Maciej was a wonderful guide. Patient, kind, knowledgeable, and fun. He knew all the best spots to take great photos and was more than willing to be a photographer for us. He was also very flexible when we needed to stop for a coffee or a short break. He was very helpful and made it a great day. We enjoyed it very much. Totally worth it.

Castles are my favourite experience when I am travelling so I was delighted to find this tour that would take me to many castles in one day. As I have experienced numerous castle tours in my travels, I can confirm that this tour with Maciej is definitely a superior excursion. The castles we visited were absolutely fascinating! Maciej knows everything you would like to learn about the history of each castle, and made sure to point out intriguing details that I would've missed on my own. The road trip between castles, through the Polish countryside and various little towns, was also very interesting and scenic. As well, I appreciated that Maciej is a careful driver. Maciej replied to my queries promptly when booking this, and was so considerate during the tour. This castles day trip of the Eagles Nest Trail was the highlight of my trip to Poland! Don't miss it!

Had amazing day. Matthew, our tour guide, was very friendly, polite. and knowledgeable on all the castles and surrounding area. The day was happily longer than expected purely due to Matthew's enthusiasm and motivation to give us the best tour possible and ensuring he showed us as much as he could within the time we had without rushing. Was a lovely day , saw some fabulous castles, learnt about their history from Matthew and enjoyed the scenic ride through the beautiful Polish countryside. Matthew was a brilliant tour guide who happily stopped to take family photos for us during the day. Would highly recommend this tour.

A great way to see outside of krakow and the castles around, learning the history. Maciej was an amazing guide and knew lots about the area and the history. He adapted it to fit what we wanted. (We ended up as the only people on the tour)

This was a great tour to cover a lot of ground in one day. It was a long day and a lot of walking, so dress comfortably and be prepared. It was nice to get out of the city and see Poland's other landscapes and smaller towns. Our tour guide was amazing and although I cannot remember his name, he was super friendly and shared lots of Polish history as well as recommendations for the rest of our time in Krakow. If you love castles and history, this is well worth it!

An amazing trip and absolute must if you visit Krakow and want to see more medieval history! Our guide Maciej was outstanding and brought the trip to life. Matthew communicated very well with my husband and I prior to our booking. We were able to see and explore a number of the Eagles Nest castles both ruins and those that have been renovated. He was very knowledgeable about Polish history and the history of this region. We were able to stop for an excellent lunch. I would describe this as a very active tour but Matthew always stopped to make sure we were comfortable with any hiking or moving through the historic sites. We would definitely recommend this tour and would be happy to book another tour with him.

Wonderful itinerary and a professional guide/ driver in Maciej makes this tour something not to be missed. While a long day trip, it covers quite a few castles and history of that area of Poland. Highly recommended

We had the most epic day with Maciej as our guide! He is helpful, friendly, and so knowledgeable about the history of area and the castles. He took time to get to know members of our group, accommodated for bad knees, and went out of his way to create multiple special memories for us. He is truly passionate about providing a fabulous experience. The Eagle’s Nest Tour created lifetime memories, and the day was made special by Maciej!

Our tour guide Maciej was absolutely incredible. He made it the best day ever. He made sure we stayed on schedule and planned everything so well so that we could miss the crowds and see everything in the best order and not miss anything. He made sure everyone was comfortable the whole time and was knowledgeable about every castle and the history and of krakow and Poland. He was the most accommodating person and went out of his way to help each one of us in specific ways that was above and beyond our expectations. Some of us have trouble with stairs and he made sure to find a way around some of the stairs and let those who wanted to explore more to have that opportunity. For those of us who are claustrophobic and can’t be in an elevator, he guided me personally up the stairs instead. He ran ahead of us the entire time to make sure to pull the car around and get the tickets by the time we got to each place. He pulled out a stool each of the hundred times we got in and out of the van to accommodate those who have more mobility issues. Someone in our group desperately wanted to buy a souvenir magnet and it was cash only and Maciej ended up buying it for him which was just so kind. I would recommend bringing cash with you!! The tour ended up being 12.5 hours. It was my birthday and it was the best day ever. With a different tour guide it would have been a much different experience. The small group of the four of us (plus Maciej) was such a great way to experience the trip. Every one of the six castles was unique and special in its own way and worth seeing. I would absolutely recommend this trip and especially our tour guide!

Maciej Is a great guide and has so much information to share. His love of Poland and his depth of knowledge about its history was on display the whole day. My wife and I were happy to spend our last full day of vacation visiting the amazing castles and the Polish countryside near Krakow.

This tour was truely amazing. We had a really great time with Maciej. He showed us so many nice places and explained so much about the area, the castles and polish history. We took this tour in mid April as a private tour and it was truly stunning. Our guide Maciej was amazing. He picked us up and on the way to the first castle and throughout the whole trip he explained so much about the area, the castles and Polish history. Very intersting. We had plenty of tie to explore. We do higly recomment this trip and will be doing it again when we´ll be in Cracow. We are travelling a lot, but this was for sure one of the best tours we´ve ever done.

Maciej was an absolutely amazing guide. My son and I were lucky to be his only tour participants. We were treated like family! Maciej shared personal stories that gave us insights into Poland past and present. He knew the castles and their history and personally showed us around at all of them. He would even send us up ahead while he paid for parking then would run up to meet us and give extra context for what we were seeing. It was the perfect day. I can’t recommend it more highly!

Our tour guide was great. Very personable, knowledgeable and focused on the tour. We missed a few things due to it being winter and some locations closed or too far away while the sun is up but would recommend this to everyone.

Five of us traveled together in a comfortable van with a very knowledgeable and kind man named Matthew. All along the way he provided information about historical battles, rulers, villages, nature, and personal experiences. We visited the seven most popular castles along eagles nest and I won’t lie, it was a work out. My mother, with a bad hip and two bad knees, joined us for the day, and though there were some staircases she couldn’t manage, Matthew was able to help her avoid these and provide her with alternative routes and views that she could manage. We were aLeo accommodated with plenty of bathroom stops for my kids as well. Because we went in early November, the tours were devoid of tourists and leaf covered trees. This provided us with some absolutely amazing views and photos. Pack a lunch and plenty of water and enjoy the tour! You will not regret this one.

This was a perfect day trip from Krakow. The coordination for picup and drop off was great. Maciej was an amazing guide. He truly loves what he does and it shows in the care he takes and stories he tells. The tour itself was smaller so it made the adventire much more personable.

Wow! Could not recommend highly enough! Maciej picked us up for our all-day tour on time and was constantly answering our questions about the area. He knows an incredible amount about the local area, Polish history, and even the history and geography of the surrounding countries. We went to a number of castles where he made sure to communicate ahead with every location so we were always expected and allowed in without delay. He gave us helpful tips on how long we should aim to wander in each area in order to keep to our schedule, but was always willing to be flexible if we wanted to linger longer or leave early. Additionally, I proposed to my girlfriend of three years of this trip and when I made my intentions known to him several days before the tour, he sent me photos of several different areas he thought would be scenic, quiet place to do it. His most recommended spot was absolutely perfect and it made for an unforgettably engagements with incredible pictures that HE TOOK without any additional charge. He also always made sure to keep stops in mind for food, drinks, and bathroom breaks. As a seasoned traveler this tour could not come recommended highly enough, but Maciej went above and beyond to make it my dream trip for a proposal (she said yes btw). In closing, Maciej is a thoughtful, professional, organized, and knowledgeable guide and tour operator and I highly recommend trusting him with any tour or experience that he offers.

Wow, what a tour! Maciej took my wife and I on a 100 kilometre adventure touring castles along the Eagles Nest Trail. The castles, some of which have been used as backdrops for movies and television series, including Game of Thrones, were fascinating. Some of the castles included on site museums featuring artifacts found during the reconstruction or repair of the sites. It was a long but fruitful daylong tour. Maciej provided the history of each castle allowing us to better understand the role it played in Polish history.

Mateus (Mathew?) was an extremely knowledgeable guide. He tirelessly explained the unique aspects of each of the 8 castles along the route. He tailored the route to the experience and desires of the guests creating a wonderful tour. I heartily recommend this to castle lovers.

If you're a fan of castles, nature or just seeing parts of a new country that you wouldn't typically get to see, this is the tour for you! We had an absolutely magical time touring each of these individually unique castles, with the perfect amount of time spent at each place to make the most of our time there. Matthew was a brilliant guide, and matched the vibe and energy really well :). He was so informative and answered all of our questions! While it was unfortunate that some of the castles were closed for the off-season, this did mean that the castles that were open felt pretty exclusive as we were the only ones there. Would 100% recommend!

We were collected on time from our hotel by a friendly good safe driver. He kept us informed about timings and plans to visit various castles including one used in Game of Thrones all along the eagles nest chain. Great informative tour and all entrance fees are included.

This was our second tour in a week with our guide, Maciej (Matthew). We intended to rent a car and do this tour on our own, but we were able to experience so much more with Maciej without the worry about opening times, parking, schedules, and all the other logistics that he handled seamlessly for us. I'm so glad we had Maciej as our guide! The van was comfortable and Maciej was an excellent driver, telling us about the area and stopping along the route for unique photo opportunities, including some unexpected surprises. He really customized this experience for us and we highly recommend him. We really enjoyed visiting so many castles and the monestary visit to see the black Madonna in Czestochowa was wonderful. Similar to our other tour with Maciej, we had plenty of time for photos and visiting each site. There were also sufficient rest stops for coffee/snacks and toilets. Maciej is an excellent and safe driver, which we appreciated. We spent about 13 hours total with Maciej for this tour and look forward to booking with him again in the future. We had a wonderful day exploring the castles in the Eagle's Nest tour. The different castles vary from large, sprawling ruins to fully renovated (and containing museums). Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, plus the small group size (there were just 4 of us) meant that we got personal attention. Very highly recommended.

I loved the variety of castles - everything from ruins to renovated museum. A perfect way to see the countryside, learn history, and have a lot of fun climbing up and down towers! My family loved it, even the hard-to-please teenagers.

Maciek was an amazing tour guide for us! He is extremely knowledgeable on all of the castles on the tour and many other places in the areas we drove through. He was even able to give us history/information on other castles that were not open to the public. Wonderful sharing of legends and tales of the area. He was very respectful of things we wanted to see and do. He even made accommodations for one on the tour that was having issues with some steps/long walks around a few of the castles. We had lunch at a restaurant he suggested! So many choices!! Best Goulash! ❤️ On the way back to Krakow, he continued to point out things for us to see in Poland’s beautiful countryside and towns. We had a very full day and would highly recommend using Maciek for any of your site seeing needs! I know I will be! 😊

To start with the views are amazing!! The stories were even better. Our guide was a wealth of information on the history of the castles and area. He even went out of his way to suggest places to see when we got back to Krakow. His passion for the history of this land really shows! My friends were shocked to find out that castles could be found in places other than Scotland.

I cannot more strongly recommend this trip. This is by far the best tour I have ever been on in any of the many countries I have visited, here is a list of reasons why it is so good 1. For a tour of this many castles and transportation there it is a steal! 2. The guide is knowledgeable and friendly, who truly enjoys introducing you to his country and it shows. 3. You are not rushed through the exhibits. 4. You see more than just castles but the amazing Polish countryside. 5. The exhibits (castles) are breathtaking that pictures do not do justice.
