Discover the area surrounding Birkenau from outside the official museum grounds. Your guide will explain the camp’s scale, function, and role within the wider Auschwitz complex while offering time for reflection.
Explore the surroundings of the former Auschwitz camp with your guide. Learn how its location, layout, and key external sites formed part of the wider system of deportation, forced labor, and extermination.
Continue to the former Auschwitz III-Monowitz site, a lesser-known part of the complex associated with forced labor. Learn about the camp’s connection to the IG Farben industrial area and the exploitation of prisoners for industrial work.
Finish your tour and go back to Kraków to the starting point, seeing various landmarks on the way. Travel back to central Krakow and finish with a drop-off in town.

Reviews
The guide Paulina was amazing, but unfortunately the inside tour was cancelled last minute so we only saw everything from the distance
Overall we very much enjoyed the tour, however, we must be honest in the disappointment at not actually entering any of the camps which was our expectation. On the sales it does state no museums but isn't clear that we would only walk around the perimeter of the sites. I would suggest the adverts are a little clearer. That said, the guide Pau was mui bien! We found Pau to be friendly, approachable and knowledgeable around the sites. Working in different languages she evidently excels at this and is an asset to the company. I have a background in professional driving and the coach driver was also to be commended, his driving was very good and safe, so thank you to him also. Enjoyable yes, we paid £39 each which I would say for the time and distance would be a fair price for what we received. We will return to Poland and will look to get into the camps as we hoped. Thanks again to Pau and the driver 🙏
A very informative trip that’s been on our bucket lists for a long time. The guide, Luke gave us lots of information on the journey as well as regular updates on meeting times. We spent 2 hours in Auschwitz self guided, it was very harrowing actually seeing it. The atmosphere was very sombre, despite there being a lot of people there. Would definitely recommend this tour.
i think it was a hard thing to watch but also a must that everyone has to witness
Guide, Damien, very friendly, knowledgable and approachable!! 5* review for him. Only downfall of the trip was the change in our pickup time from 11.30 to 13.00 which meant most of the tour was in the dark which meant we could not see everything and have the full experience which was really disappointing.
Damian was great very knowledgeable interested in the topic friendly and helpful. the only complaint we had was the time change of the tour instead of a morning tour it was changed to an afternoon tour which meant that most of the tour of auschwitz and birkenaur was in the dark which was difficult to see anything once again our guide Damian was fantastic
Damien was outstanding, his knowledge and scene setting really helped make the tour excellent. It was a shame about the time, 1/2 the tour was in the dark when we booked a 10:30 slot, my thoughts are you know we couldn’t get that slot and waited till the last minute to rug pull us on the times. Outside of this really enjoyed and thought Damien saved it
Without a doubt, an experience you have to do at least once, our guide, Damian, was so helpful and kind, it was very nice of him. Our tour got delayed from 10:15 to 13:00 so it went dark and you lose a lot of visibility and, with that, part of the experience. But Damian handled it perfectly so we at least could se a bit of everything during the day.
It’s been very interested day and listened the tour English showed us full everything which as very sad and seen what the hilter did Jews 6millions.
Such an insightful tour. Sophia was an excellent guide, she was incredibly knowledgeable and told the stories of the camps with emotion. Would highly recommend a tour with Sophia.
Great and well organised tour. Our tour guide, Zofia, was amazing - very knowledgeable. You wouldn’t have know it was only her third time taking the tour.
Sofia was a great guide. Informative & passionate about the history of what we were seeing. I was disappointed that our original inside Auschwitz tickets were cancelled but this tour was just as good as we saw things from a different perspective.
my guide was Zofia and she was absolutely amazing! She was very passionate, knowledgeable and allowed us to feel the emotions of the tour while still answering any questions we had. She explained the circumstances behind the camps very well and was sensitive while still being informative. The tour is a good deal for the price. You learn a lot and get to see many things even though it is just on the outside. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see Auschwitz but booked a more last minute trip to Poland so the actual tickets inside were unavailable/ insanely expensive. Communication with guides was also super easy, the lunch that we could buy was yummy, and transportation was smooth and comfortable.
Our guide was amazing. Really knowledgeable, made it all very interesting and controlled the day like an expert. And it was her third time. So can’t praise Zophia enough and hope she continues to be as informative as she has been
Great experience. Zofia was very engaged and answered all of our questions
Pro: available last minute and told us very clearly many times that we would not go inside the museum Other: the guide seemed to have memorised a script in English but the commentary lacked nuance and complexity and felt a bit like we were peering through fences in a sketchy way. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend for someone Jewish or English speaking who has any background. Because it was outdoors, there were also people smoking the whole time and because it was in two languages, some people were chatting and laughing while their non-native commentary was ongoing. These things were not the guide’s fault but could have been asked to stop considerately.
Overall, it was a very well-organized experience, with excellent communication and smooth transportation throughout the tour. Our guide, Jake, was absolutely incredible: knowledgeable, engaging, and very professional, which made the experience even more meaningful. However, I wouldn’t say the value for money was the best. The tour felt a little overpriced considering that you don’t actually enter most of the buildings or gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau. You mainly see the sites from the outside, and in many cases, access to the interiors is restricted by walls or barriers. I would have expected a little more access and a more in-depth experience for the price paid. That being said, the organization, transfers, communication, and especially Jake’s guiding were outstanding. A very worthwhile and moving visit, but with room for improvement in terms of the overall value for money.
Great visit to the camps with alot of information about it
The tour was very disappointing as we didn’t even get to go into Auschwitz just a perimeter tour. The booking info does not clearly state this. The guide was very good but everyone was disappointed that we didn’t get to go in and see the full site just the outside. I do not recommend this tour
Antoni was a very proficient, engaging and knowledgable guide. His descriptions and passion for the history of the sites really brought them alive. Seeing some sites not included in other tours was a real bonus.
Excellent guide (Antoni) - knowledge, calm, organized and passionate about the subject.
I booked to do a last minute tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Our tour guide Antoni was wonderful, very warm and very knowledgeable. I would recommend getting a tour with him. He explained clearly a lot of the history and told us stories to make it engaging. Overall a great tour!
Antoni was very knowlegable and passionate in the way he spoke. There was so much emotion in the way he spoke. He had such a depth in the way he provided information to his audience Well organised and structured trip. Tony
Good trip. Pau our guide was very knowledgable and as well as I Parting information allowed us time to digest and reflect. Lots of walking so not for those with mobility issues. Advisable if you don’t want to pay the £200 per person to get into the museum or if you can’t get tickets
An excellent day from start to finish. Antoni was a great tour guide, very informative and so passionate to every detail. I would recommend this alternative tour to others visiting Krakow. It wasn’t about going into the camps, it was more of visiting the location where such atrocities took place.
After unexpected Auschwitz tour cancellation, looked for an alternative options. I am so happy now that I have come a cross this tour. The tour guide Antoni was very knowledgeable and passionate about history, which is added to our experience and was able to answer all the question. we where amazed how interesting it actually was and how close we where to the world war 2 history. Thank you to driver too for his very smooth driving.
We toured Auschwitz with Antoni. He was the most excellent guide. He spoke English very well and told the story over a number of hours in a very logical way. His strength was his empathy and sincerity. As a young man he shared the wisdom and hopes of the lessons learned from this sad history, in such a thoughtful way. I really appreciated the way he encouraged us to imagine what it would’ve been like to have walked the “death march”, as we followed these actual footsteps. I found him to be very inspiring and feel very lucky that he was my guide. Thank you Antoni for the life long reflection. I completely recommend this tour and hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Antoni s your guide. Let us never forget this tragedy and those that follow.
We had a fascinating day trip out at Auschwitz- Birkenau Outside of the camps. Antoni was fantastic with organising everyone, making sure everyone could hear him and providing information about times and what we were going to see. More importantly, the history, the knowledge and passion in which Antoni delivered his tour was astonishing. To go on a tour knowing your were not able to visit the inside of the museums, Antoni allowed you to feel the heartache, the shock and horror of what happened in these camps. Thank you Antoni
Very good tour, Antoni was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I was disappointed not to be able to book the museum tour but this was a very good alternative. I was fortunate to do it on a dry day
Anthony was absolutely brilliant, so passionate. It was our first time and he explained everything in great detail.
Antony was a wonderful guide, clearly passionate about what he does. He explained everything so clearly and made the tour engaging and easy to follow. His knowledge and thoughtful explanations made the visit a memorable experience. Thank you, Antony! Highly recommended❤️
Antoni was our guide and he was fantastic. Very friendly, informative and very passionate about his job and was happy to answer any questions. We loved the alternative tour, we got all the history and still got to see loads on the tour. Would highly recommend.
Antoni was really good and very passionate. Made the whole experience very interesting. For a young man , he knows a lot about ww2 and the history of Poland. Would recommend him and your tour to anyone.
Amazing guide , Antoni had excellent knowledge about the history of this tour , would highly recommend.
Antoni was very friendly and was a great speaker with a lot of knowledge. Really enjoyed the trip. Many Thx
Antoni was an amazing guide! He had extensive knowledge on the different sites that we visited. He answered all our questions without hesitation.
Antony was outstanding. Easy to hear and understand. Informative and passionate about the history of
Really enjoyable trip with Antoni providing really good background and details. Would recommend. Only downside was the bus being late for the pick up
Good alternative, Antonio was very knowledgeable and gave a good account of the history.
It was an emotional experience to see how human can do such things… Antoni was really invested, giving many examples, numbers and family experiences. I recommend a lot !
We did the last-minute external tour of Auschwitz and Berkenau. Antoni was a brilliant guide. Passionate and articulate, he made it a really enjoyable experience.
Antoni was very good and clearly very passionate about the topic, really made the trip.
Wonderful experience in the camps, had a great time. Our amazing tour guide Antoni gave us a very detailed and interactive experience alternating between to languages, I would strongly recommend. Lovely experience would definitely recommend you to come check it out !
This tour was really good and the guide Antoni made it very enjoyable. His explanations in each site were excellent and he was doing them in both Spanish and English. Being bilingual in both I can say that the explanations were exactly the same so nobody was missing anything from his very well history-based explanations. If you are unable to book tickets to Auschwitz, this is a very good alternative tour
Well how can I start about our wonderful guide Anthony, from the start to finish his knowledge was only brilliant, the tour was amazing and Anthony made it even more amazing with the depth he explained the full tour 10/10.
Anthony was our tour guide for the outdoor tour of Aushwitz and Birkenau. We had been unable to book a tour with entrance tickets so booked this as an alternative. I would highly recommend this tour . Anthony was so knowledgeable informative and interesting telling the history of both camps. You get a real sense of just how horrendously heartbreaking the story is of what these people had to endure .I could not recommend this enough , book it you won’t be disappointed.
Antony was very organized and told us a lot of Informations and give Lots of detailed storries about the kz
Anthony was a very good guide, was very knowledgeable in all areas and I learnt so much from him, that you could not read, he made the whole experience feel as if I was transport back to that era.
Anthony was our tour guide for Auschwitz - Birkenau. Anthony completely exceeded our expectations, From the very beginning, Anthony brought the history of the area to life with amazing deep knowledge that went way beyond standard facts. They didn't just read from a script-they genuinely shared their passion tor the what happened We would highly recommend booking this tour.
