Excellent tour with Kristov! He went at a great pace and explained the history and the culture in an interesting manner. He also gave us suggestions on highlights to go back to on our own …we did the trumpeters tower and got a picture with the trumpeter and also the bell tower the next day… these were highlights!! He gave wonderful recommendations for dinners and bars as well! We definitely would use him again on another tour.

Good and extensive tour. It guide was very knowledgeable about the city and it's history. You cover a lot of ground on this tour so your kept moving. Understand that while you will visit the outside of the Castle, you won't tour the inside.

I really enjoyed the three hour walking tour with Kris. He knows the history and culture of Krakow well, and is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. We walked at a good pace. This was an excellent introduction to the old town of Krakow and Wawel Hill. I’d recommend the experience!

Joanna was an excellent tour guide. She met us at our Airbnb and took us through old town and the castle. She was very entertaining with both true history and folklore. We saw all of the primary sights and some only a native would know. Joanna spoke english very well and was very open to our questions and comments. This was an ideal way to start our Krakow vacation. This walking tour was a really exceptional way to understand the Krakow old town and learn its history. We learned a plethora of interesting information and if you want to get a grasp of Krakow and its historical culture you must take this tour.

I used withlocals.com to find a great guide, Bartek, for a 3-hour culture and history walking tour of Krakow. For me, it was worth it to be able to ask questions and develop some understanding of Poland and Krakow rather than hear a predigested recitation of facts without a narrative, like on the group tour of the Wawel I took earlier. The solo tour cost only 4x what I paid to be one of 23 connected to the guide by an audio headphone speaker. Bartek was very attentive, gracious, informative, and warm. The perfect guide for a visitor who wants to at least begin to understand Poland and Krakow, both historically and in the present. I felt like I really engaged. During a brief coffee break I requested we wound up sharing pictures of family toddlers. I’d hire Bartek again on a future visit and recommend him highly.

Super guide with a deep knowledge and passion for his city.

My colleague and I were only in Krakow for a short period of time, and this private tour was the perfect way to get a really good overview of the city. Chris met us on time at our hotel and was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions. He gave us a really interesting overview of the history of Krakow and Poland, with lots of fascinating tidbits along the way. The tour was nicely paced, although there was an overwhelming amount of information to take in! Highly recommend.

Took an evening tour as an introductory tour of our visit to Krakow! Chris was very accommodative and agreed to pick us up from our hotel a bit earlier than our scheduled booking... My wife and I did the half day Old Town and Wawel Castle Private Tour as well as a couple other tours with Chris and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He's a wealth of knowledge about Krakow, Poland and Polish Jewish history, not to mention his own interesting family story. He paced his walks quite well, was always on time, easy going, patient with our many questions and easy to understand. We were grateful for his perfect English as we knew zero Polish. His prices were quite fair. We would happily use Chris again and we highly recommend him.

Fantastic! Chris was incredibly knowledgeable about Kraków and all of the sites. He answered our questions and really created a wonderfully informative tour. Loved his energy and how enthusiastic he was about sharing the history of Poland. We saw many churches, learned about Copernicus, Pope John Paul II, artist Jan Matejko, and so much more. We did a 3 hour private tour as a family with 2 teenagers and had a great introduction to the historical area in Old Town Krakow. Our guide Chris was very patient with us and allowed us to stop for bathroom breaks, to buy some local treats, and gave us advice on some local restaurants and museums to check out to further our experience. He shared much of the history and culture of Krakow and answered our questions about how things have changed over time since the end of Communism. This was a great way to start our trip to Poland and Krakow, specifically. I would highly recommend this tour for a small group seeking individualized attention and to learn history.
