Itinerary
Your tour will begin with transport from Krakow to Zakopane Town. Pickup by car or minivan from a pre-determined place (hotel or other place that you choose) at a specified date and time. Transport takes about 2 hours.
A trip to Zakopane is a full-day trip lasting with transport around 9 to 10 hours. As part of the trip you will visit the most important tourist places of Zakopane, including: the city center, Gubałówka hill with a cable car from which there is a view of the Polish Tatra Mountains, a wooden village where traditional smoked sheep cheese, ski jumps and many other places related to architecture and culture of this part of Poland.
The village of Chochołów is famous for its wooden buildings. The houses in the village look almost identical. It is a tradition in this village to wash houses with soapy water, two pieces of advice a year during Christmas and before Easter.
In the village of Chochołów it will be possible to see the wooden architecture characteristic of this part of Poland. Highlanders - local settlers, produce cheese called "Oscypek" in this region of Poland. It is smoked cheese made from sheep's milk. The wooden houses where this cheese is produced are called "Bacówkach". Thanks to a trip to this place, you will be able to try this cheese with shot of polish vodka, as well as hear about how it is produced.
In Zakopane, you will visit the most popular street Krupówki, which is a peculiar market of the city and its central point. Krupówki street is crowded with tourists who visit shops and go to restaurants located along the street. On this street you can find many traditional highlander items to buy, such as clothes and souvenirs, but also to eat.
One of the main sightseeing points will be a funicular ride up the Gubałówka hill. The bottom station is located at one of the ends of Krupówki Street. After reaching the summit by terrain cable car, you will see beautiful views of Polish Tatra Mountains. There are also various tourist attractions as well as local restaurants, cafes and bars where you will be able to try e.g. mulled wine and relax with a beautiful view.
Terrain cable car ride to the top of the Gubałówka mountain allows a view of the beautiful range of the Polish Tatra Mountains
The Jaszczurówka Chapel is a perfect example of Zakopane's sacred architecture. The wooden building is over 100 years old. As part of the trip, the driver will take you to this place so that you can see this place.
Ski jumping in Zakopane is a long tradition of winter sports. Every year, International Ski Jumping Competition takes place in Zakopane. As part of the trip you will also be able to see this place with your own eyes.
At the end of the full-day sightseeing tour, your driver will drive you back to Krakow.

Bart was very friendly and informative taking care to ensure we had the best experience despite the weather.
What a fantastic trip from start to finish! The weather might not have been on our side, but it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits or spoil what was a brilliant day out. A huge shout-out to our amazing guide, Mateusz (Matt), who was absolutely fantastic! His brilliant sense of humour, friendly personality and enthusiasm made the whole experience even more enjoyable. There were only six of us on the bus, and Matt made sure everyone felt involved throughout the day. He kept us entertained with fascinating history, interesting stories, plenty of laughs and some great banter along the way. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that really made the difference. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, made even better by a first-class guide. We couldn’t have asked for more!
Are guide Kamil was very knowledgeable an really made it a great experience the cheese an cherry vodka was fantastic
Jacob was a wonderful guide. We went to a small village, did a wine and cheese tasting before heading off to Zakopane. Going up the funicular was very cool. Though the top was mostly touristy with a huge crowd, I was able to enjoy the beautiful mountains. Jacob later took us to a place with ski jumps and a place where we can see the mountains in the background. He was very good natured and even taught me a few phrases in Polish.
Excellent trip!! The mountain top resturent had amazing views and food. You will struggle to find food with a better view. But the best bit, Jacob our driver/ guide was simply the best!!!. Promt and very funny and informative. You will not be disapointed! Thank you Jacob!!
A fantastic experience from start to finish. Casper was an outstanding tour guide - very personable, full of personal stories about growing up in Poland as well as related to the areas we were visiting, and a genuine love for meeting people and showing off his great country. The variety of places we visited, time spent in each location, and overall efficiency of the day were excellent and we enjoyed everything immensely. Thank you!
Great trip - we walked down from the top of the funicular - lovely walk - loved the sheeps cheese and cherry vodka tasting
Great trip seeing all the main sites of Zakopane. Door to door service picking us up from our hotel. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide Syzmon. Would recommend.
The driver was incredibly helpful. The trip made for a full day of sightseeing. Chocolow was a cute short stop with a great bite of grilled smoked cheese. We did a short stop at an interesting small wooden church outside of Zakopane. The mountains were beautiful and we had time for a nice lunch in the ski village.
Interesting Nice place 👌 Lovely area Guide very helpful Timings exactly All in all a lovely day out
Had a fabulous day with Milo in Zakopane, what a great guide, so friendly and knowledgeable . Would definitely recommend this trip
Amazing. Couldn’t fault a single thing. If you are in Poland you really need to visit. Big shout out to our guide Dawid. So informative and a lovely guy.
Our guide was Milo, who arrived right on time to pick us up from the hotel. We were a group of eight, and the tour included cheese and vodka tastings as well as cable car tickets, which was great value. The tour was relaxed and enjoyable, with beautiful scenery throughout. Milo was cool, sweet and easy to get along with, making the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a lovely, relaxed experience!
Exellent guide, clearly very knowledgable about the area Met some great people on the trip, view were amazing
Our driver & guide Milo was prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We had a great time on our tour with him. I highly recommend Viator and Milo!
The tour was amazing, everything from Chochołów, Zakopane, to the Tatra Mountains are great. Our tour guide, Kacperro, made the experience especially interesting, including the ride to and from. I went solo with 7 other people in the tour group, and it lasted a day. There's a spot where Kacperro took us where we could see an amazing vista of the Tatra Mountains. You should definitely book this tour!
When in Krakow you must visit the mountain great scenery lots to see And do bars restaurant shops or just relax and view the mountains At your own leisure
A first class tour from start to finish great communication and friendly staff. Kacper our driver was the ultimate tour guide and nothing was to much trouble.
The transport took roughly 1.5hrs each way (departing Krakow), to and from Zakopane. My guide, Kacper, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He was a great driver too! The weather on this day (Tuesday 29th September) was perfect so you could see the mountains and take in the surroundings. Went on the cable car which is a must on this trip as the views are stunning. Make sure you check the weather before you go - it has to be a sunny clear day otherwise I feel it would be a wasted trip tbh. The other stops Kacper made gave a great insight into life in Zakopane region. Any question you asked of him, he knew the answer. Had 3 hours to wander Zakopane myself and get some lunch. Kacper recommended a few spots and I chose Goralski Brower. It had very nice views of the mountains although what I chose to eat, the broth with noodles, was disappointing. But the Aperol spritz made up for it! In all honesty, I wish I’d have stayed overnight in this region so I could have explored a lot more and maybe ventured a little further up the mountains. If you get the chance to do this, I think it would be worth it.
Great trip to a mountain ski village. Plenty of shops and restaurants with beautiful views. Jacob our guide was very good!
Its a great journey to the mountains but dissapointing upon arrival. The described cable car is a vehicular rail car which transports you up a short mountain, within no time at all the veiwing area has a coffee shop serving lite refreshments, toilets ang a children's fair ground area and markets stalls selling tourist goods. The ride down is again short, leades you ia tourist market area leading to the small town again selling lots of cheap tourist goods busy cafes and restaurants with little veiw of the mountains I had come to see and experiance iwas extremely disopointed realising we had a return jorney of 2vhours to waste in the back of a mini bus
Knowledgeable tour guide who made the 1hr+ ride to and from Zakopane interesting and fun. Anyone taking this tour should spend minimal time walking the merchant shops at the top of the mountain and instead spend more time on Krupówki street.
Great experience to zakopane. The guide Jacob extremely welcoming and had a lot of interesting information to share. Zakopane very nice place and had fun with our tour guide definitely recommend
Great experience with beautiful views. Casper was very friendly and informative would definitely recomend book early tho.
Fantastic experience from start to finish and our guide Oskar was great ❤️
Matthew was our driver/guide he was excellent!! He kept us informed and made the trip fun! He answered questions along the way. Gave history and pointed out highlights. He made sure that all the passengers got to see what they wanted to and spend the most time on the things we wanted to. It is very challenging to be able to take a group of adults with their different personalities and make everyone feel special and happy. He did it with style and grace. I would recommend this tour especially if Matthew is the guide.
We were picked up by our our guide, Gabriel from our hotel in the morning. It was a wonderful day with plenty of stops along the way. The mini bus was very comfortable and he was very knowledgeable even when there was 4 different languages asking him!
I had a wonderful experience on the Krakow–Zakopane tour, and I would definitely recommend it! Our tour guide, Jacob, was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were picked up directly from our hotel, which made everything very convenient. Throughout the tour, Jacob explained the history and background of the places we visited, and he made the experience really enjoyable. The views were absolutely beautiful, especially in Zakopane. The entire tour takes around eight hours, so it is a full day, but it goes by quickly because there is so much to see and enjoy. My only wish is that we had a little more time to explore and walk around Zakopane. There were so many beautiful areas and things to see, and I felt that the three hours we had there went by too quickly. Of course, that’s not the tour guide’s fault at all — Jacob did a great job with the time we had. Overall, I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it. Jacob was an excellent guide, and I hope I get the chance to see him again someday!
An amazing tour with Jacob who was a fabulous tour guide. Friendly, thoughtful & easy to talk to. Highly recommend.
The day before the trip, the agency already contacted us with all the important information about the pick-up, the vehicle and how the day would be organised. Shortly afterwards, our driver and guide Oskar also got in touch with the whole group, which made everything feel very well organised from the start. Travelling by minivan was a big plus for us. We were a small group, which made the whole experience much more relaxed, friendly and personal than travelling in a large tour bus. During the day we visited several interesting stops along the way that we probably would not have seen if we had travelled to Zakopane independently by train. Oskar made sure everything ran smoothly and also gave the whole group useful tips at each location, which made it much easier to explore during our free time. He also sent everyone restaurant recommendations for different tastes, and even after we returned to Krakow he shared some additional suggestions and places to visit in the city. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and well-organised day trip from Krakow. The small group, travelling by minivan and Oskar’s helpful recommendations made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommended!
The guide was awesome and very helpful and he also stooped for additional viewpoints. He is superb.
Amazing experience, the driver/guide was very helpful and respectful , he took us to a few less explored places which was very nice and beautiful.
Spent a wonderful day with Jacob our driver and guide who looked after us so well, just the right amount of short breaks to stretch our legs before enjoying all the delights with amble time to stroll, eat and enjoy. The traditional highlander homes along with the cheese tasting and vodka exoerience was great along with all the information that Jacob delivered...and then onto Zakopane....a busy but worthwhile time spent there...Thank you again Jacob for looking after us so well..
Jacob was an excellent knowledgeable guide. Provided us with Google maps points of interests and restaurant recommendations for our day trip.
This day trip was wonderful. I loved the little wooden village. Our guide, David was just brilliant, very knowledgeable, a very good driver and gave us plenty of tips for spending our day at zapolane with the cable car etc. We also loved the cheese tasting and vodka experience. He showed us the little chapel and Olympic ski slope.
I was intrigued by this day long trip and appreciated the Polish landscape, the highlands and the mountains of Zakopane. What a beautiful country! It was such a scenic drive and well worth the money and time. Our guide explained the history in such detail as we stopped off at each point from the wood homes, the shepherds hut with a shot of polish vodka where we met the lovely dog and goats to the mountain of zakopane. Had the delight of popping in to an old wooden chapel too. We tipped the guide it was a great experience and one I hope to return to in the future. Car was very comfortable as it was a hotel pick up and drop off. Very highly recommend for all the families even solo travellers. Just be mindful Zakopane is not like the main cities of Poland so not everyone is welcoming…if you are slightly darker in colour expect to be looked at in a different way unfortunately. A wonderful memorable trip!
Untrustworthy source, I have booked and paid fully for an attraction and received the confirmation but fee hours before the time it starts they cancelled it for no reason ?!
Host was great and knowledgeable, it was relaxing and not pushed for time. Definitely recommend it as the mountains is a great experience.
Mateusz was a competent and professional driver giving us confidence in our safety all day. They were friendly and had excellent English; answering all our questions clearly. Free and easy with recommendations was a bonus for the rest of our Krakow visit . We would definitely use them again.
Beautiful place .Loved going up cable car .scenery beautiful. Getting there & back very long 3 hours each way .
We met Jakub our driver outside our hotel to pick us up to take us to Zakopane and the Tatra mountains. Jakub was very friendly and Informative throughout the journey and made sure we were looked after well. We really enjoyed the little tours the best such as the cheese tasting and vodka overlooking the countryside and visiting a church and the border of Slovakia! Even though the Funicular was very busy the views across the town was beautiful and came down to walk around the town before pickup. We took a scenic route home so was able to take more pictures of the unique houses ever single person had. Jakub dropped us of at our hotel on the way back which was perfect. Jakub is a credit to the team!
Our driver and guide Oscar was helpful and supportive throughout our trip, I will happily recommend him
Great experience , our guide and driver Oscar was very helpful and informative
Oscar our guide was fantastic. Very helpful and made the trip very enjoyable
Fantastic full day out. Easy to book. Lots to see. Views of the mountains amazing. Matthew our guide was fab and full of information and dedicated to making sure we had the best experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore more of Poland
Matthew was an excellent guide! He picked us up right on time, and the van was clean and comfortable. Everything about the experience was perfect!
Excellent day! Had a great time. Oskar helped as needed and provided us with great knowledge. He showed care and understanding! His recommendations for food were helpful too. Would recommend the trip and Oskar as a guide.
Really interesting trip that takes in many of the key places of interest in the Zakopane area. We had plenty of free time in the town itself and none of the stops felt too rushed. It was a full day out but had a great balance of time in each location. I would thoroughly recommend for those interested in the culture and traditions of the local area. Perfect day trip from Krakow.
It's Awesome Experience!!!!
