Had a lovely day exploring zakopane! Adam was a fantastic tour guide and was very informative throughout the journey. Would hilgly recommended.
Booked through Viator /Krakow Go. Jurek picked us up on time in a nice mini bus (had only 6 guests today) very informal but knowledgeable then headed to Zacopane . First we went up the cable car, took only 3/4 mins to get to the top-(weather was dreadful today and unfortunately didn’t get to to see the snow capped mountains.) although the area and high street are beautiful. Next, we had melted cheese and cranberry sauce plus a couple of other mixed cheeses and vodka tasting ( this was great!) we had a choice of cherry or quince. Quince was definitely the winner today! Jurek then drove another 10 mins to the thermal baths where we spent 3 hours. This was extremely clean, very well organised inside and definitely a highlight of our trip to Poland. We arrived home around 6pm . Nothing was too much trouble for Jurek and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with these people again.
Jurek showed us the best time! The weather wasn’t on our side today but he still made sure we had a good time. 10/10
The tour was really nice! Our driver Jurek was also polite and friendly and really smooth on driving!
Our lovely tour guide and driver for this trip, was Weronika. She arrived promptly and drove us to the several stops during this tour; it was comprehensive, informative and great fun. We stopped in the village of Chocolow, tasted some traditional smoked cheese, with some Polish vodka, went up in a cable car in Zakopane and had plenty of time to explore the market stalls & have some lunch, before returning back to the hotel. The recommendation of Zurek soup, was inspired! Thank you for looking after us so well.
Our driverJurek was extremely kind, helpful and polite. We had a great experience
Will from Krakow Direct was great. Took us to zakapone via a couple of informative stop offs. Then dropped us at airport and coach station.
Excellent. Communication was superb; never in doubt of next steps, constant messaging and updates; really slick. Spotless transport, driver Gregory was excellent. Zakopane is breathtaking, make the effort; it doesn’t disappoint.
We had a lovely time. Gregory was a great host and I’d definitely recommend to family and friends. It was very informative and we were given opportunities for free time on the trip too. Thanks Gregory 😊
Brilliant day from start to finish can't believe we never tried this on previous trips to Poland
We had a lovely day with Domino! There were lots of activities, and we really enjoyed trying the local Polish food and drink. The admission fee was reasonable and felt like good value for the experience. Domino got the right balance of interesting history and time to explore for ourselves. He was a really nice guy and made the whole day enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend this tour!
Everyone offers similar trips, but a little thought reveals the downside of a fixed itinerary that lacks flexibility. We opted for a private tour with a driver/guide named Will—his English was excellent, and he was always willing to listen patiently! In October, we had a rainy day with poor visibility, so I asked to skip the cable car ride to the mountain summit. This freed up a significant amount of time for us in Zakopane. I won’t spoil the fun of discovering your own alternatives for that time—but that’s something you simply couldn’t do as part of a large group.
Wonderful excursion. Very well organized, the driver was polite and helpful, beautiful scenery.
Big thanks to Gregory, our amazing driver and tour leader, for an incredible day trip to Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains! The views were breathtaking and everything was perfectly organized. Host was punctual, friendly, and ensured a smooth, safe drive throughout. Highly recommended :)
We have used Krakow Direct numerous times during our visits to Krakow, for tours and transfers, and have always been extremely happy with their service. Our tour to Zakopane was fantastic. Karol was a wonderful guide who made the day really enjoyable and took us to a great restaurant for lunch. We also used Krakow Direct for our transfers to and from Auschwitz, where Michael was our driver. He did a great job, and our early-morning airport transfer was just as smooth and reliable. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, helpful and professional, and they were always on time. We had absolutely no issues with any of the services we used. We would highly recommend Krakow Direct for tours and transfers in Krakow. Their service is excellent, and we would definitely use them again!
We had a wonderful day trip. Our driver and guide, Mathew, picked us up at our hotel in a clean and comfortable minibus. There were 2 additional guests on our trip. Mathew spoke excellent English and was very friendly, polite and helpful, even ensuring we had coffee & toilet breaks during the journey. He shared his extensive knowledge of the area with us, bringing the sightseeing to life. On the trip, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the old wooden houses and crafts, the vodka & cheese tasting, and the ride up the funicular in Zakopane. Sitting at the top, with a cold beer and excellent views of the snow topped Tatra mountains, is hard to beat.
Great day, easy and fun, no stress.
We had a lovely day out in Zakopane. Our guide was Patrick who was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Jack, our guide, not only brought us to many interesting places on our way to Zakopane but also gave us a fuller understanding of the Polish people in the Highlands and the larger Polish populations response to the Ukrainian exodus. A truly excellent experience that went far beyond any holiday day trip.
The tour was amazing, but I want to point out the professional and open hearted approach of our guide Greg. He was very kind , friendly and willing to share every kind of information, question we had . His service was over and above of our expectations.
Was worth the experience. Will is a great driver and very fun. Our group had a lovely time for a day on Tatra Mountain. The view, the experience were wonderful. We would go again.
Great trip to zakopane. Its a long day ,the scenery is stunning ,the cheese and vodka is great . The pick up on time ,driver very professional . Do go its a lovely day .

We took a tour of Zakopane, and Wojtek was a fantastic tour guide and driver! He had a great sense of humor and made the whole journey so much fun. Overall, we really enjoyed the entire day and would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Great day out from Krakow to Zakopane including Thermal Spa with Krakow Direct on the 17th December 2025. Matt our driver was great really looked after us, great communication,on time lots of local knowledge really helpful, I would highly recommend
I booked a tour for a trip to Krakow in September. I have been to Krakow before so wanted to do something different this time. My Dad passed away recently and this trip is a time to heal. I booked the trip on July 12th just to be organised not realising that booking had defaulted the date to July 13th. When I realised what had happened I contacted Krakow Direct by phone and email to explain what had happened. At no point did I want to cancel the trip but to change the date to September, The company refused to honour this without me having to pay again. The company were completely unempathetic and understanding about what had happened. Will NEVER recommend this company to anyone visiting Krakow
We were on this tour on Thursday. Matthew, our guide was amazing. The experience was magical, and Matthew went over and above to make our trip 5* +. Thank you for a wonderful day.😁
While the stops were nice, the tour guides did not do enough to add value. They did not really tell us anything about the places we stopped at, or give us any advice to improve our experience. In addition to this, they did not communicate important information about the trip to us, resulting in some having to quit the trip early in order to make it in time to a dinner reservation (the trip was 11 hours instead of 9, that it said when we booked). Due to a "miscommunication" with the thermal baths, we had to wait for about 30 minutes after arriving before we could enter. All in all, we were dissatisfied with the trip. If we had decided to instead rent a car and went to the same places, we could have gotten the same experience (as again, the tour guides did not really give any information, basically acting as only bus drivers) and probably saved both money and time.
We are just back from 5 fabulous days in Krakow. we decided to visit Zakopane/thermal baths. We went online and booked through "get my guide". What we didn't realise was we only booked transfers to and from Zakopane. The "get my guide" website isn't great and its pretty misleading, BUT the details are there and we, like many others didn't pay for what we thought we did. I feel like most of the negative comments referring to this as being a rip off, are because people don't read the booking details (like us) when they initially plan/book the trip. There is no doubt about it that the website (which isn't anything to do with Krakow Direct by the way) is awful and needs to be better, but i feel like common sense needs to be applied. Paying £99 for two people going almost 2 hrs away, with thermal baths, cable car tickets, spending a full day there and then back is very cheap. Looking back i wasnt surprised that we'd not actually booked and paid for the full experience. We were lucky enough to be picked up by "Jack" the morning of our trip. He kindly, and very patiently sat and explained that what we'd booked wasnt the full tour and explained that we can purchase tickets in Zakopane for the cable cars/thermal baths. He was so polite, very friendly and was chatting to my husband on the way there giving him lots of facts/knowledge on Poland/Krakow. When we got to Zakapone he helped us select the correct tickets for cable cars and thermal baths. Without his his help, this would have been very confusing! We had the best time ever in Zakopane and we cant wait to go back. THANK you so much Jack, you were fabulous and we really appreciated your help. You are a credit to Krakow Direct.
I’d highly recommend this trip, Natalie the tour guide was great! There’s a lot to do and see, it was a great fully day trip out and a great price for what’s included.
tour took less as other people on tour had a problem with payments etc and wasted 2 hours. Due to this we could not go Gubalowka although admission was paid as part of the tour but there was no time. Tour operator first said he would give a part refund but then went against his own word. Operator not to be trusted
This tour is a must, amazing Dariusz was our tour guide and was very friendly and knowledgeable The only thing which wasn’t great was the weather, no snow Everything else was perfect Thank you
It's a nice tour and great tour leader but due to other people there where many issues and lost a lot of time
If I’d read more about the tours available we would have brought our swimming gear as the thermal baths looked amazing, but then we would have missed the highlight for us if this tour. Michael our guide for the day did an excellent job, first taking us to Chochocol to see the beautiful wooden houses which look brand new but some over a 100 years old but are washed annually !!!!, we then dropped most of the party at the thermal pools , when the 5 of us left visited a local cheese maker in her small hut set just off the road on deep snow, it was so spectacular with all the snow covered meadows full of snow surrounded by very pretty snow covered pines too it was lovely no crowds of holidaymakers here as there were on the way up, Michael translated for us and we were then able to taste her cheese, as we were about to leave she came out with some toasted cheese and cranberries, they were delicious, after seeing no snow around Krakow it was a pleasure to drive through the snow filled valley and then on to Zakopane and a ride up the snowy hillside on the funicular and a lovely 2 hours spent in Zakopane town . Altogether a great day out
