beautiful day and the scenery is worth the drive. Our guide Mario pointed out various landmarks along the ride out to the mountains. He was very helpful and informative.

Oskar provided us with a wealth of information and anecdotes about the city and its unique features. We also had the opportunity to visit two small villages near Zakopane (complete with a tasting!), as the guide led us to the most beautiful spots! Brilliant trip to Zakopane with our driver Piotr! Highly recommended!

Our tour guide Matthew made the journey very well organized and efficient and made good efforts to make journey enjoyable. We were a small group of 4 people. We had sufficient time to visit each site and meeting points and all the information were communicated clearly. This was 11 hour tour including to free hours for visit to Zakopane, funicular ride up to Gubalowka mountain, local experience of tasting cheese and drink and visit to Thermal baths. This journey was both fun and relaxing and was worth the money.

We bought the tour above via Hellotickets, but got a little bit different tour without lunch option. But that is already refunded. Huge points for: - we were picked-up at our hotel - we had a small group on that little bus - our driver Oscar was super nice and friendly - we had enough time to spend in different locations - we could taste the polish smoked cheese. Because of the weather, we couldn't get the best view from the Gubalowka view point. There must be very beautiful when it is sunny. The smoked cheese was delicious. Highly recommend.

We did the Zakopone tour with cheese and vodka tasting. Our driver Piotr was very informative about the buildings and houses we saw on our journey. He also related to us English folk on the topic of football. The trip took us to a little pit stop where we saw a wonderful church before heading to taste the wine and cheese. After this we headed to Zakopone where we got 3 hours to look around and explore what we wanted before arriving back at the meeting point for our journey back to krakow. We booked through our travel guide so the price was included with our flights and hotel etc. While in Zakopone, we took a cable cart up to the top to see the views of the mountains and wow, what a view. The view was breathtaking and the weather was on ourside because it was so warm. We also had a bit of a big kid moment and did the Snow tubing. We laughed all the way round and enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you Piotr and Zakopone for a wonderful experience for our first Holiday ❤️

10/10 would recommend. We booked on the get your guide app and went for the Zakopane Trip with cheese tasting. Be careful when booking that you book the right option as we had selected the wrong trip due to the options not being clear, but luckily our driver Oskar was so accomodating and rang the office to get us back on the right trip. He was super knowlegable about the area and really friendly and chatty on the trip. It really made the trip for us. Our tickets for the cable car was included and all info was sent to us by Oskar on whats app. He also sent us some recommendations for other places of interest to visit in Krakow. An excellent trip overall.

We first booked the trip when we got to Krakow and after a lengthy wait in the morning it was cancelled due to the car breaking down before it got to us. Even though a full refund was issued a fully compensated trip for the next day was offered and it was excellent. I’d highly recommend this trip even after the trouble we had the first day. Our lovely driver Matthew was attentive and informative and made it a great trip. The time given in each stop and then Zakopane was perfect and i couldn’t fault the trip at all. Great experience we really enjoyed.

It was well worth the 2 hour journey to Zakopane to experience the funicular ride (it really moves very quickly) and the stunning views from the viewing platform. We would have liked to spend more than the 3 hours alloted for the Zakopane part of the tour. The cheese and vodka tasting was, in my view, unnecessary (there was one piece of smoked sheep's cheese and one shot of fruit vodka on offer) and the wooden village was interesting but located in an area where many houses are made from wood - we drove past some exceptionally pretty ones on the way.

Wow I loved zackopane. It was beautiful. Stunning and snow was lying brilliant. The view mountains sun out . I loved loved loved it .Time and pick up was good. Jordan our driver and guide was brilliant. So professional and enjoyable .Price was reasonable I thought. What an experience so enjoyable. Visit all day was great. Busy but ok. I think it's for everyone.

A very enjoyable day, saw some great scenery, elegant buildings and went on a cable car to see over the town of Zakopane to the Tatar Mountains. The only downside was that the traffic was atrocious but our driver Matt kept cool

THIS IS NOT IN ANY WAY A TOUR. Zakopane is great area. The older man drove us there, waited for us in the car, gave little direction on what to do. The group of us who didn't know each other were mostly confused and lost. If you want a driver to take you there, then this driver will take you there. If you want any descriptions, guidance, support or information then this 'tour ' will definitely not provide it. The driver drops you off, gives you a time to come back by and then sleeps in the car. You wake him up and then he drives to the next place. The driving skill of this driver is also not great. On 3 occasions different drivers used their horns to beep him because he went into their lanes. Either he was having an exceptionally bad day (although I doubt it, given other reviews) or he should find another job.

Great company, informative and efficient. Came ahead of time but did not leverage that to pressurexus. On the contrary - Matt was very latient with us all day long. The day I picked for the trip wasn't optimal but it wasn't mathew's fault. If anything - those occations are whrere one relies on the tour guide the most. Matt didn't come in short!

We had a wonderful experience on our day tour from Krakow to Zakopane. Our driver and guide, Matthew, was excellent—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared a wealth of interesting information throughout the journey and pointed out many fascinating sights along the way that we would have otherwise missed. He also gave us some great personal insight to the Polish culture. The highlight of the day was the funicular ride to the top of Gubałówka Mountain. The views from the summit were absolutely spectacular and made for some unforgettable memories. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable trip. Highly recommend this tour—and especially Matthew—for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane!

To be honest the tour was so so… I really don’t like when tours write in their description something that is not really fully the case. In the description it says that the Cottage Cheese Tasting is included: when I read this I expected to try a few. Instead, we only got to taste literally 1 cottage cheese and since we really liked it we asked if we could try another one. The people there said no, you have to pay after your 1 cottage cheese tasting. I thought this was included as part of the tour… it felt very cheap. The driver Thomasz was a nice driver and we liked him, he did a good job as a driver and he was friendly. I give the tour 2.5 stars and I give the driver 5 stars.

Great trip! Oskar was a lovely tour guide, and although the journey was two hours it went by very quickly and in a very comfortable minivan. Communication was great throughout the whole day. We visited Zakopane, went up the funicular to some amazing views, stopped off and tasted some traditional cheese and vodka which were delicious! Then onto the thermal baths. Here it was incredibly busy, however we did expect this with it being holiday season, but we still enjoyed it nonetheless. Highly recommend, thank you Oskar!

Nice trip to Zakopane with a great, pleasant driver, tour guide Mr Matthew . Matthew toured around the zakopane and wooden houses as well as offered us a ttaditional cheese taste. Thanks Matthew for all the info and great tour.

Michael was born to be a tour guide, he goes 5 times a week so he explains everything perfectly. He is ever knowledgeable, very caring and very funny. I have had many tour guides in the past and none of them were as inviting in the past as michael. 100% recommend.

trip was ran very well - prompt pick up time and confirmation day before / morning of and the driver was knowledgable and friendly. there were a few stop offs on the way to zakopane and the viewpoint were beautiful. the trip to zakopane was beautiful as we had just under 4hrs to take the cable cart to the top and walk through the xmas markets. the price was great considering the drive was long and included a cheese taster, vodka shot and tickets up to the top of the mountains. really nice day out and great company to book through - highly recommend :)

I had Tomasz as my driver for my trip to Zakopane and I could not recommend him enough. He was incredibly lovely, enthusiastic and allowed me to tailor the day based on my interests and schedule. He constantly made sure I was happy and reminded me to let him know if I wanted to stop and check things out at any point. Really great experience!

Misrepresented tour information and reviews - if you like being squashed in an 8 person mini-van, no welcome or commentary from your driver ( couldn't be called a guide), varying pre trip notifications, a rushed visit around places without information, a driver who exceeded speed limits, then this trip is for you! Absolutely do not know which trip the listed reviews relate to, certainly not the one we were on. Ps the vehicle was air-conditioned.

I can only say good things about this company and our driver Kamil. He picked us up on time, explain everything when we arrived to Zakopane and stayed in touch for the whole trip.City center was lovely but bit overcrowded.Overall 5/5 experience!

Went on the zakopane for the first time we had a fantastic driver called Janek he was so polite and was telling us history and information from the moment he picked us up till we got back to our drop off destinations. I would definitely recommend booking this tour.

Had a wonderful trip from Krakow to Zakopane . Our driver/ guide Michal was exceptional and pointed out several interesting sites on the road , even took a little side trip to Slovakia ( no border anymore )to get some very good chocolate .Enjoyed the cheese tasting on the road . Highlight was the trip with the funicular up the mountain and the breathtaking views of Zakopane and the mountains across the valley . Michal made the trip very special for us . Thanks Michal
