Cannot recommend this trio enough. Full day of fun and very reasonable for the price. The guide has also been super helpful, informative and also a really good laugh. Can’t recommend this enough!

On your way to Zakopane, you will visit the place where one of the most unique cheeses in the world is made. Highlanders - local settlers, famous for their manual production of "oscypek". It is a type of smoked cheese made from sheep's milk. The wooden houses where this cheese is produced are called "Bacówki". In such a small wooden hut you will be able to try different types of this cheese with different degrees of smoking, as well as learn how it is made.

Being in Zakopane, it is absolutely necessary to take the cable car to the top of Gubałówka (1123 m asl). A modern car with a glass roof allows the railway to climb upwards, wonderfully admiring the evident multi-storey arrangement of the Tatra vegetation with the peaks of high mountains in Poland. There are many attractions at the top, most of all, a wonderful panorama of the Tatra Mountains, an uninterrupted view of the mountain Zakopane located at the foot of the mountain and the possibility of relaxing in the sunshine. On 06.10 - 10.10 the Gubałówka cable car will be closed due to maintenance work. Instead, our tour will travel as high as possible by car and take a short walk to the viewpoint. As a compensation, our guests will receive a lunchbox of their choice, at our expense and in addition there will be a mulled wine tasting. We will contact you via WhatsApp or email before the tour to discuss your preferred lunchbox.
It is believed that Zakopane is the heart of the Tatra Mountains, then Kropówki is the heart of Zakopane. You will visit this most popular walking street, which is at the same time a specific city square and its focal point. At any time of the year, Krupówki Street is crowded with tourists who visit shops and go to regional restaurants located along the street. In this street, you can find many traditional highlander items to buy, such as clothes and souvenirs. You will have free time to get to know Zakopane on your own. Start from Krupówki and take your time to find other points of interest in the city.

Marek is a credit to the company and we have already told friends who are coming in February to come to the tour with this company. He was friendly informative and made everyone laugh. The driver was also very good - thank you both for making this a great experience x
Fantastic trip great tour guide
Great day, very well organised and made even better by our host, Marta. Thank you very much, thoroughly enjoyed it. Sean (Hope Valley, Derbyshire)
The experience was great! We had enough free time to explore Zakopane at our own rhythms Mirek was really kind, always available to help in any way we needed. That really made the trip feel more comfortable and safe. Would definitely visit again!
It was a great trip. Mirek gave us really good recommendations for local cusines. We had amazing time at Chocholowa baths. Highly recommend.
Fab experience value for money nico the guide was brilliant very knowledgeable and entertaining
A fantastic and well worth trip. This was a really enjoyable day with a knowledgeable and engaging guide (Niko), I would highly recommend the trip to anyone visiting Krakow as it's a brilliant way to get out of the city and learn about some of the culture and history of the country. Such a wonderful day!
Not to missed. Snow capped mountains, beautiful scenery. Great way to see Poland's countryside and learn some of its history. Stephan was an excellent guide. Thank you for the recommendation by our friends.
Had good time with my girl gang However the best part was our guide
Beautiful town and well worth the time We went in summer so sadly no winter wonderland but still highly enjoyable
Great guide Haurone. Easy , great communication.
This was such an amazing tour, I would book it again in a heartbeat. It was such a good way of seeing parts of Krakow that don’t seem as accessible because they’re so far away - we visited a small town, tried some amazing quince and lemon Polish vodkas and Polish smoked cheese, then headed to Zakopane for free time and the funicular ride. Our guide Merik was absolutely incredible, he genuinely cared about us enjoying our experience and even lent my boyfriend and I cash in a shop as they did not take card. The whole time, he was providing us with information about the places we were going past, and the history of the places we were going to. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day out or a better guide! Definitely recommend this trip.
A fantastic way of accessing Poland in a day, at an affordable price. Merik made the experience unbelievable and gave a really deep insight into everywhere we went - I can’t recommend him enough! The places were incredible, a mixture of fun, beauty and historical insight. Overall a good way to experience Polish culture.
Great tour - lots of free time in Zakopane
Fine trip that was very well organised and with a great guide. And nice to end the trip with the thermal baths. However too many souvenir-shops for my taste in Zakopane and on top of the funicular ride.
Great experience. Really good admission fee for the day trip. Length of visit about 10.5 hours from 8.25am pick up to 7pm drop off. Really good atmosphere and mini bus ride of about 20 people. Stepan (apologise if spelt wrong) was a great guide and Lucas was a great driver. About 1.5 hour drive out of Krakow then stops to see the wooden house, goat cheese and vodka tasting and then into Zakopane. There is a funicular up to the mountain at Zakopane and then the town to explore it was definitely more crowded at the top of the mountain but a lovely view. The thermal spa was a highlight lots of areas to explore and the 16+ area was so relaxing and chill!
Our Zakopane day trip was absolutely fantastic, and our guide, Niko, made it even more special. He was incredibly friendly, informative, and funny, making everyone feel comfortable from the very start. Niko shared some brilliant recommendations for places to eat in Kraków, which we really appreciated. The breathtaking views in Zakopane were unforgettable and were definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Niko, for making the day so enjoyable and memorable. Your enthusiasm, knowledge, and kindness really made this one of the best experiences of our holiday. We had an amazing day and would highly recommend this tour!
Great trip into the mountains with our guide Nico. Everything ran to time. Really enjoyed the cheese and vodka. Highly recommend.
The tour was really nice, the places are beautiful! Zakopane is so charming, the experience of swimming in the mountains as well. Our guide, Fabian was so friendly and helpful! Everything was perfect!
Simon, our guide, communicated effectively and was a perfect host. We had a fantastic day and we were dropped off right in front of our hotel. You can tell that Simon loves his job! Thank you!
We had heard so much about Zakopane and decided to take a tour rather than go by train. So glad we did! It was door to door service with excellent communication ahead of the pick-up point from our guide and driver Pawel. There were 7 of us in his spacious, immaculate vehicle and three different variations of the tour represented by all 7 passengers. Pawel was courteous, patient, accommodating throughout the day. He had excellent local knowledge and entertained us with facts and anecdotes as we headed towards Zakopane. We had a comfort stop, a stop off at a UNESCO village famed for its wooden houses and we got into one to observe a wood carver at work and another stop at a shepherds hut to sample smoked cheese and vodka! We were brought to the funicular railway in Zakopane and Pawel sorted out our tickets. We hadn’t opted to attend the thermal spa but those who did were given time to enjoy the sights at the magnificent viewpoint overlooking the Tatra mountains before Pawel drove them to the spa. Had we gone by train we would have missed out on so much. The price seemed expensive compared to public transport but we had a wonderful day full of rich experiences and made new friendships with our fellow passengers. We’ve always enjoyed escorted tours on previous holidays in Europe and this one was up there with the best days out at around £67 per head. It was approximately 12 hours from start to finish, in a very comfortable vehicle with an excellent guide. In context, Thousand Miles charged us the same as some golf buggy tours around the Old Town which lasted 1.5 hours! And the same price as a 30 minute trot in a horse drawn carriage around the square! Definitely recommend this trip with this company.
Despite the rain, it was a magnificent day. Olaf is a wonderful person and a true professional; magnificent work.
Absolutely lovely full day out. Mirek our tour guide was wonderful, so knowledgeable and explained in very clear english the history surrounding our trip, from visiting the wooden village to the vodka and cheese tasting to the wooden church and then onto Zakopane. A big special thank you to him.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE – WOULD 100% RECOMMEND 💗 Our tour guide Fabian and driver Michael were both absolutely lovely – nothing was too much trouble. They contacted us the night before the trip with our pick-up location, time, and a description of the vehicle, which was incredibly helpful. Our stop was extremely busy that morning, but knowing exactly who and what to expect meant we felt calm and organised. The vehicle was a smaller bus rather than a large coach, which made the experience feel much more personal. It was also ideal for anyone who suffers from travel sickness. After booking, the company contacted us via WhatsApp, where I shared our hotel details. They were brilliant at picking everyone up right outside their accommodation. They even rang people to make sure no one missed the tour and were happy to wait if needed – something you definitely wouldn’t get with a large coach. Little touches, like a great music playlist, really helped us relax and enjoy the journey. When the music changed to local Zakopane-style tracks, it added even more to the experience. The tour itself was unreal, and I would absolutely recommend it – Zakopane is stunning 😍 We were aware beforehand that Zakopane would be busy, especially after seeing posts online and knowing December is the busiest time of the year. However, despite this, everything was very well managed. The cable car queue moved surprisingly quickly, as did the shops and market stalls. Fabian was really helpful in explaining things along the way, including advising us that as tourists, if items don’t have a visible price, prices can change each time – so it’s best to only buy from stalls with clear pricing. Restaurants were understandably very busy, so if possible it’s worth booking a table in advance. That said, we were still able to find food after a short wait and a walk around. The bus journey included three well-timed stops, including a toilet break, exploring the town and its architecture, and a visit to a shepherd’s hut where we enjoyed vodka and cheese tasting. Fabian and Michael ensured everything ran smoothly and that everyone got to enjoy these experiences without any stress. Fabian shared helpful information about the culture and expectations, delivered in a way that was informative without being overwhelming. At each stop, he walked us off the bus, clearly explained directions, and set clear return times. Once we arrived at our destination, he also sent messages with recommendations for places to eat and useful tips, along with reminders of when to return to the bus. He did the same when we arrived back in Krakow. There were also multiple buskers around Zakopane, which added to the atmosphere and gave the place a real Hallmark movie vibe – such a beautiful way to end our trip. Overall, it was an incredible experience that we genuinely can’t stop talking about 😊
Brilliant day trip and well looked after by Paweł and the team. Loved the visit to Zakopane and the cheese & vodka were nice surprises!
We booked to be picked up at our apartments, we had to walk to the bus with 3 registered disabled people. When we got to Zakopane we stayed for 5.5 hours as we didn't go the thermal baths. We went up the funicular and gave plenty of time to get down (1 hour 10 minutes before departure) The queues were horrendous and after 25 minutes of not moving we decided we would have to walk down (with 3 disabled people) We asked the staff at the top for disabled access they bawled at us to get in the queue! We started to walk down the 3km walk and found it lethal underfoot, so slippery, even young people were falling. No lights whatsoever and the only thing to hang onto was a piece of rope. My husband fell along with 2 others and we suspected he'd badly damaged his leg. No where to get help so I phoned the guide and told her how bad it was and that we couldn't make it down in time that my husband was badly injured and we were having to carry him down between us. She told us a mini bus would come. The driver, Marek, came skidding in the car park and we explained what had happened, we were all covered in mud and upset. He said we had kept 40 people waiting and that he was tired as he had worked all day and to hurry up and get in. His attitude was disgusting so we got out. He demanded payment, I said we would pay half as he wasn't taking us back. He then shouted polish obscenity to us. We then were bombarded with messages from the company telling us we had to pay by 9pm or polish law states we would be arrested. Never did I say I wouldn't pay the half. Avoid this company because of the worse happens, they only care about the money.
Pawel did a great job driving, showing us around and providing touring suggestions!! The thermal baths 🛁 was excellent along walking 🚶♂️ around the town and views from the top....
A nice variety of experiences on this trip to Zakopane. It was all made very easy- and fun- by Simon. Don't miss the thermal bath- it was so relaxing. All ages in the different pools and everyone was respectful and warm.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Zakopane! Michal was an outstanding guide-incredibly knowledgeable about the area, its history, and culture. His communication was exceptional from start to finish, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Michal to anyone visiting Krakow!
Mirek was a fantastic host, friendly, funny and helpful. Shame the cable car was having maintenance but a last minute add on of the hot springs made up for it, great group of people on the bus, great day
This is 2 reviews. I give Magda and the driver a 5 but the company 1. Magda did a fantastic job with this trip out of Krakow. She gave a very informative tour and was very helpful throughout a long day. As for this company they had the audacity to schedule 2 different tours together with the second group to the spa the party drunk crowd and came back to the bus with a box of beers. We had no knowledge this was the case. We had to wait for this group to get back and then had to make an additional stop to go to the bathroom. It was all unnecessary and I fault the company as well for having such a small bus. Our bodies had to stuff ourselves into these seats with no legroom. Absolutely was exhausted.
As an Italian tourist I really enjoyed the tour I took today. We were accompanied throughout the day by Kamil, a very professional, kind, and friendly driver. He took us to many places according to the tour itinerary, explaining in detail everything we needed to know about Zakopane and its curiosities. He was also very kind in giving us advice about places and restaurants where we could eat during the lunch break. A truly wonderful experience, I highly recommend it to everyone — especially with a driver like Kamil! 🫶🏻
The Zakopane tour was fantastic. The views were breathtaking, and the guide was friendly, kind, and very informative. All questions were welcomed throughout the trip. We visited picturesque spots, enjoyed vodka and cheese tasting, explored different shops, and had a fun experience on the funicular ride.
Mirek was a fantastic tour guide. He gave us interesting insights about the culture in Zakopane and the surrounding areas, and kept the group laughing and having a very enjoyable tour. He connected with all ages and is a very professional tour guide. We are very thankful for all of his wonderful suggestions on our tour and also for Krakow in general. We highly recommend this tour.
Knowledgeable guide and responsible driver. I enjoyed the trip very much. I would have liked to choose the option with the thermal baths, 4 hours in Zakopane alone is too long.
Firstly Fabian and Jan were fantastic! Fabian was an amazing guide, he was friendly, had excellent knowledge and a great sense of humour. We had a 20 min stop in chocholow to see the wooden houses which was great, this was followed shortly after by a stop to taste the famous smoked cheese and traditional flavoured vodka. There was then plenty of time to explore Zakopane next which had lots of options to eat and try some traditional polish food, we loved the potato cakes and goulash. While there you get a chance to ride up the mountain on the funicular ride and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and Zakopane below. The final stop was the thermal baths which although, was more of a water park than a spa, was still a great experience. Overall the trip lasted around 11 hours and we had a fantastic day.
We had a wonderful day trip with our amazing tour guide Bart.Highly recommend. Not only he is fluent in English but very polite professional and friendly. Bart communicated and confirmed before the trip . He was on time ,well oriented on the road.Very interesting and informative conversation about Polish history and culture.Tasting experience was very pleasant .Such a good manners talking to guests and personnel at the cheese and vodka tasting stop and local house with handmade decorations. Bart told us where to go to Gubałówka ,gave us recommendations for restaurants there and in Zakopane, also what to watch out for . We had a group of five and there was another couple. He included everyone in conversation. Fun trip! Highly recommend.
We booked through Get your Guide, driver and guide Simon was brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Best part of our holiday in Krakow. Scenery in Zakopane was beautiful. Would highly recommend booking with this tour company👌. Door to door pickup and left us safely back at our accommodation. Battery charge.Thank you Simon.
Awersome trip Fabian was a great host and our driver Michael was outstanding. Nice comfy transport and great communication. Highly recommend this trip.
long journey but very pleasant driver. The mountain coach took us to the top where we had a lovely view along with a great meal. There was a market close by that had some handmade bits.
Great day-out, with excellent pre-trip comms from our fab guide Pawel, who was punctual, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Cheese and (plentiful) Vodka tasting of two flavours was excellent. We had lots of time to explore Zakopane. Funicular was good and we would recommend a 40-mins ridge flat walk overlooking the beautiful mountain range to the Butorowy Wierch Chair Lift, suggested by our guide, which was a 20-mins round trip bonus. The ridge top hike included lots of bars and souvenir / food stalls, so there was lots to do on the ridge. We also had time to visit the local Gubalowka brewery and explore the lovely town of Zakopane. Overall an amazing experience.
Absolutely fantastic tour of a stunning city! We were welcomed by our friend tour guide Fabian, on WhatsApp - he greeted us by sending a selfie of him and the bus. Fabian and our driver, Konrad were brilliant and made the trip run really smooth from start to finish. Fabian had a great sense of humour, sharing some local knowledge, tips and advice. He also ensured all the guests were comfortable by ensuring toilet breaks and playing British music. He also played some local highland music and shared some witty insights. We enjoyed a tour of the local of the highland local houses, tasted some local cheese and vodka, visited the city to see the mountains, bobsleighed down the hills, had drinks and lunch and tried some more local food whilst seeing the market stalls before visiting the thermal baths! Our group had an amazing time, thanks to the efficiency and professionalism of the tour guide and driver. Would recommend!
We had a wonderful time on the Zakopane tour. The mountain views, wooden houses, and charming streets made it a truly beautiful place to visit. Our tour guide was excellent very friendly, helpful, and full of knowledge about the area and its history. Everything was well organized, and we enjoyed every moment of the trip. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Poland.
Great views, great service and information from the staff, Fabian and Konrad, I would highly recommend to family’s with children old enough to appreciate the views
Excellent tour Professional guide Excellent place Highly recommend Reasonable price Good vehicle Good planned time-line
We had a fabulous trip with Pawel. He us an excellent guide very knowledgeable. We enjoyed a visit to Chocholow and heard about the tradition to scrub clean the wooden homes. We then tasted regional cheese and vodka. In Zakopane we took the funicular and had a coffee with the most amazing mountain view .. breathtaking. We had time for a relaxed lunch abd a walk around the tourist city before being carefully driven back to our hotel. Would highly recommend.
Had a fabulous one day trip to Zakopane with driver Pawel today.Weather excellent but what made our day was the punctuality, excellent information, lack of urgency and sense of humour of our driver Pawel.
From the start of our day,our guide , Pawel was extremly helpull..verry informative a clear throught the day.plus he gave us so much extra information on krakow...places to eat and visit .would not hesitate to book again
Had a wonderful day today perfect weather and an amazing trip Fabian was a fantastic host he kept us informed along each step of the journey. He was so lovely and an absolutely genuine person. He took the time to chat to us and made the trip extra special. Also a big thank you to Slawec our driver for keeping us safe along the way
