This was a great introduction to Polish food and a. Ive way to see some of the city on foot. I’d recommend doing it at the start of your trip so you get a sense of the place and the food available. Michal our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly.

We had such a great time with Julia! We met her at the Bascilica right on time and away we went. We had six different stops along the way and enjoyed everyone. All were very different and we ended in a restaurant in Kazimierz for a three course meal. Delicious! Julia was very knowledgeable about the background of the food and gave us examples of how her family ate these foods during certain times of year. We so enjoyed getting to know her and would highly recommend Julia as a tour guide.
Our guide, Bart, was so good. He loved his job and country, gave us a wonderful experience around Zakopane and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our time with Bart and the Polish countryside.
An excellent introduction to the iconic foods of Krakow. Martyna was fun, well informed and wonderful to spend the time with as we experienced the tastes of so many different foods around the city. She picked the best places and the best food!
The food was amazing!!! The guide was quite knowledgeable of the food and the restaurants. His English was nearly flawless. There was only one other couple on our tour since it was off season. The hubby loved the fermented cherry alcohol drink; and searched for it at every restaurant after that. My only complaint was that it was too much food!!
Brilliant experience with local guide Julia. Friendly and interesting, knew all the best local places to try traditional polish dishes. Best to arrive with an empty stomach though!
Brilliant food tour — Michal went above and beyond! We had a fantastic food tour with Michal during our trip to Krakow. He took us to some really good places, and spending time with him was a real highlight of our visit. What really stood out was how helpful he was beyond the tour. He sent us an extensive list of recommendations covering restaurants, breakfast spots, cafés and bars, with addresses and personal tips. From traditional Polish food and zapiekanki at Endzior to places for coffee and cocktails, he gave us plenty of ideas for the rest of our stay. That extra effort made such a difference. We had a really good trip, and Michal played a big part in making it special. If you’re visiting Krakow, we would thoroughly recommend a food tour with him. Thank you, Michal — absolutely brilliant
Thoroughly enjoyable experience our guide was so knowledgeable and we totally enjoyed tasting all the traditional foods would highly recommend
One of the best food tours I’ve done. Julia was very informative about Krakow and Polish food. She gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants, food. Tour had plenty of food. I actually went back to two of the restaurants we visited. Highly recommend.
Excellent tour and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Kraków! There was plenty of food and a great variety, so everyone can find something they enjoy. Our guide, Julia, was amazing - if you get her, you’re lucky! She shared interesting stories about the food, the places we visited, and life in Poland. She also gave us great recommendations for places to visit during the rest of our trip, which we really appreciated.
I try to do food tours in every city I visit. This tour is at the top of them. Lots of delicious food, great variety. Highly recommend. Julia was a very good guide. She was very informative, provided recommendations, and answered our numerous questions.
Julia was great! She taught me a LOT about the polish cuisine and history and answered all of my many questions. Would highly recommend!
Julia was amazing so knowledgeable and absolutel joy thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thank you
Had a great time exploring Polish food in Old Town with Martyna. We visited 6 different places, with the last being a full lunch menu. There is alot of food on this tour, so do not eat beforehand and come hungry. It is a very good variety of local cuisine, with all places being in Old Town and nearby Jewish Quarter.
I had a great experience on this food tour and thought the price was great for everything that was included. I was originally supposed to be joined by two other guests, but they ended up backing out and since I was solo, it turned into a one-on-one tour. Julia did a fantastic job keeping the tour engaging and interactive, even with just one guest. She was very knowledgeable about Krakow’s landmarks, history, and the city itself. She also gave me some great recommendations for other places to visit in and around Krakow during the rest of my stay. The locations, food, and drinks selected for the tour were exactly what I was looking for. I felt like I got to experience a really good range of Polish food and drinks while also learning more about the city along the way. If I had one recommendation for anyone considering this tour, I would book it early in your trip. It is a great introduction to Krakow and the food, history, and recommendations can help guide what you want to explore for the rest of your visit. I would definitely recommend it.
We booked the Krakow food tour with the hopes of getting a good representation of Polish food and I think Michał really delivered. We met in the market square of Old Town and proceeded through a number of stops that included some of Poland's most recognisable foods, ending with three courses in a traditional Polish restaurant in the Kazimierz, the Jewish quarter. The portions were very generous, with the food varied and delicious. The insights around the food and the city were highly interesting. There is quite a lot of walking, much of it outdoors, so make sure you're up for a walk and check the weather before you go. Would thoroughly recommend if you're vising Kraków.
Julia our guide today for the food tour was excellent, friendly, engaging, very informative about the food and history. The food was very good.
Great food and drink tour of Krakow with Julia. Learned a lot about the food culture. Really enjoyed the combination of street food and sit down places and the cherry liquor tasting was a real treat. Highly recommend this tour.
We can highly recommend the food tour with Michał. The information about Kraków was great, and the food was even better. We only had breakfast, and that was just as well. Thank you for taking such a keen interest in our story, too. Best regards.
Michal was a brilliant guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. The visit was very well plannednand enjoyable with a great variety of dishes and venues.
Michal was a great and very knowledgeable guide. He explained each dish and it's significance very well and added his own knowledgeable about the city whenever he could. I would recommend him and the tour to anyone as it was a 5 star experience.
Brilliant 1/2 day experience. Julia was a fantastic guide with great local knowledge and was fun to be with. Everything ran very smoothly and we were well fed and watered.
Julia was an excellent guide who took us to bars and restaurants we would never have found. Throughout the tour we tried many different Polish foods and drinks, all of which were excellent, but special mention to the lemon vodka. Julia was also very helpful and informative. I would happily recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in food and drink, with a bit of general knowledge about Poland thrown in.
Great tour! It was very informative and the food was great. I was very full afterwards. Also loved that it was a smaller tour size.
The half day food tour was excellent. Julia was a very good guide who was informative about Polish history and culture as well as telling us a lot about the food and drinks. We ate a range of Polish food which was all absolutely delicious with generous portions. The restaurants and cafes where we stopped were well chosen for variety, interest and quality. It was a really enjoyable afternoon thanks to Julia's choices of venue and her warm, friendly and interesting guidance.
"Julia was an exceptional guide. She was incredibly professional and provided our group with fantastic insider tips on where to find the best authentic Polish cuisine. Beyond the food, her historical insights into Poland were fascinating and added so much depth to the experience. Highly recommended!"
My family of four had an awesome time with Julia! She did a great job explaining the foods and it’s cultural significance. The pace was great and there was plenty of food, but not so much you feel like collapsing.
This tour was great value for money. There was plenty of food, I think we could pop! Julia was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. We never ran out of things to see or talk about. 100% recommend.
The food was delicious and our guide was great! Recommended! A good value for the money and you will leave completely full!
Great experience, tried everything from cherry liquor to potato pancakes. Julia our guide was pleasant, chatty and informative. I’d advise against having breakfast before hand.
This was an amazing tour with delicious authentic Polish food at restaurants that the locals patronize. Our guide Julia was amazing!
Julia was a wonderful guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and well-spoken. The tour was the best because the guide was terrific! Thank you Julia.
We were advised on the morning of the tour that it was cancelled, though no reason given. Refund awaited.
What an incredible food tour! We travel often and we always try to do a food tour when we first get into any new country/city and this is one of the best we’ve ever done. Julia was a charming guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. We tried SO MANY different food items! It was absolutely wonderful. There were so many things that I had wanted to try, but wasn’t sure about and this tour enabled me to have a taste and discover things that I actually really liked and didn’t think I would. Highly recommend!!!!
Really enjoyed our tour with Michal, who was friendly and easy to chat to. We visited various stops over the 3 hours, and sampled some delicious food. The afternoon was taken at our pace, with no pressure to finish any of the dishes. Michal talked to us not only about the history of the food, but also about Krakow and its history. An interesting and delicious end to our short stay in Krakow. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice experience, quite a variety
Delicious food and knowledgeable guide. Great tour of Old Town. I would just suggest a better meeting place. Like maybe the statue in the square. Or have the guide hold an umbrella or something.
We had a fantastic experience with our tour guide Julia! Friendly guide, excellent food and city facts from a local. We were the only 2 on the tour, we do not drink alcohol and one of us is vegetarian. Julia provided an exceptional walking tour with traditional foods and drinks, and gave recommendations for the rest of our trip. Definitely do this tour first so you know where to go back to and what to see next!
I really enjoyed this tour! Julia was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a lot of background on Polish culture and food. The stops we made were clearly carefully chosen and each of the dishes was really good. Would highly recommend this tour!
We had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Julia was wonderful. The food was great. it was a 10 out of 10.
There was a breakdown in the booking system somewhere so the operator seems not to have received our order. This is not an entirely negative review. The operator immediately offered two alternative times on the following day but we weren't able to take these up. The full refund from Tripadvisor/Viator came through promptly. I might have been inclined to add more stars, but the provided operator's telephone number did not work for us or for the Tripadvisor agent on the day, which caused some unnecessary worry.
Do not eat anything before you go on this tour! So much food and it’s all really good. Michael was excellent host and took us to some very different but typical eateries. Highly recommend.
Our guide Julia was great! She was friendly and knowledgeable, not only about the food, but also about how these dishes relate to Polish culture. Julia also told us about the history of the places we stopped at and also the landmarks along the way! Ask her to tell you the story of the Wawel Dragon!
We ate so much wonderful food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun.
Our guide, Julia was excellent and very knowledgable about the city, food & culture. We tried many different foods in different locations - some on the street and some sitting in restaurants / “milk bars”. Julia was very passionate about her country & heritage and genuinely loves her job, meeting people from all over the world. We also liked the fact that we too met people from different countries and were able to share some cultural differences. I would highly recommend this tour and if you can have Julia as your guide you will get very lucky.
Julia was very pleasent and a good guide We really enjoyed this tour
Julia was terrific. She was engaging and very knowledgable. Would recommend 10 out of 10.
We have done a few good tours in our travels and this was one of the best so far ! Our guide Michal was very friendly and knowledgeable about Krakow and all the local food we were able to taste. The portions were very generous and a good variety . Definitely recommend this tour, especially if Michal is your guide !
You know these tours are good when the people on them bond quickly. That was a case here. Terrific samples of the best versions of traditional foods in Krakau. Our guide was funny and charming and clearly loved the subject matter
From start to finish my expectations were exceeded. Julia, our guide, could not have been a better host. She shared her knowledge of Krakow, the food, the he people, and the history of Poland. I highly recommend this walking food tour to everyone. Thank you Julia for a wonderful experience!
