Not the most informative tour; think it would have been better for us if we’d just bought tickets on the day (which were easy to do when we went/ loads available) and used a translate app or tour/guidebook for the things written in Polish.

Itinerary
Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII. Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List. Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history. Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory. Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings. After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

Wojtek was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, didn't rush us. Explained lots of things that we wouldn't have known just from the displays. Good communication from Discover Cracow throughout. Highly recommend
Great tour !!! Very knowledgeable guide with a wry sense of humour. Can't remember his name however he was polish / Australian. Probably the best experience on our trip and learned so much . Thank you
Book through Discover Crakow otherwise you will be in a lengthy queue. Our guide Woycek met us outside displaying an easy to see sign. We also had a wattsapp message with good information on, where to be, directions ect. There are cafes and places to see in the vicinity of the factory if you arrive early. The Ghetto wall, monuments ect. Without Woycek and his story of how the situation was developing in Poland you would just walk around a museum looking at artefacts. His knowledge and no rush talk through built a picture that allowed us to fully understand this factory, Oskar Schindlar and the slow downgrading and humiliations of the jews. He also took time to explain about the normal day to day life of poles and germans. It was interesting throughout. Woycek allowed us to ask questions and answered with some impressive background knowledge. He also explained what some of the posters and images depicted. Something you just wouldnt have known going it alone. In summary, I think that his tour was excellent. It was more informative and less rushed than our previous days Auchwits. At the end of the tour he took time to show us the best books to buy from a good onsite shop and gave directions to some areas of interest not in the guide books. I thank our guide Woycek he made it a really informative tour. Thanks Woycek.
The museum was very interesting and the guide explained parts that were only in Polish. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Booked online without a guide. It's fine if you don't know much about WWII, but there wasn't enough information about Oskar.
Fantastic and Informative Tour with Klaudia! We had an incredible experience on the Schindler’s Factory tour thanks to our wonderful guide, Klaudia. She was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and brought the history to life in a way that made us feel we learned so much. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Thank you so much, Klaudia—highly recommended to anyone visiting!
Really interesting, our tour guide was very informative.I did expect more history of Shindler though .
Amazing tour, that travels you trough history, and local realities from that period of the II World War in Krakow! Our guide was very easy to follow and very enthusiastic! Thank you Klaudia, for this great knowledge that you shared with us about local truths!
Natalia was a wonderful guide and was incredibly informative and passionate about the subject. She made the experience so much better. The instructions for meeting were very good. We were lucky to be a small group as it is a small space. Our guide was thoughtful to us and other museum users in the space available.
The guide was very knowledgeable and made the museum experience more interactive.
We pre booked this trip before flying out so we skipped the queues. Our guide was very knowledgable about Poland in WW2 and the actions of the every day person and resistance. He showed us that the factory contained more than the information regarding Schindler but contained information about Krakow as it was then. Ignore the film, Schindlers List, as the museum is more real than whats in the film. I'd recommend this tour to those who are happy to learn. Info: there is a toilet inside near to the museum shop but if you are part of a group tour you may not have chance to go as tours are given timeslots. There is a set of toilets half way through the museum and our guide was happy to stop and wait for people to use it. The museum has a cafe outside it, Paleo, along with other eateries so if you are willing to eat/drink there you can use the toilets in there after finishing.
Happened upon this museum, while walking around krakow. We must of arrived at a good time as there was no queue to enter. However once inside it was so packed we could not veiw the exhibition properly, there was tour group after tour group blocking the paths and exhibitions (just unfortunate that so many were allowed in at once) In the end we squished our way past them all and out of the museum. I wanted to buy a momento from the gift counter but the member of staff was too busy on the phone to serve me or acknowledge me, so we left empty handed
This is an excellent museum. 5 stars. Unfortunately we only had 90 minutes and were rushed through exhibits. In hindsight, I'd rather have gone by myself and been able to read all the information and enjoy the museum more thoroughly. Also, our guide arrived late which was concerning. This is why I can't give it 5 stars.
Go with a guide, so you will get more. Woycek has been praised here by other reviewers and I have to agree: he was brilliant. It's also helpful if you've watched the film Schindler's list before visiting, so you'll understand more about the people and the context.
Fodi gave a very insightful tour of the Schindler Factory and did an excellent job of giving a historical background to the exhibits. Although you have to purchase the admission tickets separately, the tour is well worth the cost.
Arrived promptly waited outside for lots of people to pass you in line. Get in 30 mins after booked time only fit the place to be a complete rip off. The front of the building and a gait are original the rest are of its time. No factory to see! A very rushed tour of total garbage oh wait a map was real the rest crap. Stay away its not worth your time never mind the money
Long wait to get in and our guide was too quietly spoken. We seemed to be rushed and never had enough time to look at all the displays
Incredible tour. Our guide was not only a remarkable historian, but the grandson of a Holocaust survivor as well. Well worth the time!
Arrived on time although the tour started a little late but well worth the wait. A very informative guide and the attention to detail with the exhibits was outstanding. Tour was not rushed although it was a timed entry and if you snoozed you lost !! Recommend this tour
This was a great way to experience Schlinders Factory. Really good insight into the occupation of Krakow and the events in the city. The guide not only presented facts but also personal experiences from his family.
If you are a serious history buff I would recommend choosing the non-guided version of this tour. There are detailed captions in English and you can take your time. The guided tour rushes you a bit.
Overall it was a good experience, we would have liked to have a little more time to read some of the notes and information relating to the pictures
Foki, our guide, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. It was a fascinating tour, especially with Foki’s insights. The museum was really crowded and there was a long wait, but she handled everything professionally.
An excellent guided tour with Woycek from Discover Crakow. Extremely informative and the museum is very thought provoking. Well worth a visit, and a good guide like Woycek
I purchased two tickets through Headout for an English guided tour of Schindler’s Factory while we were vacationing in Kraków. The tickets were purchased on my mobile phone. When booking a tour on a small screen, it is easy for an important condition to get lost among several pages of routine information. A requirement that can result in being completely refused entry should never be buried in the details. We arrived on time but were refused admission because we had digital copies of our identification on our phones rather than our physical passports or driver’s licences. Initially, our tour guide was short and not particularly helpful. However, after sending the rest of the group ahead, he became much more helpful and genuinely tried to assist us. He explained that the authorities require physical identification and that he could not admit us with digital copies. There is some irony in being required to produce physical identification while so many government and travel services are moving toward digital identification, but this was obviously not something our guide could change. The result was that we lost the English guided tour we had paid for and specifically planned into our vacation. We then had to rearrange the following day’s itinerary so we could return to Schindler’s Factory. Unfortunately, when we returned, an English-speaking guide at the facility refused to allow us to simply listen to his English tour and embarrassed us in front of his group. That compounded an already disappointing experience. Despite all of this, Schindler’s Factory itself is something I believe everyone should see. The lessons of WWII and the Holocaust remain critically important, particularly at a time when antisemitism and hatred toward Jewish (and Christian) people are again very real. History demonstrates how propaganda, dehumanization and the manipulation of ordinary people can allow hatred to become normalized. Whatever your background or beliefs, this history needs to be understood so that what happened is never allowed to happen again. My main complaint with Headout is simple: if failure to bring physical ID means you will be refused entry, that warning should be impossible to miss. At the very top of the booking page and confirmation it should state: PHYSICAL PASSPORT OR DRIVER’S LICENCE REQUIRED — DIGITAL COPIES NOT ACCEPTED. YOU MAY BE REFUSED ENTRY WITHOUT IT. Travellers are spending not only their money but their limited vacation time based on these bookings. Headout needs to make critical admission requirements unmistakably clear before someone pays and again on the ticket or confirmation.
Woycek was an excellent guide. The tour was very informative
I was very disappointed. If you know a lot about Schindler and what he did I would give it a miss. It's mainly photographs and other images. I expected factory artefacts; maybe a simulated factory environment; even if they were replicas. There was a replica of Schindler's office, a replica tank and a simulation of a Jewish house; I can't remember anything else. If there was anything else it wasn't much. There were some type of binocular viewing things to look at yet more photos. Our guide, Woycek (English spelling), appeared to be rather rude and abrupt initially, but I actually found him quite amusing in his own way after engaging him in conversation.
From the outset Foki deserves a special mention. Her historical knowledge and fact correcting was outstanding. Over and above she was friendly, approachable and respectful to the museum. The museum runs a tight ship so be expected to limit your experience to around 90 minutes. This is how the museum runs and in now way has anything to do with your guide, they are quite simply following museum rules. It’s worth a visit, learn and enjoy. Fuki, Dziękuję 😊
A lot bigger than I expected. A good day. Very informative 👏
It was such a nice experience although it was 90mins tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and was explaining really nicely. Her nickname was Foki. She was excellent 👏 👌
Woycek is very knowledgeable and made this a very informative tour.
It is an extremely informative tour , about the history of krakow during the war . Our guide , Natalia was amazing , lead the tour with such non stop information that our group clapped at the end .
Excellent experience covering not just history of Schindler but Krakow in the period of occupation
Woycek was an amazing guide! Intelligent, insightful, and graciously witty.
Our tour guide, Vojtech, was great. Well organised from the start (unlike the other tour guide), he gave us an orange sticker so he could identify us and kept us up to date on the tour delay. He was fun and informative, efficient and caring. He was still interested in our experience despite this being his umpteenth tour. Highly recommend.
Great guide Woycek Informative and entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour
Exceptional tour delivered by an amazing guide named Foki. Communicated everything via WhatsApp and replied pretty much straight away. Every day is a school day and when you thought you knew about what the Polish people went though you have some sad and surprising information to digest. Would absolutely recommend without doubt
The first half of the tour was about Poland, and the beginning of WWII. The tour guide was fantastic. The time went by quickly. Wish there had been more about life for the Jews Mr. Schindler saved - where did they live, what did they eat, did they have access to buy shoes, clothes, etc. while working in the factory. Would do it again first with a guide and then without a guide to spend more time reading the information cards.
I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Natalia our tour guide had excellent communication from start to finish which I really appreciated. The tour itself was super interesting. You could spend hours at the Schindler Factory and still not feel like you've seen everything. I highly recommend this tour. One of the benefits is ensuring that you get a ticket as certain times seem to sell out.
The time of the tour was changed from morning to afternoon and then started 1 hour late. Our tour guide was not obvious to find and kept saying he had to be somewhere else. He had a flippant attitude and we couldn’t tell if he was joking or serious in his stories. At times it felt he was being too personally political rather than just factual. We felt disappointed and let down by the experience. We wish we had booked our own tickets and gone at our own pace.
Great guide and very personable.
I expected the tour to be of the factory and More info on Oscar Schindler. I didn’t realize it was going to be another history lesson on the Jewish people, Nazis and invasion into krakow
Our guide Natalia was extremely knowledgeable about WW2, Krakow history and Schindler’s story. She answered questions thoroughly and with sensitivity. Be prepared to wait in line for tickets into the factory. The tour is 1 and a half hours but the wait to get in was approximately 1 hour. Keep this in mind if booking other events/excursions on the same day.
Good guide and interesting museum but the group was too big. The rooms and corridors were so small that a group of 8 not 25 would be more appropriate. I wish we’d gone as individuals and had time to look at the exhibits at our own pace. Nothing against the guide - she was great!
Couldn't get in with the tour as had no ID and they wouldn't give us a refund.
The experience contained many photographs that one can view in a documentary or history book. There weren’t many original artifacts and you don’t explore the actual factory. You see the administrative offices of the factory. It was neat to see Schindler’s office space and pay your respects to the people who worked there and suffered that terrible period in our history.
Amazing tour, Mr. Woycek was very well documented, has a great sense of humour and very deep insight into Krakow life during WW2. Deffinitely recommend.
We booked a trip with Viator in February 2026 to Oscar Schindlers factory in Krakow for our Polish trip on Thursday July 30th for 2 Adults. We received confirmation the trip was booked and paid for on 18/02/26. On arriving at Krakow Airport on Wednesday 28 July we received an email stating the trip had been cancelled, no reason given at this point but a FULL refund would be given (note a FULL refund will be given). With a tight schedule and not wanting to miss out on the factory trip I hastily tried to see if I could book again through Viator on the same day but different time. I thought I had succeeded. We made our way to the factory on Thursday 30th July but on arriving and looking at the booking at the door on my phone I suddenly noticed I had mistakenly booked for 27 August 2026 when we would be back in the U.K. Heaven knows how I did it but there it was, a mistake. So we paid to go in at the entrance so not to miss out. On return to the hotel and after dinner I tried to contact Viator via the chat to get a refund for my mistake. I was told no refunds despite my mistake as the tickets would have been sold and could not be cancelled! I also got told by Viator they had gone through another company but we had never been told that at any point. Our contract as far as we were concerned was with Viator. We had not even been told why the original trip was cancelled. Viator looked into that and sent us an email to say the trip was cancelled by Discover Poland (who are they, οur contact and contract was with Viator!) because NO Availability for the selected date and time! Yet we had booked and paid for 30th July at 10:40 and a confirmation email! So how could they say ‘No availability for selected date and time??? Viator said we could not get a refund on the tickets bought for 27th August as the tickets had been sold to us via another company and to speak with them but hang on we had confirmed booking since February for the original tour date and yet they were refunding! Even now there is plenty of time to cancel our August 27th date and tickets, someone else can and will have the opportunity to purchase the tickets, but still it was a ‘no’. So, on one hand, to issue a refund, but when it’s a mistake on your part ‘ NO’ is very unfair and not RIGHT! So Viator give us the details of KrakowBooking.com, we contact the company who issued the tickets and they refuse refund too! People be very aware of Viator, we will not use them again, ever, for any tours wherever and we advise you to do your own due diligence before using a company that clearly do not let you know they sub contract out with another company and are not in the slightest bit concerned about people losing money for genuine mistakes!
Excellent guided tour with Anna. Phenomenal knowledge of WW2 Poland generally and of Schindler and the Jewish Ghetto specifically. Brilliant command of English and tremendous historian. Very thought provoking and full of insight. Thank you Anna.
