Reviews
Our trip was cancelled the day before (& I had booked in advance) - reason given weather but the conditions were perfect. Managed to book a trip though a tourist office in the town, who were surprised our tour had been cancelled, could not reschedule as we were leaving the next day. I think that they either overbooked or as someone said because it was a public holiday the staff decided to take a day off. I did get my refund but I was really disappointed as this was the main reason for going to Krakow.
Awful awful awful, bus didn’t turn up for our tour so we didn’t get to go and it ruined our plans for the whole day!
Absolutely avoid this tour by all means. I travelled to Poland on a 2 night trip specifically to do this tour and the tour operator never even showed up to collect me. Then when I contacted support all they could offer me was a refund for the tour. Meaning I had just wasted hundreds on flights, taxis, accommodation and everything else to be here. Fuming is an understatement and I would not recommend going with these people
Not happy at all , between the Viator and their tour Guide there was No communication. In the end we were unable to go as the Tour Guide didnt communicate with us that the tickets were sold out . Luckily we were able to go with another company . Also Viator got as a refund straightaway and they were very apologetic .
This trip was very informative and interesting. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip very memorable. It was harrowing but something needed to be seen.
Tour was operated expertly and efficiently with a tour guide who was incredibly passionate about the Nazi occupation of Poland and the Holocaust. Got to see everything and more (including the Judenrampe) and didn’t feel pressured at all to rush through anything. Tour guide was happy to go at our pace and let us see as much as we wanted for as long as we wanted.
Amazing trip! Nice small group and our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about Auschwitz. The day was planned to perfection and we were the last group out meaning photo opportunities were great and we didn’t have to fight through any crowds. We were given informative guidebooks for the day too, although the guide was so good at explaining things beyond the pictures and artefacts, we didn’t need them! I learned about this subject back in school but not to the extent of what I was taught by our guide yesterday. Seeing everything in the flesh was really difficult to process at times but doing the tour made me feel like these people got to tell their story and their bravery and legacy lives on and inspires us all, in so many different ways. You can’t not be affected by what happened, and it’s a reminder that we must look out for each other and always try to do better. A must do for visiting Poland and I would 100% recommend this particular tour. As a side note: Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes, be prepared for a lot of walking, and if it’s in the warmer months bring sun cream. Lunch isn’t provided so it’s a good idea to bring snacks and expect to be back late depending on what time you have the tour! I never saw anybody taking selfies yesterday, but sometimes you do get people and we need to remember this place is a graveyard in some respects, it’s not just a museum.
Michael was a wonderful tour guide! He was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He shared multiple facts and stories throughout the tour. He made sure to show us every part of the camp that he could and answered any questions we had. One of the best tours we’ve ever had! Five stars!
Everyone should visit this hellish place at least once in their lifetime if they can. It's extreme. And desperately sad of course. But Michael, our guide, was knowledgable, friendly, considerate and kind. He helped make the day memorable and informative, too.
Definitely use this trip to see the harrowing yet must do visit to aushwitz. Picked up from our hotel by artur in small comfortable mini bus for 1hr 10 min journey with 10 other travellers. Artur was polite professional and spoke perfect English, was then met at aushwitz by Michael our guide who again was friendly respectful polite and knowledgable. Was then met by artur after the tour and taken back to hotel. Thoroughly recommend using this trip as cannot fault it in any way
Brilliant guideMichael. Would recommend this company and the trip. Very sad but interesting. People need to visit if they get chance
We had a great time on the Aushwitz tour. Our tour guide Michal was excellent and picked us up straight from our hotel and guided us round the whole day. Thank you for the gift at the end of the day and we really appreciate the insight into krakow you gave us!
Michal is a brilliant tour guide. He took us First to Birkenau then to Auschwitz. The pace was just right, giving us time to stop and ask questions as well as reflecting upon the horrific events that happened there. Michal was also happy to chat and give us cultural and historical information about Poland. Fantastic tour. Sabrina and Simon
It was the most magnificent and impressive tour I have ever seen, although I have seen many cities, museums and architectural masterpieces… But the most important thing here was our guide Mr. Mike, who showed us the best hospitality and amazing knowledge.
Fabulous from start to finish, easy booking process with viator, fabulous communication from our local guide (funtoursCracow) regarding our collection point. Micheal our tour guide was truly amazing and made our day special, he showed us all of the great sites and others that were typically missed from other tour operators, he was on point with his answers to my many questions and cannot recommend him enough! Thank you
Our tour guide was very lovely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our trip. Really friendly would highly recommend
Weather was surprisingly hot, and didn’t expect this as included a lot of walking, parts of the tour included was being taken into many sad rooms in which people suffered in, and was full of correct dates, people and facts!
Our tour guide Michael, met us at our hotel and made the 90 minute drive to the camp pleasurable. Michael was very personable and friendly and told us about Krakow, World War II, and Auschwitz on the way. Throughout the camp, Michael made sure we saw everything, and pointed out historical facts at each spot. He helped us navigate the shuttle between camps and allowed us time for breaks throughout the day. Our our drive back to Krakow, we asked Michael for a dinner recommendation and he took the time to call the restaurant for us to make sure we would get a table, and dropped us off right in front. He was very helpful all day.
Niestety muszę wystawić bardzo negatywną opinię. Nasza wycieczka do Auschwitz została odwołana dosłownie w dniu wyjazdu, bez wcześniejszego uprzedzenia.
Extremely touching and important place. A visit to the Auschwitz memorial is a powerful experience, which leaves a deep mark. The museum is very well organized, the explanations are clear and respectful, and everything helps to really understand the tragedy of the Holocaust. It is not a light visit, but it is essential to reflect and not forget. Recommended for everyone, at least once in a lifetime.
A unica coisa que podia ter sido melhor era o facto da guia ter ido connosco dentro do museu De resto tudo bem
