Excellent, exceeded expectations throughout. Professional and very well marshalled with good transport
Amazing trip to Salt Mine. Has to be seen to believed the size & how fascinating it is! Didn't know what to expect but was amazed at everything. Comfortable shoes is a must as plenty of walking with alot of steps.
Caution!!!! Tour involves hundreds of steps walking down the mine. Not recommended for people with knee issues & fearful of closed spaces. I wished I had known this prior to partaking in this tour.
The enormity of the mines were incredible. Although do wear good shoes as there's lots of walking. The guides really bring the story of the mine and the people that worked there to life!
Samanta gave us the tour and she was fantastic! Very witty and well spoken, gave us all a good laugh while explaining everything very clearly! She deserves a raise! The Salt Mines are beautiful, better than the pictures for sure!
Very expensive for what amounted to a taxi to the salt mines and back and a pre bought ticket for the normal tour of the mines. Much cheaper to buy your own ticket at the mines or on line and then arrange your own taxi or cheaper still use public transport. Would not recommend
What you're paying for, essentially, is the peace of mind of having the transport to and from the mine handled for you, from a central location in Kraków. If you're on a budget, might be better to use public transport. The vist to the mine itself is pretty cool though, definitely recommended.
The tour in the salt mine is great. But krakville only provide the trip and the tickets. No added value from the driver who seems to prefer to listen to his polish radio than talking to his customer. It's basically a pick-up and delivery service. If you want to save 100 Zl / pers, take the public transport.
The tour is great unfortunately the Krakville Tours failed in follow the covid rules. Although the diver ask to the person in the car (!) to use the mask they refused and that was it. It is said that people can't be minimal polite, but it is still Krakville responsability guaranteed that the safe regulations will be followed during its tours.
This was our second trip with the company, having had a disappointing experience previously we were a bit dubious. However this tour couldn't have been any better, the upbeat female guide, the driver, the organisation & the whole experience. Once at the Salt Mines we were given headsets & met our exceptionally informative guide for the duration of the tour, she was humorous, approachable & seemed to be so proud of her job. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Poland.
Had been to a salt mine previously. But this one near Krakow is in a different league, it is huge and the sculptures that have been produced are fantastic making the entire mine an outstanding and fasinating tour. We were lucky to have a guide whose Father had worked the mine for many year's. The whole trip was carried out on time and all the organisation from the tour operator was first class! Highly recommended.
Very cool place! Bus takes you to the mine and you have a tour guide from the mine. There are many stairs to climb down into the mine. They are easy to climb as they are spacious and the temperature is cool. There are 3 floors you will visit, but the stairs are not hard to navigate. There is a lift that takes you back up to the exit..I wish we had more time to shop for souvenirs. There is very limited time so we were unable to purchase any inside.
Great Company. Did what they said they would - got us to and from the mines and arranged the tour. The mines themselves are simply inconceivable and must be seen. Great morning out had by all.
The tour company itself was extremely disorganized to start with, specifically the whole bus boarding process where people were pushing and shoving to get on. I suffer from motion sickness so it was important to me that I was atleast near the front of the bus, however, the guide did not care about this or help me at all after telling her... the only response I got was "There are no reservations on the bus".... this was really stressful for me. Once we got to the saltmines things were a lot better because someone from the mine actually guides you around and the whole experience is fantastic! Definitely worth visiting the saltmines! There are 800 steps down total but it does not feel like it and dont worry there is an escalator back up! The mine was also suprisingly spacious and breathable! The carvings are just incredbile and unbelievable! They charge 10 zl to take pictures in the mine which can be purchased before or during, it is up to you. I would definitely visit the saltmines again, except I would probably just arrange my own transportation next time as the tour of the mine is included in your entrance ticket anyway (only way to see the mines).
Krakville Tours was recommended by our Airbnb host and we weren't disappointed Taken to the Salt Mine in a nice mini bus which is 20 minute drive from Krakow so is close by. The Tour guide at the mine, Kristina was excellent being very knowledgeable and with good humour. Some amazing sights and very memorable.Thank you.
Before coming we had read a few reviews stating that some of the tour guides were slightly dull or had 0 interest in life let alone their jobs so we were a little worried it wouldnt be that good. Thomas however was AMAZING! He added a little drama to the whole tour and it was really interesting - even tried to make us lick the walls a few times! Well worth seeing!!
Took a tour to the salt mines with krakville tours and it was great. We met at the krakville tour cabin where we purchased our tickets and walked for about 2 minutes to get our bus. Bus dropped us at our destination and we had a guided tour around the salt mines. Then we headed back to the bus and we returned to krakow. We left at 8.45am and we arrived back to krakow at 12.30pm. Overall - well worth booking with krakville. Staff very helpful.
This was a great way to spend 4 hours when visiting Krakow. The tour was very interesting and the sculptures were very impressive.
Used Krakville Tours for our trip to the Wieliczka Salt mine. One of their offices was situated along the walk from our apartment to the main square. As if by fate, we had been discussing a trip to the salt mine as we walked past. We were approached by a friendly member of staff, and handed a leaflet, no hard sell. We had planned on making our own way via train to the mine, then joining a tour group there. For the price, we decided to use the tour operator. Krakville tours was 139PLN pp (£28 pp at time of trip), ticket at the mine was 89PLN pp plus 7PLN pp (3.5PLN each way) train fare. We paid 86PLN (£17) for the convenience of being driven. The only draw back was that we had to meet at 8.45am. We got up a bit earlier, and managed to find somewhere for breakfast even though it was a Sunday. Although, by the time we got back, we still had the whole afternoon. We met at the office on Mikołajska for 8.45am, then at 9am a short 5min walk to another office on Sienna where the minibuses were parked. Approx half hour journey, had time to nip toilet and get a bottle of water before our tour. Tour is by a mine guide, not from the tour operator. Once your tour is over you do have to go more or less go straight back to minibus. Time for a quick toilet break, but not anything to eat. Friendly staff, comfy vehicles, safe driver. Would recommend.
We had a great visit to Wieliczka Salt Mine! Camille was a great driver! The tour lasted a bit less than expected, but overall, a wonderful experience!
I think that Krakville tours is one of the cheapest choices. I booked a place for Wieliczka Salt mine which really impressed me.During my visit, we didn't encounter any problems. We didn't wait for a long time to enter the place even though it was Saturday. Our tour leader Igor was really polite and he waited for us all the time and he made sure we didn't need anything. The tour guide was really friendly and informative.
A great day and good value, the driver Chris helpful, our host Zofis lovely lady, kind, helpful, very professional. the tour is four hour from end to end. at each stage you are give time to rest and adjust to the under ground pressure and temperature (14 to 18c. The total walk is 3Km and 800 steps in total, stage one waking from the surface down too first level is 300 steps, our tour host explained at each stage the history of the mines, and there are many displays along the way. Krakow, was cheap, to dine out, love people, New airport, and direct train into city centre, ( there six stations check to make sure you are getting off on the correct one. They use gl after the main centre stop which will be at the large shopping mall of 250 shops, Are hotel QUBUS was at the next stop after Krakow Gl on the river bank, tweny mins walk to old town. great hotel.
We booked our salt mine tour at a kiosk near main square. We walked by it numerous times a day and the prices seemed competitive. Start of tour was punctual and transport was clean and efficient. The tour lead was this most fantastically bossy young lady, who bossed us around loudly ordering us to 'drink more water, not coke.' she needed to be as the group was very large. Once at Salt mines we were quickly organised and sped through the queues. On inside our guide was fantastic and mines beautiful. All in all a great tour, we priced and organised by Krakville, well done.
Great attraction and well worth a visit. We travelled with Krakville tours who were very professional and easy to use. We were transported to the salt mine where we met an official mine tour guide who took us round and provided lots of interesting information. A slightly longer break at the end of the tour would have been beneficial to allow a visit to the mine cafe however overall the tour was great.
Salt mine tour was very good and well organised . we were given headphones and radio sets which I could hear clearly and found it very informative, Our tour guide was excellent Joanna I think, very clear easy to listen to voice with just the right amount of light hearted humour.
Tour was smooth, no legitimate problems. The transport might not be first class seating but for the student prices I got, I saw extremely satisfied. This company brings you to and from the place of interest, pays for your ticket and gets you a guide. The guides that we got with this tour was perfect. Usually I really dislike following along as someone gives you information overload, but in this case I was pleasantly surprised I actually preferred it. They were professional, spoke perfect English, were direct and straight to the point, knew how to give bite size information and made the experience interesting with their witty one liners. Perhaps we were lucky, or perhaps most guides in Krakow/Poland are good but all in all I was extremely please. If I had a choice I would've booked ALL my tours with this agency. FYI, I booked the Auschwitz and Salt Mines tour with this company only. Book this tour if you don't mind affordable but a good experience. Do not book if you expect to be pampered. My photos are a mixture of both tours.
We noticed the Krakville tourist office in the Old Town and a quick google search showed great reviews. We booked a trip to the Salt Mines for the next morning with student discount for my two daughters. (ID required for them) Everything was efficicient and well orgainsed. We had to meet at the office at !0.15 and were led to a huge coach which was extremely clean and comfortable. Our driver was very funny with a wicked sense of humour. At the mines we were handed over to our fantastic guide and the visit was one that should not be missed by anyone visiting krakow. They also do other tours and I would definitely use Krakville again.
We had researched the tours we wanted to make Auschwitz for my husband and the Wieliczka Salt Mine for both of us. We had gone to the local Tourist office and several other Tour operators who were very expensive, and then on our way back to our hotel we found the little green booth of Krakville Tours. The person in charge was very laid back and very funny ( amusing I mean!). We ended up booking both tours with him. My husband said the guide was excellent for Auschwitz, and the person on the coach for the Salt Mines was also great with a good sense of humour. He handed us over to a most brilliant guide for the Salt Mines - not sure if his name was Mateuz or not but he was terrific. I would thoroughly recommend this company as they were efficient and very good value for money.
I used Krakvilke tours many years ago to visit Auschwitz and Salt mines, i recall it being a most organised and enjoyable experience. This time I returned to Krakow with my son and had to take him to Auschwitz as i believe everyone needs to realise the horrors of what took place there during WWII. Luckily i had taken photos last time, krakville tours had given us a sticker with the company name on to attach to our jackets, so i promptly looked them up online. Before leaving the UK, i had investigated booking the Auschwitz trip with our hotel and other companies that are prominent on an internet search. Most pick up from the hotel. Krakville, which is a small family tour company asks you to meet at their office just off the main square, not a big deal. For this concession the price is roughly half what you would pay with other tour companies. Their vehicles are new mercedes mini buses, very comfortable for the 1.5 hour trip to Auschwitz. The staff, from sales to driver are very friendly and professional, making sure that everyone is informed and are excellent at noticing anyone who looks a bit lost. Their idea of putting a sticker on your jacket is great, as you can imagine Auschwitz is a busy place, the Krakville guides can instantly recognise their clients. We paid 99 zloty for an adult and 75 zloty for a child. I booked it on their website before leaving for Poland, they asked for 10% deposit payable through paypal. Their website is a bit clunky but after some trial and error i got the two items in the basket. I didnt recieve a confirmation but after an email i got a quick response asking me to pay the balance either the day before or 25 minutes before leaving on the trip. As a small company, very competitively priced i would advise people to book online before leaving for Krakow, i would imagine that during peak periods they would become fully booked quickly. Very enjoyable experience and wouldnt use any one else in Krakow for a tour.
We did two trips with Krakville Tours, one to the Salt Mines and one to Auschwitz. Both times we arrived 15 minutes before departure time, as did everybody else, and we departed on time. Once arriving at each site, we was told to wait 15 miniutes while they sorted the guide out for the torus. Once the tours where finished Krakville Tours was waiting for us guided us back to the mini van and we arrived back into the centre of Krakow. Very good tour company, would use them again and recommended them to anyone!
My brother and I went to the Wieliczka Salt Mine on 18.10.15 with this tour company and I have to say it was fantastic. The trip cost us 109 Zloty each (which equates to around £19 if you're English). For this we got picked up from the tour office which was located roughly 2-3 minutes walk from our hotel and transported to the Salt Mine in an 8 seater mini-van which was surprisingly comfortable for the 30 minute journey. At the Salt Mine entrance was included in the price and we were also provided with an English speaking tour guide who communicated to us through headsets. There we were given a full tour of the Salt Mine before being picked up again by mini-van and transported back to the tour office. For this price I thought it was excellent value for money considering what was provided. If I was due to visit Krakow and wanted to book a tour, I recommend this tour company to do so with. It was cheaper than the official tourist office and our hotel. I enjoyed the service from this tour company so much that I also booked Auschwitz for the day after.
Everything about the trip to Auschwitz was very good - Driver, time schedule, guide at Auschwitz, film on coach. Definitely worth the trip. Not such a good experience for Wieliczka Salt Mines, tour group was too large, therefore took too long, coach did not arrive for everyone to go home, no information from the driver. Disappointing.
As 4 young colleagues spending two weeks for training in Krakow, we took a tour to the famous Salt Mine with Krakville Tours. Both the place and the tour guide service was awesome! Everything on time, very well-organized, and our guide Sebastian is one of the most helpful and fun people in the world - very good sense of humor, his jokes made the experience even more wonderful!
Great price for the Auschwitz tour we booked in person when in Krakow as previously advise to do so by a friend, 99PLN each (less than £20) which included transport to and from Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II and back to Krakow. The bus driver was lovely and very helpful, they show you a very informative video on route to Auschwitz to 'refresh your memory' on arrival the bus driver walked us to the front and introduced us to our tour guide. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative, it was very clear how passionate he was on the subject and showed great respect through out. It was good to see how busy it was and how much people are still remembering such a tragic event in our history. I recommend taking your own packed lunch, you get various 15 minute breaks during the day so it's handy to have your own sandwiches packed .. it's a long day about 6-7 hours. Great tour guides and very well run, you leave Krakow at 10.00am and get back about 16.30/17.00pm. If we had more time in Krakow we definitely would have booked to do the Salt Mines trip with Krakville as well.
We stayed in Krakow for three days and did two trips with Krakville tours, one to both Auschwitz camps and the other to the Salt Mines. The trip to Auschwitz was one to remember, we got picked up on time, taken straight to Auschwitz 1 and started the tour straight away without having to queue or wait around. Our tour guide was fantastic and that is why we have rated the experience as excellent, she was knowledgeable, passionate and prompted us all to use our imaginations while walking through the camps. The whole tour took approximately four hours, it was well organised with lots of groups having tours and was a good price for the experience. The same can be said about the Salt Mines. It was a good price, very worthwhile experience, we would definitely recommend booking through this company.
Krakville Tours are a fantastic, friendly and reliable tour company. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the tours we went on and highly recommend them for the efforts they go to provide an amazing experience for there customers. We went on the Auschwitz- Birkenhau tour, the Wieliczka Salt Mines and on the Schindler's trail. Our lovely tour guide who went above and beyond to get my Mum and I to the Podziemia Rynku underground archaeology museum before it shut (under Krakow's Cloth Market). He recommended that we visited before we left (as I am very interested in archaeology) and he rang around to find when it shut and got us there just in time! Thanks to them we managed to pack so much into our four day break and do and see all that we wanted to and more! We were so impressed with this company we used them to organise our transfer to the airport and will use them again when we return and perhaps even book one of their apartments!
Krakville tours is a good tourist agency that will help you to visit some of the most beautiful and important places in Poland. The price was reasonable and very good as it includes: the transfer from Krakow (around 20 to 30 minutes) and the tour with experienced guides. The staff are kind and willing to help!
well organized and good information along the way. skilled guide in the salt mines. some waiting but not bothering.
We relied on them for the Salt Mines Tour, on time for the start, the guide Caroline was very nice during the short bus ride. Once we arrived we took a toilet break and then they let us in immediately with little waiting. From there continued one of the guides of the Mines, beautiful and interesting trip, I highly recommend! Departure for the return slightly late because of the tour inside the mines, but nothing serious. We enjoyed it very much, we also booked from them the Folk Show and Auschwitz!
