Eugene arrived on time and was very helpful The tour was very eye opening
Transfer was smooth and driver Bart kept us informed by WhatsApp all the time. The guide was very knowledgeable able to answer all questions. We do feel however that it is over sold with too many groups trying to get around, this resulted in you feeling rushed, without sufficient time to see everything as the following group are wanting to see things as well. There should be more time between the groups.
The actual tour is well worth it and very moving. A few organisational issues. The minibus driver and his colleagues weren’t all that communicative about the little things that make the difference eg ‘meet here in 20 mins, join the queue and your tour guide will join you shortly etc etc’. Just a bit lacking. The minibus driver also spent most of the journey to Auschwitz looking at his mobile phone - possibly not illegal in Poland but a bit disconcerting to a UK citizen travelling abroad when we are so used to the obvious safety concerns in our own country. One other issue - when we had WhatsApp contact from the tour operators they offered us packed lunches. These weren’t particularly cheap but more importantly we were handed them by the driver on the day, who then told us we couldn’t eat them in the minibus! It actually proved difficult eating the food anywhere else as there was no easy or convenient time to sit down and consume the meal. We ended up taking it back to our hotel later on to eat. Bottom line is I wouldn’t bother with the tour operators packed lunch again!
On time, friendly, helpful in explaining what was going to happen during the day. Excellent experience 👍👍
A huge thank you to Bart, our driver, and Eugene, our guide! Bart made our journey completely seamless and comfortable, while Eugene helped us deeply understand the emotional weight and history of Auschwitz. Together, they made this a truly meaningful and unforgettable experience.
Trip was perfectly guided by our tour guide Eugene. My friends and I were picked up on time and the trip was well organised. Eugene was a great tour guide and I would recommend this tour.
Eugene was amazing you could tell he really cared and had real emotion when he was giving the tour. Very approachable and knowledgeable. My 13 year old son is very shy but felt comfortable asking Eugene a question and Eugene gave a thoughtful replying and explanation on a way a teenager would understand. This is my second visit and if /when we come i again I hope we have the privilege of being in Eugenes groups again. We had booked a tour a month before we came and they cancelled on us the evening before the tour. So this was a last minute booking but a booking im very glad we made
Do not book this company. They cancelled the day before and ruined our holiday. We had booked weeks ahead so it was all planned and Wonderway blamed civil unrest as an excuse. Luckily we found another tour operator to help us out at the last minute.
Informative. Emotional but well organised trip. Our driver Sebastian was very good. Pickup on time. Good driving
The transfer was seamless, my guide Eugene was fantastic and very knowledgeable and made sure questions were answered. The option to pre book a meal was nice as well. They did change my booking to a time 3 hours before the one I booked. Yet all in all a great tour
Bart’s driving service was absolutely impeccable. His manners, reassurance and information was amazing, he made us feel so safe and secure too and from our trip today. As for Eugene, his knowledge and connection was something we had never experienced before, he truly cared about ensuring we got the most out of our experience today and again made us feel so reassured and safe. As three young girls we couldn’t have asked for a better pair to take us through our trip today. Thankyou very much Bart and Eugene! As for Auschwitz itself, what a surreal and emotional experience.
Excellent and informative account of a shocking period in history by our guide, Eugene. Couldn't recommend more!
Our guide was Eugene and he was absolutely fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable, passionate and an overall great guide for the day.
I booked the 9am tour, the evening before I had a message saying times had changed to 6am, then another one to 5.30am..! On reaching Auschwitz it was very apparent the pick up time was never 9am it was always 5.30am..! Just be honest about the pick up time, if I'd known I would have booked a later tour. The tour guide was brilliant, very friendly and very knowledgeable, would highly recommend, just check the pick up time...!
Eugene was our guide, he drove us there and we were part of a larger group that he hosted around both parts of the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared information in a very thought provoking and respectful way given the circumstances, thank you.
This tour of Auschwitz/birkenau is something you do and you must do before leaving Poland. Our guide Eugene was superb. Articulate and thoughtful in his understanding and explanations of the horrors of the place, he gave a masterful tour. The experience is difficult, made moreso by the numbers of visitors. But that’s sort of the point. People need to see this place and 2M do so every year. Yet despite the challenges in bringing a large group through, Eugene still manged to impart the key information and ideas of the shoah, and even relate it to events of today. We began our tour in Krakow and on the long drive to the camp Eugene engaged us in discussion even relating his personal experiences and motivation for doing what he does. His guidance on navigating us through the crowds was masterful and his presentation of everything from the horrible details of life in the camps to discussions of the “other” were all spot on. Horrible, respectful, and designed to educate and allow us to “feel” the horror some 75 years later. I recommend this tour without hesitancy, and I commend Eugene for his humanity and his dedication in compassionately leading others through this place of horror.
We had a fantastic experience on our Auschwitz tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow. Bart was our driver and was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Eugene was our tour guide and was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the history, explaining everything in a way that was both informative and engaging. His knowledge really added to the experience of such an important and emotional place. Both Bart and Eugene were professional, friendly and a credit to the company. They helped make the whole day run smoothly, and we really appreciated their efforts. If you’re booking this tour, we would highly recommend asking for Bart and Eugene!
Driver Eugene was brilliant, all perfectly organised, the tour was extremely informative and very surreal
Eugene was Kind and professional and explained everything the day was going to be, he also made sure he was early and would be on hand to assist with any questions any of the group had - 10/10 would go again
Lovely historically important tour with amazing guides and fast rides all the way through, our driver Eugene was excellent.
They canceled it, two days before, becaus 'Indeed, your activity will not be able to take place due to riots occurring at your destination.', no Riot was were....
Very good experience, from pick up at our hotel through the tours of both camps. Eugene our bus driver and guide for the day was amazing. Very informative and delivered with such empathy.
My tour got cancelled the night before. This was an educational visit for my son who was very upset with this. The company said there were no tour guides. And trip advisor told me it was cancelled due to bad weather. It was 23⁰ and beautiful sunshine on the day we was booked in for. How is this bad weather. Trip advisor are liars and they took 5 days to refund my money. I will never use them again
It was a very pleasant trip. It was well organized and our driver, Eugene, is very knowledgeable, a friendly and open person. I specifically appreciated the open communication and specific information regarding timetables and pick-up points. Our guide was also knowledgeable, friendly and managed to explain difficult topics in a clean and appropriate manner. It was a very positive experience for me
Eugene was amazing and informative. He was passionate and really painted a picture for all to understand. I totally recommend him as a guide for sure!!
This was cancelled the afternoon prior to our planned trip "no tickets available due to the insufficient number of guides". We were extremely disappointed as we had booked and paid for this in August (2 months ago) and it was part of our city break to Krakow.
I wish everyone could experience this tour and get the knowledge we did from our tour guide. Eujene was tremendously thoughtful and I was amazed by his engagement with what he was saying though he’s given this tour many times before. The lessons from this history are more pertinent and timely than anyone should be comfortable with right now and I’m so grateful for those who dedicate their time to teaching us all. If you have the opportunity to do this tour, you should without hesitation. Pickup from our location was so convenient and very punctual. Matthew was a great driver and gave us all the info needed for a smooth experience. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. There are opportunities to buy food & drinks outside of both locations.
Incredible tour. Our tour guide Eujene provided an experience that deeply resonated with me and emphasized the enormity of the holocaust and concentration camps. I am forever changed because of this tour.
Excellent service throughout. Very well organised with a knowledgeable guide ☺️ would highly recommend.
My guide was sick and coughed constantly ! And the woman who was watching him like a hawk clearly didn’t want to be there . We expect more from a guide service .
Eugene was phenomenal! He really took the time to walk us through all of the history and had so many important facts to share. The use of the headphones were very helpful!!!!
I had a great experience on the Wonderway Tour of Auschwitz. The tour was very well organized, informative, and moving. A special mention goes to our guide, Eugene, who was excellent throughout the day. He was knowledgeable, professional, and provided valuable insights that helped us better understand the history and significance of the site. The only downside was that the pickup time was changed to three hours earlier than originally scheduled. Unfortunately, this meant I had to alter my birthday plans at short notice, which was disappointing. Despite this inconvenience, the tour itself was excellent, and Eugene’s guidance made it a memorable and worthwhile experience. I would recommend this tour to others visiting the area.
Eugene was an amazing guide and driver! Couldn’t recommend the tour with him enough!
To see and sense the cruelty was so humbling—-and you come away a changed person! Eugen our driver was so good at making sure we had our personal needs met (rest room, snack, etc). He was interested in each passenger, and provided conversation related to the locale. The sign when you enter Auschwitz says “Those who fail to remember are doomed to repeat this”. We all must rely on our faith in a living God to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
A huge thank you to the agency for making this experience possible. Our original tour was cancelled the day before, and several other agencies told us that, with such short notice, there was nothing they could do. However, they really went above and beyond to help us and managed to get the tickets for us, allowing us to have this important experience before leaving. The service was truly exceptional, and the person we dealt with was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. We really appreciated all the effort and kindness they showed us. A special thank you also to our guide, Eugenio, who was extremely knowledgeable, clear, and kind throughout the entire visit. He explained everything in a very interesting and sensitive way, making the experience even more meaningful. Thank you again for making all of this possible. We truly appreciate everything you did for us and would highly recommend this agency and this tour! ❤️
If I could rate less than 1 star I would. We booked this trip through Viator and was told the night before at 18:00 our trip was cancelled, leaving me and my partner gutted we were missing out on something so interesting to us. When I asked why we were unable to attend I was told it was because the late booking we made a week before the trip. However, it does not state anywhere that there is a risk of not getting tickets, it still lets you buy the tour. Had we have known there was a risk of not receiving tickets we would have planned our day better but instead was left stranded on our last day in Krakow with every other tour of interest understandably fully booked.
We never got to go on the tour I booked it and paid for the tickets and 3 hours later they cancelled the tour and as yet no refund absolutely disgusting no response from my email they said it was due to the weather but nonsense it was a beautiful day
Hotel pickup was excellent and timely. Once all persons were collected Eugene made easy work of getting to Auschwitz museum. He made sure we knew all the details needed before handing us over to our very knowledgeable tour guide. Great experience considering the subject matter. Would definitely recommend despite the early start.
It was an excellent and very well organised tour. The price was reasonable. The van was big enough, clean and very convenient. The driver Eugene contacted us in advance, providing all necessary information about the trip and the pick up point. He met us on time very close to the place we stay on one way street and was very helpful during the voyage. Highly recommended.
Finally checked this off of my bucket list. Long overdue, but this experience was well worth the wait. Seeing the camps themselves is just breathtaking. Too hard to describe. One has to see for him or herself. So, I’ll focus on the tour package. Pickup was smooth and seamless, as was the drop-off at the end. Our driver, Eugene, was just fantastic. At one point, he expertly avoided a deer who jumped in front of the minivan!. He was an excellent driver and coordinator. All of his instructions were clear and easy to understand. The female guide, at the camps, was informative and professional. Highly recommend this company. Well done!
Our driver, Eugene, was very patient with us as I apparently gave him the wrong hotel name (there are more than 1 hotels in Krakow with the same name) for a very early morning pickup. The pickup was supposed to have been around 7 am, but they had to change it to 5:30 due to the demands of the museum. Once we got to Auschwitz, our instructions were very clear which is always nice with these tours. He handed us off to Anna who escorted us through Auschwitz and then Birkenau. She was very knowledgable about both and told us that her grandfather was part of the rescue medical team that went into Birkenau after liberatlon to try and help the remaining survivors. Admittedly, Auschwitz is trying to process thousands of visitors every day, but that part of the tour felt rushed. We had to quickly move through some of the blocks, and I don't blame this on her but rather on the sheer need to process that many visitors.
It was a truly inspiring and meaningful experience. Eugene was an excellent guide: attentive, punctual, clear, and empathetic. He has a deep knowledge of the subject and manages to convey it with both sensitivity and insight.
Eugene was very knowledgeable. Pick up and drop off at hotel was appreciated
We had the privilege of having Eugene as our tour guide during our visit to Auschwitz, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Eugene was incredibly knowledgeable, respectful and compassionate throughout the entire tour. He explained such a difficult and emotional part of history with so much care, giving us time to take everything in while making sure we understood the significance of what we were seeing. His passion for sharing the history really came through, and the way he told the stories made the experience feel very personal and meaningful rather than simply being a tour. Auschwitz is somewhere everyone should visit if they have the opportunity, and having Eugene guide us made an already unforgettable experience even more special. We are extremely grateful for his time, knowledge and the way he conducted the tour with such dignity and respect. Thank you, Eugene, for an experience we will never forget. ❤️ Robyn and Skye!
was an amazing experience a very eye opening and sad but very worth it for the sense of realism our guide eugene enhanced the experience and went above and beyond
I will never ever go on a tour with this company. I scheduled a trip with them and had to cancel. So rescheduled. They canceled my trip my 9:00 trip back to the original trip time and had to go without my friend due to a conflict with her schedule. I received my refund for my friend's part of the second trip. However I still have not received my refund for the original trip that I had to cancel. Now they're telling me I didn't have a booking with them. It's the Viator link that i went to book my day trip. THEY ARE LIARS! THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
Fascinating place to explore , and the tour did it justice . The guide Anna was very knowledgeable about the site and its history , but also Eugen knew everything about it , and being a solo traveller I spent the whole way to and from the site chatting with him . He was very friendly and helpful . These two guides earned their pay .
Eugene our driver is very accommodating.
Do not book with this provider. It randomly changed the time of the pickup for the tour from 7:00 to 5:00. Had I known of the time change, I would have been ready for the pickup. Then, the tour company refused my request for a refund. Outrageous! Viator did nothing to assist with securing a refund saying it was the tour company’s decision. Disappointing!
