The temperature in a mine is 16-17 C (60-63 F) please consider that when choosing your clothing. Wear comfortable shoes. The route is 3,5km (2.2 miles) long and there will be 800 steps – most of them down. We can start a trip any time you want. Guides are speaking; English, Polish, German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Russian. After the whole event, you can decide where you want to be dropped off.
Worked very well. Driver was prompt and ensured we were there in good time for the tour. Made sure we knew exactly where to queue and where to meet him afterwards. Left his number with us and took care of our luggage while we did the tour. Really convenient that he dropped us off directly at the train station. The tour itself was very well done, very interesting and informative.

This was a great tour! Easy to connect with the driver on a very nice van for the drive from Krakow. Knowledgeable driver and easy to communicate with on what's app and good English! Easy drop off with tickets pre purchased so all we had to do was get to the assembly point to go into the mine. We got to the exit point at the different location and he found us easily. Highly recommend. The salt mine type itself was very informative and interesting, glad we saw it! The chocolates, cooking salts and bath sales were also great giftables!
My wife and I met Hubert at Krakow airport by chance on arrival when looking for an airport taxi. On route to our hotel and on enquiry about our trip, Hubert provided us with excellent recommendations around Krakow and also recommended the salt mine as part of our final day (due to an evening flight). Hubert met us at our hotel on the day, took us to the mines and then subsequently took us to the airport after the tour. He kept our bags safe in the van while we toured the mines. Hubert seamlessly organised earlier access to the mines when we were slightly early for our own pre-booked slot. I cannot rate him highly enough and would seriously recommend this service if you’re looking for a top class service at a very great price! You won’t be disappointed!
We booked this trip very last minute. Hubert our driver picked us up on time and even managed to get us in earlier than our scheduled slot which helped us out massively as we were on a tight time schedule due to flying home later on in the day. The tour was brilliant, vey informative and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour especially with the private transfer as this made the trip seamless. The tour was easy to arrange, considering we only booked it the day before, we got the time that was convenient for us. The transfer from the hotel was comfortable. we had to wait about 15 minutes after getting out from the mine to get the transfer back, but this wasn't an issue for us. We got dropped off at our chosen location. Overall great experience. Thank you.
Tomaz was fantastic, on time and likes to tell you about the city as you go past things, he parked the mini bus and walked us to the entrance and showed us the line for the english tour! Highly recommended

Our trip to the salt mines was the epitome of stress free travel. Hubert, our driver, arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). We were picked up at our hotel. We chatted on the way to the salt mines, filling us in on life in Poland. When we arrived, Hubert walked us to the line for our tour (it can be a little confusing, lots of people waiting around for the tours). When the tour was over, Hubert was waiting for us. He dropped us off at the airport afterwards. Hubert was very nice, considerate, helpful, punctual, and all around pleasure to be with. Since we had our luggage with us as we were heading to the airport directly after the tour, the extra cost was definitely worth it. I very highly recommend this tour.
We booked a private transfer for two to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. Our driver met us promptly in the hotel lobby and immediately made us feel welcome. The vehicle was spotless, warm, and very comfortable — a perfect start to the day. He drove us directly to the Salt Mine entrance, handled all the arrangements, and made everything completely effortless for us. He explained the entire process clearly, including what to expect inside and how the tour works. He also made sure we knew that, as the tours sometimes finish at a different exit point, we could simply call him and he’d come to meet us there — very reassuring and professional. Our driver was genuinely one of the friendliest and most helpful people we met during our stay in Kraków. He gave us some fantastic recommendations for restaurants, places to visit, and other things to experience during the rest of our trip. He was so kind and accommodating that we actually decided to book our airport transfer with him before we left — which was also very competitively priced and equally reliable. The tour itself at the Wieliczka Salt Mine was absolutely fascinating — a truly beautiful and unique place, full of history, artistry, and wonder. The carvings, chapels, and underground chambers were breathtaking, and our guide was informative and engaging throughout. One small downside, however, was the audio equipment used during the tour. Instead of modern headphones, they provide a single, rather old-fashioned earpiece for one ear only, which was quite uncomfortable and often cut out for several people in our group. It really should be upgraded to something more modern. If you have your own wired earphones (with an aux fitting), I would definitely recommend bringing them along, as they can be used with the system. Overall, this was an excellent experience — from the private transfer to the tour itself. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt well cared for the entire time. The combination of professionalism, warmth, and efficiency made this one of the highlights of our visit to Kraków. Highly recommended!
The salt mine is a wonder of the world. It is a definite MUST-SEE in any visit to the Krakow area. Having the convenience of our own transportation instead of coping with the crowds on trains or buses made it all the more worthwhile. It was very useful to have a driver who picked us up at the hotel, then dropped us off at the mine and picked us up at a mine exit quite distant from the entrance where he had dropped us off. Robert was a great driver, and told us a lot of very interesting things about the region and about life in Poland. One note for travelers is that not all the salt mine is open to travelers with disabilities. Also, there are no "private" tours. Travelers are divided into groups of thirty, and you must keep going as a group, led by a guide from the mine. It involves going down fifteen flights of stairs (which are very sturdy). Once you start going down, stopping is not going to be easy. The lift/elevator at the end is breathtakingly fast. Overall, a great experience with a fascinating subject.
When they say private tour they mean private! Only the 3 of us compared to the previous day “private” tour to auschwitz that had 9 people crammed into a 9 passenger van with 9 very uncomfortable people. So happy with the brilliant service we used them to reliably take us to the airport @ 03:30! So knowledgeable pointing out interesting buildings & history on the way

Great communication prior to the trip, including them coordinating the limited mobility tour once we realized the usual tour would not be suitable for my Mom. This was a great tour. Our driver, Tomasz, picked us up on time at our hotel and gave us a wonderful tour of the highlights on the way to the salt mine. He also walked us over to where we needed to get in line for our tour and was waiting for us when we got done. Thank you, Tomasz! The salt mine tour is amazing. The statues and wall carvings are beautiful. I especially loved the grand chapel in which everything was made from salt. It was breathtaking and definitely worth seeing. My only negative is that the tour groups are too large & move too quickly. We found ourselves at the back of the group so by the time we got to see what the guide was describing, the group had moved on and we had to hurry to catch up. Also, as other reviews have mentioned, the stairs down to the mine can be a challenge for some. However, I am very happy that we did this tour & highly recommended it.

Hubert was a amazing mini bus driver, he was so friendly and always on time. He booked us a Auschwitz trip and a trip to the salt mines, he got us them cheaper too, he even offered us beer, wine or water when he picked us up. We will be back to Krakow and definitely give Hubert a ring. 👍🏻

My parents, my 6 month old baby, my wife and I had a long weekend in beautiful Krakow in mid December. We was standing in an unusual long taxi line, when we first met Tomas. During our trip to city centrum and our hotel, he gave us several tips and facts about the history of Krakow and its popular sites to visit. We where lucky that he offers such services aswell. He brought us safe around the city, to the Auschwitz and salt mines. He was on time, trustworthy, kind and full of knowledge. He even brought his own private childseat for our safety on our longer drives. In short, we can highly recommend his services! Excellent service from My Krakow Driver! We went to Wieliczka Salt Mine which was stunning. Thomas booked tickets for us in advance so we didn’t have to queue. He arrived on time. As a family of four it is important to travel comfortably. The car was clean and spacious. Thomas was very nice and chatty guy. He looked after all of us. Kids really enjoyed the trip. Thomas dropped us off very close to the main entrance and after the tour was finished he was already waiting for us. The journey back wasn’t long but nice and interesting as Thomas has a big knowledge of local history. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Krakow!!!

We were picked up on time at our hotel. The car was extremely comfortable (a mini van) and clean. The driver was polite, helpful and spoke good English. He drove us to Auschwitz in time for our visit, then drove us to a restaurant for lunch and then to the salt mines. Highly recommended.
