Krakow: Zakopane Tour With Cable Car, Cheese & Vodka Tasting

Great little trip, left at 9 arrived about 5pm. Visited a little village, cheese and cherry vodka tasting, Zacopane, ski slope and old church. The little market was great, not a massive fan of the cheese, Great food up the main street, should have really went for longer to explore

Overall good experience. The driver was also the guide. Our was a small van. It was disappointing that they decided to add thermal baths for additional cost and even though it was an option we had to drive back through around to pick the people up that decided to go to the baths. They were plenty of other tours that offered the baths. Why pick the one that didn’t and then make it harder on the people that wanted the tour without? Over all we had a great time. I loved the mountain and chapel and even enjoyed the ski jumps more than I thought I would. The driver/guide was very helpful and eager to please. I wish he would talk a little more about history or nature or any facts about the places we were visiting.

Very convient way to visit the beautiful area of Zacopane and get some insight into the history and culture. Driver was prompt and took time to explain every stop. Great experience and worth it 100%!

Adrian was a great guide! Pity about the weather on the day we visited, but we still had a fun day out visiting Chochołów, the wooden chapel and just walking the streets of Krupówki. WhatsApp communication was seamless and pickup was a breeze - the main reason I wanted to go for a tour instead of visiting on my own. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time on this trip. "Pablo" (He said it's an Anglesized version of his real name) was a great guide. He thoroughly explained all of the sights, and he gave fabulous recommendations for places to visit and eat at Zakopane.

Refreshing get away from the bustle of the city. The scenery was so beautiful, the houses were so charming and our guide was just amazing. What an amazing place Zakopane is!

Magda, our guide, was full of information and a great resource for the history of the region. Her stories about the past were very entertaining and explained history with humor. She was a super communicator. She made sure meeting times were clear, and she gave recommendations for lunch places etc. Martin was a great driver, too. Just be aware that at each stop, when you get off the bus, you're on your own - no guide till you're back on the bus.

We highly recommend this trip, the whole day is packed with amazing sightseeing and activities with a great host, Adam. It was great value and Adam went above and beyond to ensure the trip was engaging and informative. We particularly appreciate his recommendations for lunch and night life in Krakow.

Thomas was very welcoming and informative. Very nice small group (7 in total) made it much more personal. Like the smoked cheese and vodka even though I am not a big cheese eater.

We were picked up from our hotel by Dawid. Very friendly and informative driver and guide. It was a lovely day at Zakopane and we enjoyed the cheese and vodka tasting and the breathtakingly beautiful scenery. I loved the trip up Gubalowka Hill by Cable car and we were lucky that it was a clear day so we could see the Tatra mountains. Would definitely recommend this trip. We did not do the thermal baths due to health reasons but I know many others have said it is a very wonderful experience.

So much too touristy for us. The PICKUP was good and the person who accompanied us was charming; however, I would speak of a driver-host and not a guide. The VEHICLE was disappointing... a simple 9-passenger taxi van with triple bench seats. INFORMATION - The group was linguistically mixed (English and Polish). The driver spoke in English with the passengers sitting in the front with him and in Polish with those sitting behind him. Being seated on the last bench seat in the back, we were not able to hear the exchanges in English or understand those in Polish. For the TASTING, we were entitled to two pieces of the same cheese, one fresh and the other smoked, and two fingers of sweet aperitif liqueurs that the driver was carrying in the trunk of the van. ANCESTRAL VILLAGE - We enjoyed the visit to the interior of an ancestral house and the architecture of the place. ZAKOPANE - After a four-minute stop to see the ski jumping training facilities, we were dropped off at the foot of the funicular. In three minutes we arrived on a terrace offering a very beautiful view of the mountains. The rest is a huge tourist trap. The space is hemmed in by a succession of stalls selling souvenirs and fast food. Nothing else to see. SELF-GUIDED TOUR - At the bottom of the mountain, same scenario, a main street congested with restaurants, souvenir shops, breweries and terraces… no magic, no vibes. We finally undertook a detour into a quiet residential area, it was the best moment of the day. The RETURN went smoothly. Notice to sensitive people, the driver was driving fast, cheerfully exceeding the speed limit, according to my GPS, by 30, or even 35 km/h over the permitted speed limit. Clearly, this was not a visit for us.

Best not to book. The pickup service was perfect and the driver drove well and safely. The place Zakopane was disappointing and did not meet our expectations in any way. Comparable to a fair. Pure tasteless nap. The driver took us well from station to station but unfortunately passed on insufficient information. Any further comments on this day trip are superfluous. The last point indicated the spas were not mentioned.

The excursion was fun and diverse. Especially the tasting of cheese and vodka was nice. The thermal baths were lovely but very busy. Luckily there is an adult section where it is quiet. The tour guide Natalia was very enthusiastic and had humor. Did her best!

La excursión es muy linda y el guía chofer encantador por eso le puse 5 estrellas. Pero sugiero repartir el tiempo mejor, demasiado 3 horas en Zacopane y pocos minutos en las otras paradas que son muy bonitas y a penas dan tiempo para unas pocos fotos malas. 3 horas en Zacopane y con tanto frío es un exceso. Podríamos haber parado a tomar un café o un vino caliente en algún pueblito y habría tenido más encanto,
