Our guide, Joanna, gave a delightful and insightful tour of Old town Krakow, delivered with great personal experience and a charming sense of humor. We learned a great deal about the history of the city as well as getting some great “insider” advice on where to eat, shop and visit to improve our visit to the city. I very much recommend this tour as a first day introduction to Krakow.

Brick Gothic church adjacent to the Main Market Square in Kraków, Poland. Built in the 14th century, its foundations date back to the early 13th century and serve as one of the best examples of Polish Gothic architecture.
It is the central feature of the main market square in the Kraków Old Town.
The Wawel Royal Castle and the Wawel Hill constitute the most historically and culturally important site in Poland.
The street was once part of the hamlet of Okół, connected with Kraków in 1401. Formerly, the buildings along the street housed cathedral canons, and to this day many of their Baroque and Renaissance have remained present.
One of the main streets in Kraków Old Town and one of the most famous promenades in the city.
The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is the first structure in Kraków designed entirely in the Baroque style, and perhaps the first Baroque building in present-day Poland.
The Museum is situated below the market square of the city and has an area of over 6000 square meters.
One of the most well known streets in Krakow
The Center of Krakow's Old Town
Located on the intersection of the Main Market Square and Grodzka Street in Old Town, Kraków, is one of the oldest stone churches in Poland.
In the late 1990s, Andrzej Wajda was one of the originators of a modern exhibition and information pavilion at Wszystkich Świętych Square; on his initiative, the building was fitted with stained-glass windows made following Stanisław Wyspiański’s projects.
A historical Romanesque church built between 1079 and 1098 by a medieval Polish statesman Palatine Sieciech. It is a rare surviving example of the European fortress church used for defensive purposes.
One of the main focal points of the Main Market Square in the Old Town district of Kraków. The Tower is the only remaining part of the old Kraków Town Hall demolished in 1820 as part of the city plan to open up the Main Square. Its cellars once housed a city prison with a Medieval torture chamber.
Roman Catholic church and the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Kraków, located on Wawel Hill in Kraków, Poland. More than 900 years old, it is the Polish national sanctuary and traditionally has served as the coronation site of the Polish monarchs.

Excellent tour, very informative about the history and sights of Krakow. Our guid was Magdalena, who was terrific. I highly recommend this tour and guide.
Great tour. Went at a very good pace. There were seats about for the occasional rest as we listened. Our guide was very enthusiastic and obviously loves her job. Highly recommend
Really good tour, knowledgeable guide who was very passionate about her city. I very much enjoyed it
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of historical information. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Christopher had an encyclopedic knowledge of Polish history. Really amazing & made it come alive. He pride of country was contagious.
The tour was great, and our guide, Margaret, was fantastic. She was a wealth of information on the history of Krakow. If you’re looking for a tour where you’ll learn about the history of the city, this is a great one and Margaret is your Guide!
Our afternoon with Margaret was contemporary and historical with her weaving the history of Kraków – the kings, battles, government, architecture and paintings of castles, cathedrals, churches, universities and buildings - throughout our walk / afternoon together. There were not only suggested places and times to visit in more depth, but also restaurants and even spots to stand to take photos and capture the best memory. When we returned to tour the Wawel Cathedral and Castle, the information she had given, helped us to understand and make connections with / from the audio tour guide. Brava Margaret!
Lots of historical information. We toured a beautiful part of Krakow and our guide was very knowledgeable.
Just back from the most incredible walking tour of Kraków's historic city centre and I'm still smiling. 🏰✨ Our guide Gregory was absolutely phenomenal — his passion for the city's history is infectious, and the way he brought each landmark to life made it feel less like a tour and more like stepping into the pages of a history book. From the grand Main Market Square to the winding cobblestone streets of Kazimierz, every stop felt meaningful and perfectly paced. Gregory's storytelling had the whole group hanging on every word. If you're visiting Kraków, do yourself a favour — don't just walk around, walk around with Gregory. Hands-down one of the best travel experiences I've ever had!
Informative and friendly guide who gave great advice, knowledge and perspective relating to her city
Good tour, Joanna was our tour guide. She conducted the tour professionally and was very knowledgeable
I booked a private tour for me and my wife and we enjoyed it very much. Our guide Joanna was very knowledgeable and showed us around the old town, explaining the key locations and history of the the area. We explored the back streets, the main square, stopped to see the hourly trumpeter at the top of the tower in the main square and finished the tour at Wawel Castle. Throughout our 3 hour walking tour, Joanna explained the history and significance of the places she showed us, such that when the tour ended we had our bearings and were excited to explore Krakow in more detail on our own. It was an excellent way to start our visit to Krakow.
Definitely wear walking shoes and appropriate clothing for weather. We really enjoy the tour our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and obviously loves her job as a guide. She made the tour very enjoyable
Private tour with a lovely guide. In February, wrap up warm. We were taken to the trumpeters bell tower, the Jewish quarter and Gog. The Wawel castle and the Cathedral. Magdalena was knowledgeable and fun.
The tour was interesting unfortunately we had to cut it short as it was so cold and was to much standing around it would be perfect in warmer weather.
Friendly, with lot of small informations, intresting tour. Price is fair for this few hours walking on Krakow old town.
Tour visited some historical sites. Guide did not wait for entire group before sharing facts. Guide was not mindful of participants when crossing streets that part of group did not male it accross due to traffic In general was not mindful or attendant to group. Tour is 3 hours be mindful when booking tour could continue after sundown.
Our tour guide "George" was really knowledgeable, very polite and nice. He kept a tight schedule. Our group was of seven people. He was really enthusiastic and excited about telling us everything. We could tell he takes pride in sharing his country's history. We highly recommend him and this tour.
A great tour with a very knowledgeable and engaging guide who walked at our pace and gave us interesting insights into the social and architectural history of the city.
Rudolph was great, really knowledgeable, interesting and funny. Wished we’d been able to fit it in at the beginning of our visit rather than on our last day as he really brought the city to life and was full of tips of things to do and see.
Tour was great and provided a lot of information on the city. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy to hear.
A great walking tour that gave an excellent overview of the old city of Krakow. Excellent guide. Thoroughly recommended.
Very interesting and informative on the history our guide was clear and helpful and took her time to answer questions
Joanna was excellent! Personable and knowledgeable and very easy to understand. Would definitely recommend her to anyone!!!
Great way to start you holiday in Krakow pointing out places to visit on your own knowledgeable guide.
Dorothy was very knowledgeable and passionate about her city, really enjoyable tour. Wear comfy shoes!
The walk tour was very informative. Our guide provided us with an appreciation of the significance of Krakow in the history and culture of Poland and its people. We would recommend it to first time visitors to this amazing city.
Great experience. Christopher was very knowledgeable and was very generous with his time. He took us in many unexpected delightful hidden spaces. He explained lots of Polish history.
Tour was cancelled due to heavy rain so I don’t know what it would have been like. The rain wasn’t that heavy so I was surprised it was cancelled.
This experience provides a historical perspective of the city and includes the key sites. Our guide was engaging and very knowledgeable.
Victor was a fabulous guide. His English was really excellent and he was incredibly knowledgeable. The two hours whizzed by in a flash but we really got a taste of the history of Poznan and Poland in general. Highly recommended. The recommendation print out and sweets were a nice touch too. Thank you.
Max was our guide for th etour. Very informative on the history of Krakow and Poland and took plenty of questions. He was very involved.
Took my parents on this tour and they really enjoyed it. Very informative and knowledgable guide. Would recommend, see some areas you would not normally see if doing self guided
Tour canceled, no notification Wasted a day, Thank very much, very disappointing. City is lovely, would have enjoyed a tour
Magda did a very nice job leading us around Krakow Old Town and sharing her extensive knowledge of the city, culture and history. It was quite warm, and we are not youngsters so we opted to conclude the tour at the base of Wawel Castle rather than hiking up.
A very fast paced 3 hour tour. Do not expect to sit with this guide...even when seating was available close by stop. Suggest starting tour with the hill while fresh...may need to cut portion to allow stopping (maybe park area). Also offer WC option periodically. Guide was knowledgeable.
Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and city was easy to walk around. Had trouble finding the guide at the initial meeting spot though!
We were able to learn a lot about an area of which we knew little. Her Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and very passionate about her city.
We really enjoyed our walking tour of Old Krakow with Krzysztof. He was very passionate about Polish history in general, and the history of Krakow in particular. We saw many sites around the town, it was a good orientation to see where things are and understand what you want to do. However, there is so much to do in Krakow, you can’t possibly see it all in a three hour tour.
Krzysztof was so knowledgeable and gave such great detail of the city and its history. He also identified other must do sites in Krakow.
Fantastic way to see the top sights of Old Town Krakow in a few hours of salubrious walk. Highly recommended if you can enjoy a 4 hour walk with minimal breaks.
Tour was cancelled and I’m waiting for a refund. Tour was cancelled and I’m waiting for a refund. Need a refund.
On 17 May (today) I was notified that the tour operator had cancelled my 18 May walking tour (confirm # 1631391727, booking reference # 1247172235) and that I would receive a refund of $0.00. I PAID FOR THIS TOUR WHEN I BOOKED IN APRIL, so I do not understand why there will be no refund.
Very informative. Ou tour guide Magda was amazing. We walked around the old town making stops at important places. i would do it again.
Very interesting and guide was extremely knowledgeable. Enjoyed hearing about the history of Krakow old town
Fun and thorough tour! Learned a lot and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable as a native of Krakow.
Tour was excellent - tour guide walked a bit fast for all of us to keep up though. She did have her own “opinion” on history.
A very enjoyable 3-4 hours in the company of Christopher. I feel I could have taken an A level exam at the end. Such was the level of knowledge imparted. Very good. Give it a go. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful walking tour with Joanna. Really informative and educational. Excellent value and 3 hours not rushed and taken to many places would not have seen with full knowledge and history thank you Joanna
