Our trip to Salt Mine will start with picking up from a previously determined place in Krakow from a hotel or apartment. The journey from Krakow to Wieliczka takes about 40 minutes. Information about your pick up time you will get one day before the trip.
Visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mine takes 3 hours. Before visiting, you will receive headphones to better hear the guide. The entire route is less than 3 km and there are over 800 stairs to climb. However, they are beaten in batches. Return to the top is the elevator.
After completing the tour, the driver will drop you to your hotel/hostel/apartament in Krakow

Transfer showed up promptly and brought us to meeting point for tour. He secured our tickets and gave them to the proper person at the salt mine. We were brought into the mine timely, but had to wait about 15 minutes after climbing down the stairs as 2 members of our saltmine tour, not our pickup group, had major issues with the stairs and should have been brought down by lift. This could be done at one time with advance contact. Two or 3 groups were allowed to pass us while we waited. The main issue with this resulted in our tour running behind and we had zero time at the end to visit the gift shop. The tour was fine and the guide very knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of information without being boring. We enjoyed the tour. We were told by our driver to contact him by WhatsApp if we came out the far entrance of the mine, which we did by no choice of ours, but by the mine operator. We walked at least an extra mile (1.6 km) underground to get to our lft exit. The walk was ok for us, but would have been an issue for someone already exhausted from the extensive walking we had already done as part of the main tour.

I'm so glad I booked this in advance and just didn't turn up as the queues were massive. (I was a little dubious on the day, because I had a weekly Tram ticket and could have made it to the Mine FOC). But the queues were absolutely massive, but we sailed through them. We were contacted via our guide in advance and advised on his car details etc. The guide though was more of a driver who took us there and drove us back and facilitated us in to the mines. Once in the mines, it was awesome.
The Welcome in Cracow team was great to work with. Their communication was excellent! Konrad was our driver/leader and he was informative and kept us on schedule. The tour of the mines was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Everything proposed or we were told would happen, did happen The pick up from hotel was ontime and exactly as proposed, and the driver, Michal, was polite, friendly , helpful, clear with info and an excellent representative of the company. The guide on site was excellent. He had a difficult group because although an English tour, half the group didn’t speak English and had someone else with them and they were rather loud and didn’t listen to the poor guide. He managed incredibly well and was very professional and made sure it wasn’t spoilt for the rest of us. It was an excellent tour and thoroughly enjoyable. No hesitation in recommending this tour provider 👌

This is definitely the best way to experience the salt mine. The organization is professional, from booking and communication all the way to the actual execution. The driver was excellent, and on top of that we got an extra guide through him, who shared plenty of interesting informal details beyond the basics – a guide like that definitely deserves a lunch or dinner on you :) Communication went smoothly throughout, the guides were great, and the explanations were concise and packed with essential information, without unnecessary filler.

Excellent tour using welcomeinKrakow pre pick up info superb driver Mathius excellent and couldn't have done more. Slight downside Mine tour rushed would have liked another 20/30 minutes promised a 15 minute break in mine which was reduced to 6 on arrival at cafe toilets. This is a mine issue not the operator.

The driver picked us up right from our rental apartment. The driver explained all well in advance. The tour itself was very well organised. There is really a lot of walking inside the mine (ca 3,5 km). Driver also waited us on the exit and toon us to Krakow where we wanted.
Amazing salt mine with many salt statue and large cathedral at bottom. Caution, over 800 steps to the bottom, but well worth it.
Excellent trip. Well organised. The driver Konrad was on time, helpful and very friendly. The tour guide in the mine was called Isabella. She was fantastic, her in depth knowledge of the mines was astonishing plus she had a wicked sense of humour and that made the visit even better. My wife and I loved the tour it was well worthwhile.
Really amazing tour with a great guide. Definately need comfy walking shoes/trainers. Lots of stairs and walking. Was absolutely shattered after but well worth it. I have hearing aids so they had special earphones so that was excellent. Pick up from hotel was on time and great communication via watsap. Highly recommend this trip.

Could not fault the trip out. Exacticlty as is says. Never done anything like this before but really so simple to do. They communicated everything needed to make the trip as smooth as possible both at booking, beforehand and on the day. Driver right on time on collection time, and dropped us back having to wait for us on the return trip along with others in the bus, due to a delay getting us completed on the tour inside the mine. Really good value for money and could not ask for anything more

The Salt Mine Wieliczka at Krakow was a breathtaking experience for me. The small chapel inside the mine and its salt sculptures are a must watch if you are visiting Krakow. The depiction of "Last Supper" and various sculptures of Mary, Jesus, Pope John Paul II are marvelous to see! It was a short drive to the Salt Mine and the guide/driver arrived on time, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He took us safely from Krakow and dropped us back at he hotel after the tour. Would recommend this tour to anyone who likes to visit the Salt Mine in Krakow.

The walking & steps are massive-I mean massive. If you have any extremity pain or weakness, don’t even think about this tour. It is exhausting
